LUCA“We’ve found the punk that caused the club incident.” Enzo reports when he walked into my office, Gabe strides in behind him.“Good. Where was he found?” I asked, leaning into my chair. I propped my right elbow against the handrest and laid my head against it.“At one of the club house, the guys there said the fucker just wandered in mindlessly, so they contacted us once they had him pinned down.” Gabe explained.“That’s good, what else?”“Nothing more, sir. He just… he wasn't in the best of shape when we got there.”“It’s nothing less to be expected when you walk into enemy territory looking for trouble.” I convey, laying slow taps on my temple with my index finger. “Except it wasn't the guys that beat him up and he wasn't there for sabotage either, he probably didn't even know it was our turf. He was on the run.” My brow arched in interest at the information Gabriel disclosed. “Where is he now?” “We stuck him in the cellar.” Enzo responded impassively. I stand up, fixing my
LUCAI left Enzo in charge of little Bryan, even though he'd stirred trouble at my club that brought Torrento to my doorstep, I couldn't ignore the fact that he was just a kid and he'd been used.I was a monster but I do not prey on the innocent, but I definitely have no problem crushing those who do especially when said innocent are put up against me. We did a little digging after Bryan's teary confession. His mother was stricken with stage one lung cancer and needed urgent treatment. Aside from his mother, he also had a younger sister to look after, thus his desperate act that led to this shenanigan. And we found out that the goons who'd assigned Bryan his job were Romano's low-ranking hooligans. I should have known but I had a lot of enemies, anyone could have done it. But this time Romano wasn't directly involved and they'd thought if they snagged a major job from their boss's arch nemesis they could go up the ranks—we’d caught a few of them and Enzo drew their confessions out of
LUCAI couldn't stop watching her as she slept softly in my arms. And once again I've found myself lying beside her, in my bed, savouring the warmth of her gorgeous, naked body on mine. We fucked into the night, having an interval break because of dinner before I took her again. I couldn't get enough of her, it was almost like I was possessed by something and the only thing I ever wanted was her.Her outfit had been extremely sexy. It turned on something in me that was too primal and untamed, and I couldn't resist my urge to take her. And as usual, I'd worn her out. She's lain splayed on me, her fingers were dug into my hair, face and breast on my chest and one of her legs was slung over my waist. She's asleep like the most beautiful creature in the world and my heart palpitated from the mere sight of it. She was mesmerising in every fucking damn way and I couldn't help but get absorbed by her.She stirred when I sift the hair that had glued to her forehead, trailing down the sides of
LUCA“What the fuck do you want, Romano?” I snarl at my arch rival through the screen of my laptop, cutting his phony greeting. He tuts. “And still as violent and as bitter as ever, Moretti. But I guess some things never change.”“I won't be asking again—”“Yes, yes, I heard you the first time,” He leans backwards into the chair he sat on. I could fully see his upper body now. His clean trimmed hair combed back with a strand that falls over his forehead, sharp golden brown eyes that looked at me with hate and his neatly trimmed dark beards that featured specks of white. Emerald stoned rings lined the knuckles of his fingers and his hand folds over the other. “Truth is… I got bored.” Romano drawls and my jaw ticks, my brows arching.“The fuck do you mean by that?” I seethe through clench teeth but my anger was already starting to leak out of me. I wanted to fucking kill him right now, but I knew something was up. He wouldn't have just called me out of the blue. He wanted something fr
ELIANARough hand against my mouth pried my eyes open and jerked my body up. My mind was foggy but I cleanly remember Luca stepping out of the room to attend to business as he said. This was not Luca’s hand. And they'd never cover my mouth and nose in an attempt to seize my breathing either.I writhe, struggling against whoever's stronghold it was, my screams muffled by cold hands. The room was dimly lit and the shadows crowned the face of the intruder so I couldn't see clearly either but from the body outline and brute strength, I knew it was a man. His low gruffs as he tries to cage me down told me so as well.My heart thumped wildly in my chest and I threshed wildly for my release. “Stay fucking still… you… fucking bitch!” His irritated voice growled into the dark and a smack snaps my head to the side and a searing pain numbs my brain. My eyes stinged with tears and the spot he'd just hit me burned from the intensity of his hand and my body stills underneath him as he held me down.
LUCA“Boss,” Gabe regards me as he walks into the room, a scowl sits on his face.“What’s the situation on ground?” I ask, walking past him with a gun in my hand, my fingers twitching to fucking out a bullet through Romano's brain.“We’ve apprehended the culprit.” Gabe reports and I nod, looking at him expectantly to give me the information I really wanted to hear. His mouth parts to speak his next words when they read mine. “She’s safe. If we had arrived a minute late, he might have escaped.”He states, stepping aside for me as I made a beeline down my hallway that was now littered with a few dead bodies. Some of them I don't recognize as my men, laid amongst the bodies. I'm sure the courtyard would have a few litters as well. To think they were able to disable my security alarm and quietly take out my men, only someone with inside information on how the system works would be able to do so and all my men were trained on that, not because I wanted that sort of information to be broad
ELIANAThe sound of ringing echoed in the dark emptiness of my mind. A sound that I've heard once before. The sound of gunshot. My mind stilled and I tried to pry my eyes open. What happened?Voices rings out around me as I try to focus on the sounds. His voice is the most potent though, weaving strongly around me. It sounded as though he was pissed and somewhat… sad? And I wondered what could have gone wrong? My body's laid against something, not too hard but not too soft either and I wondered where I was. There's footsteps pattering from movements and I feel myself coming out of the darkness.“Luca, she's waking up.” Someone said, the voice sounded close by and familiar. My forehead creased as I tried to put a face to the voice.“Clear up. You're all dismissed.” I hear Luca’s soothing, familiar deep voice, the footsteps clamour before fading out and my heart skips a beat and my body lights up as I suddenly feel his presence closing in.His thick enticing musky scent filled my nostr
LUCA I head into my office where I know my most trusted men are waiting on me. Enzo and Gabe stand by my desk and they all regard me when I enter and walked over to my desk. They both mirror the same grim look, like angry dogs waiting to be unleashed. The ambush two nights ago had dealt a heavy blow on us but even that was not enough to quell their thirst for retribution. “Enzo, what's the report?” “We’re still on the lookout, there have been no recent siting of Romano anywhere. It's almost like he's disappeared.” I grit my teeth, anger washing through me and I clench my fist at my sides. “That’s not possible. He can't just disappear without a trace. He's hiding somewhere and I want him found. Romano’s not fucking slipping away from me after the stunt he just pulled.” “I have Miko and the rest of the security team searching. They've been on it endlessly but we've not had much lead yet— “Then have the security team ace their game. I want no stone left unturned. You all have the n
