LUCAWe ploughed through the crowded room of a club in Costa Rica. My men were spread out across the room, I didn't want to cause a scene and have him slip out of my grasp when I almost had him. Once we got his location, my men proceeded to tailing Romano but we were meticulous enough so he wouldn't notice a breach in his security system when Miko hacked into it.But for a man hiding he sure is stupid enough to be carelessly having fun in a public space when his life is in danger. LUCA“What are you brooding about?” Enzo asked, walking into the private sector of my jet plane and taking the seat in front of me. We're headed back to Madrid after dealing with Romano and the rest of the goons he'd run off with to Costa Rica. And I left the rest for the clean up crew to handle with Gabe and Miko incharge. “I’m not brooding.” I mutter bitterly without sparing him a look, I know he's going to start lecturing me, I don't need him to talk because I knew what he was going to say. I take a long drag of my whiskey drink from the tumbler in my hand.Once I'd gotten out of the club, I drove back to the port with Enzo trailing behind me. It's been three days since Luca set out to find his enemy, the one that had attempted to kidnap me and I found out from the whispers of the guards that guarded the house after Luca’s departure, the man that had attempted to take me that night was one of his Luca’s men. His name was Darius.And I found out that Luca had laid waste to him. His betrayal must have affected Luca in some way, given he was part of Luca's organisation. She’s not like us, I’m not going to drag her further into my world.” I say with a grim expression contouring my face. I take another drink of my whiskey, the cool liquid burns down my throat as I chunk the rest of it. “No, she’s not.” He concurs, putting his glass down on the stool beside him. “Then don’t talk about it anymore. I don’t need a queen to run my empire.” I state, dispelling the topic. It wasn’t one I wanted to talk about. He doesn’t speak after that, just watches me, I feel his gaze on me.
