It was another new week for new things. Ashley had woken up as early as she could, took her bath, and got ready for school. She took her paper spray and activated her tracker on her phone. She then walked to the front of her mirror and sighed, today was D-day. She had to be prepared. If no one was going to tell her what to do or how to go about it then she had to take matters into her own hands. When she heard her parents talking in the corridor, she quickly grabbed her bag and bolted out of her room, shocking her parents to the core. Ariana flinched and was holding her husband tightly because she wasn't expecting that. Ashley forced herself to stop laughing because of the killer look she received from her mum. "I am sorry, Mum. I didn't mean to. Good morning." Ariana nodded and wanted to get off her husband but Brown was holding her tight with a mischievous smirk. Ariana glared and then stepped on his toes lightly. Brown had no choice but to release her and care for
"Arghhh. My head...It hurts so bad." Ashley groaned as she tried to straighten her neck. Due to the long and bent position of the neck, it started affecting her as well not to talk about the fact that she was almost blinded by the lights pointed towards her direction. She wondered where she was and tried to rack her memories for what could have happened. Her hands were tied backward while sitting on a chair. She remembered taking a cab and was on her way to Josh's house. Then it dawned on her. The cab driver had brought out something like perfume and sprayed it on himself. He sprayed too much that it made her cough and he apologized before he continued talking non-stop again. Slowly, Ashley's eyes started getting drowsy and she fell asleep. What would an old possibly want to do with her? She glanced at the wall clock and saw that it was already 10 pm yet there was no one around. Her parents must be frustrated. They must be looking for her nonstop. This made her fear a lot
"You are finally here, huh? I was wondering when you were planning on coming to save her. The fun wouldn't be called *fun* if it's just going to be her alone. I bet she doesn't know who you..." Alex dragged him by the collar and punched him hard before he could complete his words. "Alex?" Ashley whispered. Her hopes rose a bit and she smiled. Only if she could turn around to see him fight. She could only hear the fight, punches, and groans. Who was winning? Who was losing? They were putting her in so much suspense but that which was important was that Alex came to save her. He came! The man groaned and finally wiped the blood that was coming out of his nostrils. They had been fighting for a few minutes but surprisingly, Alex was very strong. A very good counterpart as well and he was only eighteen. The training he must have gotten must have given him a far edge in winning. He looked at Alex and smirked. "I can't believe that you are this powerful. I mean, you are t
"Louis, I don't know what's wrong or what could be happening. I feel like it's because of him again." Jennie said to her boyfriend on the phone inside her bedroom. She was looking pale and lost as well because she was worried. When she heard that Ashley had been kidnapped, the first thing she did was to call Jonathan and inform him at her office. She wasn't sure why she did that but since that night they came to her office and she knew that it was some sort of gang stuff, she wasn't at rest and that was why she wanted her sister to stay away from him. "Calm down, Jennie, please. If you are this anxious and nervous, you might ruin things. Remember that your sister confides in you so please don't ruin this before you wake up. Pretend not to know about it and just be as shocked as they are. Whenever Ashley wakes up, she will attend to them." He advised. Jennie wiped her tears. "Thank you, baby." "It's fine." By the time Jennie turned around, she saw her mother at the
It's been a few days since the incident happened but guess what? Ashley was instructed to stay inside. She didn't leave the house for whatever reasons best known to her parents. Her electronic gadgets excluding her laptop were taken from her so she had to be homeschooled. At least, her school's website had that feature. She was able to watch live lessons and also contribute. But the house was very boring. She couldn't even leave the place. Somehow, she knew that her mother was using this to punish her. She claimed not to trust whatever explanation that she gave to the cops earlier that day. Ashley was also stubborn and hell-bent on not revealing anything. She couldn't get through to Alex and her friends - those guys had to come and visit her at home. They would give her a lot of gifts regarding some interesting topics in class then give her a few gifts but this exact day they came, she had to open up to them. "Alex wants to see me but for the past few days, I can't l

Her eyes widened and when the stranger realized that she wasn't resisting him anymore, he slowly removed his palm from her mouth and pulled down the mask on his face. Ashley was shocked. "Alex?" He looked into her eyes, short of words to say. He looked away and slowly got off her. He distanced himself and sighed. Ashley rose and sat down. She was surprised to see him but before she could say a word, her phone suddenly rang, scaring her. It was Sammie calling. She answered th
"Since that night, I was told to keep shut. I only had the opportunity to spend the earliest four years of my life with my mother. I still miss her but till now, I don't know the cause of their argument. The man that I saw kissing her was nowhere to be found when I wanted to look for him. I checked my father's bedroom, his study, and everywhere else, but there was nothing that could give me a clue to finding out what happened. About my trauma, right at birth, I was declared someone with low brain capacity. I could turn out to be a slow learner or easily grasp things." "That's why you never performed well in class," Ashley added with wonder. "Hmm. I tried using drugs to solve my trauma because whenever I remembered that cold, thunderous night I don't feel at ease. While growing, I didn't have the desire to do what my father wanted me to do. I just wanted to be a normal person and live a normal life but I guess time didn't let me. I saw kids my age play happily and speak goo
The next morning, Ashley woke up feeling great. It was as if all the pain that she had been feeling ever since she fainted had suddenly disappeared. She needed to wake up early because of the live classes that she had which began at 8. At first, she reached out to her phone after muttering a few words of prayers. Then a message dropped in from Alex and immediately, she felt excited to view it. "Hey, pretty, good morning. How are you feeling? I feel like I haven't apologized enough for causing a lot of traumas in your life and I am sorry. I am really sorry. I hope to be able to show you a new Alex and I will make sure not to disappoint you. I love you." Ashley covered her mouth and hid her face with her blanket. They already kissed yesterday and now things were looking real again between them. She's got herself a new boyfriend. A real and first boyfriend in her life. This was the best news ever. She replied to his message with a few words of encouragement and immediat
