About the strange man

"We will leave tomorrow by nightfall," he said bluntly, still having his back turned to her.

She wanted to ask why they were travelling at night, when they didn't do anything evil but she decided to let it go. She was yet to get his forgiveness on one thing that she had done, she didn't want to add another offence to it.

"I love to journey at night so that before the day breaks, I'll be where I want to be. I hate to be distracted by anyone when travelling," he said then turned back to me.

Her heart skipped as he turned back. She knew they mustn't hold a grudge when they will soon part ways. He is her benefactor and she wanted to find a way to pacify him.

This time around he was seated back on his bed, staring directly into her eyes like he was trying to read through her soul.

"What would I do to make you know that I'm sorry? I made a mistake and I acknowledged my mistake, " she said sadly.

He still didn't reply to her, he just kept on staring at her.
