A STEP INTO A NEW WORLD

Lovelyn's POV,

The drive to Richard mansion was a brief one, I kept glancing out through the car window why wondering how it will feel like stepping into the mansion. At some point I felt insecure about the whole thing.

"What if I feel out of place there, what if I slip and fall down while walking, what if I mistakenly break any costly gadget there, what if..?" Many fearful thoughts kept going through my mind.

I drifted out of my deep thought when I felt Jamaima hands on my shoulder.

"Girl where have your soul been, it's been like ages I've been calling you" she exclaimed as her friend hissed before leaving us behind.

"What have you been thinking about?" Jamaima asked with hands akimbo.

"Ah nothing" I quickly answered as she stared suspiciously at me.

"Lovelyn you don't have to be afraid of anything, I'm here with you, this is my party, my birthday party" she said as though she read my mind.

I tried to relax as my eyes went round the compound in a minute, the beautiful sight that behold my eyes left me with a wow.

"Your brother's house is so huge and beautiful" I complimented as Jamaima smiled.

"This is just a tip of an iceberg, the inside will interest you more, let's go" she said before dragging me along.

I felt like I was in another world when I stepped into the building, the doors were really out of the world, my reflection met my eyes as I stared down at the floor, the walls shone with great magnitude making me wonder what was really used in beautifying it. Mere looking at the seats in the sitting rooms, one could tell it was worth billions. I tried to comport myself at the sight of four guys in the room who were obviously staring curiously at me.

"Come with me" Jamaima said as she dragged me towards one of the seats in the room.

"Hi guys" she greeted as one of the guys replied her gesture with a smile.

I didn't fail to notice the arrogance and ego surrounding the guys, they were indeed rich and the kind of guys every lady on campus would definitely want as their man judging from their looks and appearance.

I scanned their faces while wondering which of them might be the said Richard which everyone yearns to see his face.

"Where is my brother?" Jamaima asked the guys.

"Oh the almighty Richard is not even here" I sighed within myself.

"Your brother, I hope he is not scary" I whispered to Jamaima while still staring at the guys who were now focussed on their phone.

"Should I tell you the truth?" Jamaima asked with a funny face " my brother is so cold, mean and scary but that shouldn't bother you, you are here for me not him" she said with a slight smile as I nodded while wondering were her friend that came with us might have left to.

"Your brother is in his room" the fair one in the midst of them replied.

"You didn't tell us you have a beautiful friend" the guy said while staring intently at me. I looked away due to his lingering gaze at me.

"Jaden no not her, so stop having that crazy thought in your mind, she is not like every other girl out there" Jamaima hastily said with a serious face as the guy smiled without saying a word.

I couldn't wrap myself on the reason behind Jamaima sudden serious countenance.

"Come with me" She said as I followed her out of the house.

"Please don't fall for those guys sweet words, they are just like the devil that is so sweet in the outside but full of mischief, wickedness and devious attitude in the inside" Jamaima said getting me more confused.

"....but that was a harmless compliment, it's not like I have anything to do with any of them" I said as she suddenly stopped walking and stared directly at me.

"I know what I'm saying Lovelyn, didn't you see how they were looking at you as if you are some kind of food to them? You are too naive to understand these things but trust me girl, stay far from those guys throughout this night" she said as I nodded not wanting to argue further with her.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we started ascending the stairs leading to God knows where.

"To see my brother" she replied as I felt my heart hammered against my chest.

"Uhm your brother?" I asked to be sure I just heard right.

"I said that a moment ago" she replied as she suddenly stopped.

I almost froze at the sight of what I saw. He stared at us with the coldest eyes I have ever seen before pushing away the girl from his body.

"Just leave this moment you bitch" he shouted at the lady who gently stood up with her laps dripping of semen, I felt totally embarrassed at the sight before me, Jamaima friend dressed her skirt before walking past us with no atom of shame on her face.

"I can't believe Jace can stoop this low" Jamaima mumbled while staring at the retreating figure of her friend.

"Big bro I can't believe you can do this to me, even on my birthday?" Jamaima asked angrily as the guy walked past us without sparing a glance at me.

I finally let out the breath I had been holding for a long time immediately the guy left us.

"Hush, is he your brother?" I asked while trying to breath normal.

"Yes, he is the one" Jamaima replied while staring into space.

"He is indeed scary and bad as you said" I said as Jamaima finally stared at me with an angry eyes making me to feign a sorry face at her.

"I'm sorry" I said as I noticed a trace of tears which she cleaned immediately.
