Massimo’s POV.
I was so confused at first, I couldn’t even believe my eyes when I saw him holding her, pinned to the wall.
My fist clenched and I felt the rage burning in me while I stared at him angrily.
“And who the hell do you think you are?” He asked, mockingly while buttoning the top parts of his dress. I turned to my newly wedded wife who shivered already and moved quickly, behind me.
“Maybe you’re about to find out, you dare lay your filthy hands on my wife?”
He chuckled and shook his head before folding the lower parts of his sleeves. “I’ve heard about you, Massimo, so much and I must say, they were quite impressive,” He made an attempt to move around Ana and I in circles but I stretched forth my hands in the form of a blockade.
“You dare not come any closer, else, I’ll teach you the lesson of your life.” I warned him. My gaze was directed to the ground. It was a clear show of extreme anger and readiness to venture into a fight, maybe to death, if time permits.
“I’m not scared of you, Massimo, you’re just a little boy covered under the shadow of his father’s influence and wealth…” He smirked with a mocking gesture but was surprised to get the shock of his life. I rushed towards him angrily and jumped on him right to the ground with my fist pouncing on every slight space it could find around his face.
“You, bastard!!” I yelled as I punched him continuously while he managed to swerve his hands in the air in an attempt to retaliate. It was a brutal one for him though, I showed no mercy at it.
“Stop! Sir, please, stop it!” I heard voices behind me with several hands pulling me back. I was in pain. I didn’t get to unleash the magnitude of pain which I felt at the moment, indeed he was so lucky. I was surprised Anastasya was among those pulling me back when in fact, she should have been the one persuading me to go for the kill.
His face was covered in blood at the moment but he wanted to continue in the fight, he tried so hard to struggle out of their grip and face me again but the security personnel and the bouncers at the hall had rushed in and held him so firmly.
“Take him out of this facility at once! Else I would kill him!” I echoed. He kept on screaming and pointing fingers at me; “You would pay for this! I’ll make sure I come back for you Massimo!” I watched angrily as he was dragged out of sight while I breathed heavily. My world was crumbling on the spot. Several thoughts came into my head.
‘What if I had killed that man? What If I had a dagger on me already?’ I muttered with my eyes directed to both hands while I stood with Ana behind me.
While I stood and wallowed in my thoughts, I felt her hands rub my back and slid through my shoulders. It was such a strange feeling and it came from my arranged wife, someone I had no connection with at all. I turned half way behind and heard her call my name so calmly for the first time since we got married.
“Thank you Massimo, for saving my life,” she said in her soft voice while her second hand coiled around mine. I felt some connection with her right then though, but I wasn’t sure how long it was going to last.
I turned and watched her as she held my hands. I had no clue on what to say at the time but had to at least show some concern since we were in public. “It’s alright my dear, he has to learn his lessons, maybe next time when such an event is held, he’ll do himself good by staying clear.”
I walked out to the hall where the ceremony was taking place, while I stood side by side with Romeo, I discovered something strange within Ana. She wasn’t looking as cheerful as she was before, instead she kept a moody face and held her glass of wine.
My eyes were fixed at her gown, she looked incredibly stunning and by vote, she was the most beautiful and most attractive lady in the room. Everyone watched her while she stood and observed the senator, Macbeth speak on the podium. Romeo turned to me right away and hit me with his elbow.
“Come on boss, why don’t you go stand beside her at least, let those men know she came down here with someone, they’ll get their eyes off her, if you stand here beside me all day, perhaps someone else would mistake her for being single and probably take his shot.”
“Then let him take it,” I cut him sharply right away. “I don’t think there’s going to be any need for that, as far as I’m concerned, no one would dare move an inch close to her, they all know she’s newly wedded and to me, we’re the host, remember?” I smiled back at him while he returned the same. My hands were raised half way into the air and in a bid to have a toast with the young man. “Let’s make a toast, Romeo,”
“Of course, it’s necessary, we have to.” He chuckled and had him raised. “To the newly wedded couple.”
“To the newly wedded couple,” I had my glass collide with his slowly while we both had a quick sip from our glasses. “This wine hits the right spot…” I smiled.
It was quite alarming she was already outside and in the car waiting for me. The Ceremony wasn’t yet over but she wasn’t comfortable at all from all I perceived.
I walked quickly down to her, accompanied by my right hand man, Romeo.
“Seriously? Why are you here? We aren’t done yet.”
“Massimo, I’m sick and tired of this damn gathering, I want to go back home, maybe you’re satisfied with the whole drama, but me…”
“What the hell are you talking about? What drama? You were attacked by an unknown man whom you haven’t even told me about, I rescued you and you still had the guts to walk out of the hall?”
“Maybe you’re comfortable, well, I’m not, I’ll drive, right now, or I’ll get a cab,”
She meant every bit of what she said. We were in public and if I didn’t join her home, it may bring in suspicion from the people around, maybe. I just had to join her in the SUV back home, we’ll have everything settled with the stranger and why he made such a move.
Massimo’s POV. “Ana, I’m talking to you, are you deaf?!” I yelled as I walked behind her while she made way into the building. All along while we sat in the vehicle she kept mute and avoided the questions thrown at her. I needed to know at least. Irrespective of the nature of our marriage I had every right to be aware of the strangers who would interfere in our union as man and wife. She walked hastily into the building and just as she stepped foot into the living room, I held her left hand which was already in the air. “I’m talking to you!” She turned and swayed her hands in a bid to give me a resounding slap but I was smarter this time. I diverted and held her steady while she screamed. “Leave me alone! You bastard!” “When you’re done calling me names, you’ll tell me who the hell that was.” “Massimo, I don’t know!! Okay! He just ran into me while I tried to walk through to the bathroom!” She yelled. Our eyes were glued and I held her even closer to myself this time. I sniffed t
Ana’s POV. I was in thought for so long as I laid on the bed in the room. I couldn’t imagine I would think about Vladimir that much. At first, I felt he deserved the rough treatment but after a while, I realized he was only trying to talk me into getting back to him but ended up being so unfortunate that night. Massi dealt with him mercilessly. I bit my lips and tried to hold up the stare at the chandelier before I heard a knock at my door and right away. I leaped in shock because it was a very hard knock. It sounded like thieves, I stood to my feet and rushed to the window where I picked up an umbrella in defense. “Who’s there?!” I asked, as my voice shrill. My hands were fastened unto the umbrella while I stood and watched the door. “It’s me,” the voice from the other side of the room rang. It was so sweet and like that of an early twenties. I felt at ease and knew for certain I wasn’t in danger at all. Maybe i’ll have to open up and see. “Don’t you have a name?!” “It’s me, Is
Massimo’s POV. I felt pains around my back as I turned and gave out a gigantic yawn. My bones cracked and the sensation of pain increased the more as I whispered, ‘Where am I’. I was so tired and just heard the alarm ring out loud. It was from my iPhone 14 promax. The sound of the alarm was indeed so alarming and troubling that I turned and swiped leftward on the surface of the phone. It had to be turned off. I tried to place my hands on the duvet since it felt a bit cold. ‘Where is this damn blanket?’ I heard the alarm sound again and just as I leaped to swipe left again, I realized the time was already 7:20AM. I was late and had to be fast for work. “How come none of these maidens came to wake me up from sleep? Not even one of my sisters was up here to notify me I had slept so deep and was already late. I rushed down to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I stared at my sleepy face in the mirror and watched my mouth. Traces of dried saliva were spotted down my mouth and I knew
Anastasya’s POV “Ana? Ana,” I heard Isabel call as she walked behind me while I made way to the garage. It was evening already and I wasn’t sure I would be able to cope with the boredom in that house when New York had a whole lot for me to explore. I pretended not to hear her call so hastened my footsteps but she was faster and smarter, she hastened hers and ran in front of me. “Are you trying to tell me that you didn’t hear me call you or what?!” She yelled as she posed angrily in front of me. The Skin on her forehead wrinkled as she stared. “Hmm, I see, and what do you intend to do to me if I refuse to reply to such an insulting call? Is that the rightful way to treat the wife of a don?!” "…And you think the don’s sister should be treated like an actual piece of shit?! Maybe you should learn more Ana, you don’t have to ignore me at all, I have every right to know where you’re going.” “And who the hell says I was going somewhere?” “It’s not a ‘Who,’ Ana, it’s a ‘What’, The car
Isabel’s POV. “Where the hell has this girl gone to?” I muttered as I towed the carrier down to the exact place she stood when I left her to see her supposed visitor. My mind hinted to me earlier that something wasn’t right in that mall, but I failed to understand that at first. It became so mysterious to me when I looked deeper and couldn’t even get a sight of her. “What’s actually going on here?” I mumbled again while I left the carrier and headed to a security personnel I spotted on that axis of the mall. “Please excuse me sir, I’m searching for a friend, she’s blonde, wore navy-blue jeans and a dark dress, she was actually here a few minutes ago.” I demonstrated with my hands. “She’s about this height, 5’ft’6.” The man kept on staring at me like a moron, that got me pissed and I was moved to ask again. “Excuse me sir, I’m actually talking to you,” “And I’m listening,” He replied with his hands crossed. “Huh? So, are you trying to let me understand that you don’t have an idea o
Massimo’s POV. “What the hell do you mean she’s been abducted?!” I yelled on the phone while I stepped off the vehicle. Rome watched me closely and observed I wasn’t myself at all. His hands were clenched together and I could tell he was getting ready for battle already. I was so furious, not because she’s actually been kidnaped, but because of the reaction the Russian Pratva would have in line to this. I imagined the looks on her fathers face when he uncovers that his daughter who just got married to me a few days ago is kidnapped in America, he could drop down the sun on her stead and a possible friction between the Cosa Nostra and the Russian Pratva wasn’t one I was ready for. We had to do everything possible to have this under subjection and on time before it gets worse. “Sister, where are you now?” I said as I walked down to meet the inspector who was already standing close to some of his men while the blockade was made on the walkway into Kyle’s house. I imagined fighting on t
Ana’s POV I felt a rope tied on my hand which was tied behind a wooden chair. I was so disturbed because I felt the sound of mice’s in the room. I couldn’t say for certain if it was in an enclosed area or an open place but one thing was certain. I was alone and heard nothing. My eyes were tied and this made it even more difficult to tell what was actually going on in there. I couldn’t even move parts of my body as I felt almost hypnotized. “Hello, anybody here?” I cried out slowly as I turned my head sideways in a bid to see if I’ll have a sensation of a single human around.“Please, who’s there?! Somebody help me!” I cried out for the second time and luckily I heard footsteps come out of a part in the room. It felt like more than one person entered but didn’t take so long before I sensed the breath coming from a figure who was already behind me. He sniffed my hair behind and had his hands slide through my shoulders. “Such a beautiful skin you’ve got there, the boss would love this
Massimo’s POV. “How the hell would he even talk to me like that, I guess he doesn’t know me,” I reacted vehemently as I drove into my premises with Romeo. We left the crime scene and I needed to be at home. Work was over for me that day because I had so much on my shoulders right away. Anastasya wasn’t the kind of person I’ll have to worry about if she’s truly kidnapped, but her dad was a nightmare. Our marriage was built on the rock my family had with her dad since he was a baron. Someone who was feared by even most governors in Russia. He didn’t need to know about his daughter's disappearance for any reason till she’s found and that wouldn’t take long, I was so certain of that. Whoever took Ana in the United States would do that because of me, I wasn’t sure she had an enemy already in the States.“Calm your nerves boss, you’ll have to take things easy, you know what we’ve been through in such a situation before, we’ll just have to pray that kyles killers made away with the phone,
Ana’s POV. I was trying to catch a glimpse of what he was actually trying to do as he raised my legs up. I tried as much as possible to bear the pain from the doggy sex as he lashed so hard.“Come on, what’s happening? You’re not even moaning at all, this ain’t the real you, Ana, something’s wrong somewhere.” “Massimo, you’re the one on me and just take a look at the way you raised my legs. I’m so uncomfortable and from the way I see it, I don’t think you’re ready to reach orgasm anyway.” I replied. My face stern as I laid on the bed and backed him. I felt so frustrated that I was having unprotected sex with him and all he could do was complain that I wasn’t moaning? If he needed to hear a moan maybe he could go on a porn site and have himself full of it. I tried to relax myself and calm my nerves. Nothing more mattered to me than his ejaculation. He exhaled and sighed before spreading my legs angrily. His hands fastened on my left leg as I felt him thrust. He continued and this t
Massimo’s POV. I was in front of the mirror, adjusting my tie as I tried to shake off the feeling of unease that had been lingering inside me. The atmosphere was tense, and I knew I was in for a rough ride soon. But I wasn't one to back down from a challenge. I took a deep breath and focused on getting ready for the day ahead.Just as I was finishing up, Marco walked into my room. His presence was a welcome distraction from the thoughts that had been plaguing me. "Hey, boss," he said, his voice casual. I nodded, and he continued, "I just talked to Anastasya. She's doing well."My interest piqued, I turned to him. "How's your relationship with her been?" I asked, genuinely curious. Marco's expression was neutral, but I could sense a hint of tension beneath the surface. "It's okay," he replied. I wasn't convinced. Marco's tone seemed off, and I couldn't help but wonder what was really going on between him and Anastasya. I nodded, trying to appear nonchalant, but my mind was racing wit
Massimo’s POV I stood on my balcony, sipping my tea and gazing out at the city below. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the buildings. I felt a sense of calm over me as I breathed in the evening air. Just as I was getting lost in thought, Rome walked and stood beside me."The flowers are ready," he said, his voice low and serious. I nodded, knowing exactly what he was talking about. Those flowers weren't ordinary flowers. They were a part of my business, a means I used to traffic drugs around the country. I didn't have a retail outlet, but a network of people who helped us move our product.I took one last sip of my tea and set the cup down. "I'll be downstairs with them in a minute," I told Rome. He nodded and turned to leave, but not before I caught a glimpse of a smile on his face.As he walked away, I muttered to myself, thinking about all the things I'd been through. The struggles, the fights, the losses. But I'd always come out on top.I built this busines
Massimo’s POV. My eyes scanned the surroundings, and they landed on Vanesa and Marco standing by the garage. My gaze locked onto Vanesa's, and I could see the mix of emotions on her face. But as I took in the scene. The bruise on Marco's cheekbone was a stark reminder of the incident that had taken place. I walked towards them, my strides long and purposeful. Vanesa's face lit up with joy, and she ran towards me, throwing her arms around me in a tight hug. "Massimo!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with emotion. I hugged her back, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Marco approached us, and we shook hands, his eyes acknowledging the tension between us.As I held Vanesa, I glanced over her shoulder and saw my Ana standing at the door of the building, a smile spreading across her face. "Ana?" I said. My eyes never left my wife's. Vanesa chuckled and stepped aside, allowing my wife to run towards me. She jumped into my arms, and I caught her, spinning her around in a circle. Tear
Vanesa’s POV. I couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt and regret that had been weighing me down since I hit Marco. My pride was swollen, and I didn't want to swallow it. Being so arrogant was my thing though, and I felt maybe that day, it would have to come to an end. I walked around the premises, trying to clear my head, but my feet seemed to have a mind of their own. Before I knew it, I found myself standing in front of the garage, where I knew Marco often took a seat to reminisce.I spotted him sitting on a bench, a cigarette dangling from his fingers. I approached him quietly and my face twisted in a mixture of emotions. I couldn’t walk to him because I felt so guilty and couldn’t do anything at all. All that mattered as I stood behind him was asking for his forgiveness right away and letting down my ego. I was astonished as he asked, "What do you want?" without even turning around.I was taken aback, surprised that he hadn't noticed me standing there. I walked around to his s
Isabel's POVI walked into the room, Vanesa following closely behind. The Governor's visit still lingered in my mind, and I could sense Vanesa's anxiety. As soon as we were alone, I turned to her and realized she followed behind."Isabel, what was that all about? Why did the Governor think he'd get away with talking to you like that?" She asked, trying to keep my tone in check.I sighed, looking away. "I don't know, Vanesa, why would you be acting this way? You aren’t supposed to hold me accountable because I just saved us. Just chill, okay? There's nothing we can do about it right now."She frowned, not satisfied with my response. "Chill? You want me to chill? He's threatening our family, Isa. He's trying to manipulate Massimo, and you're just going to roll over?"I sighed, my eyes flashing with frustration. "I'm just saying, Nesa, we can't do anything right now. We have to wait and see how Massimo handles it."I studied her expression, trying to read between the lines. Was she scar
Massimo's POVVodka and I stepped into the luxurious train, the serenity of the interior pricked my interest. The soft hum of the engine and the plush seats created a nice atmosphere, perfect for our discussion. As we sat, he turned to me, his expression serious. "So, Massimo, tell me more about Baize. What makes you think you can take him down even when he’s got the lead?"I leaned back in my seat, recalling the conversation. "I wanted to run for Governor in the next elections, so I went to him for counseling. But he refused to support me unless I gave him a third of my company and...my sister, Vanesa, in marriage."Vodka's eyes widened. "That's serious, Massimo. He's not just asking for business; he's asking for your family's loyalty."I nodded, my jaw clenched. "That's why I consider him an enemy. He's playing games, Vodka, and I won't let him win."I was so hurt. I felt the anger and rage in me erupt but I sat and tried to calm my nerves. The rumble of the train got my attention a
Massimo's POVI stared at my phone, my eyes were fixed on the picture that made my blood boil."Damn!" I shouted, I hit my fist on the table as I stumbled on the picture which displayed on my phone. It felt so surprising to see the Governor of the state, shaking hands with my sister Isabel.‘What was he playing at?’ I muttered, feeling a pang of rage. I felt so bad about it and thought maybe I should leave that damn place as soon as possible because it was looking so obvious that he’s going to deal with them pretty soon. The picture he took with her sounded like a warning and the extent he could go to prove himself to me. Vodka walked in with his dusty boots from the farm. "What's going on, Massimo?" he asked, noticing my frustration.I hesitated as I kept a longing stare at the phone after a quick glance at his direction, but Vodka's curious eyes made me share. "Look at this," I said, handing my phone over to him. His smile faded as he saw the picture. "Who is this guy?" he asked.
Ana’s POV. I was amazed to see the governor of the state in the premises. He hadn’t been there even once. I felt so honored to welcome him though. My eyes flashed around to grace the awesome view of the tinted SUVs which were all lined up at the garage. I stumbled at the security of the governor who was all dressed in their black top and trousers. Some were in corporate attires, their suits were implanted with luxury and their faces looked so fierce and tightened. The manpower in the premises belonging to Massimo was no match, compared to what I saw. I stood, and watched as he walked down to me. His stomach made me smile. ‘Ridiculous, chubby man,’ I mumbled. “Ahh, I think it’s a pleasure to meet with the most beautiful lady in the city,’ he eyes widened as he brought forth his hands to give me a hand shake. “Good afternoon, your excellency,” I said, my face clustering with smiles. I felt my heart race and I was uneased. It could be a nightmare or a blessing. “Of course, it is, I
