(ANNIE’S POV)

“Don’t worry, Annie. I’ll make sure we save you lots of food.” Leo said to me giving me a wink.

Tard rolled his eyes. “Don’t listen to him, Annie. I’LL make sure we save you lots of food.” He said and they went off.

I could hear them arguing in the distance. I turned to look at Alpha Vane and he had his eyes fixed on me. I felt shy under his gaze.

“Well, I really did not expect to see you here.” I summoned the courage to say.

He was dressed in all black as usual but there was something more formal with his clothes. It was tailored with silver and deep blue embroidery on it. He looked like a young Prince.

“And why is that?” Alpha Vane asked me.

“Because you don’t seem like the party type and everyone says it’s hard to set their eyes on you.” I said playing with my fingers as I spoke.

The sound of running water from the fountain nearby was the only sound asides from our voices.
