CHAPTER 69 MEMORIES

FENRIS'S P.O.V

Once alone Teddy let out a relieved sigh.

"I guess she isn't on your favorites list." I said, stating the obvious.

"If one existed, she would be somewhere at the bottom." Teddy stated as she flopped down on the bed.

I got Elias out of the car seat, getting him changed while she let out another exasperated sigh.

"I thought this would be easier. But seeing her brought up unwanted feelings. I don't even know what to expect of seeing my actual brothers and father or even my wicked stepsister." She said as she leaned up on her arms to look at me.

"What they did to you won't get any easier to deal with, let alone confronting those feelings head on. It takes courage to do that."

"Not to them." She stated as she sat all the way up.

Elias began to fuss right on que after getting changed.

"I guess it's your turn now." I stated as I handed a very hungry baby over to Teddy.

She undid her shirt again as she pulled her breast out. This time it didn't take me off

CHAPTER 70 DOLPH DINNERFENRIS'S P.O.VI looked back at Teddy as she stood from the ground gathering up all her keepsake memories. I started helping to get it all back in the box."We will be down shortly." I said to her stepsister, annoyed at the interruption.I was so close to having her lips on mine once again and poof it was snatched away."I just want to ensure that the King has the proper escort to his dinner." She said in an openly flirtish tone."No thanks. I have all I need right here. You can leave us be." I said turning to look at Teddy while dismissing Allie. The sound of feet stomping away let me know that she got the hint, and I didn't have to repeat myself. Teddy began to push the windowsill up when I put my hand over hers, stopping her. Her eyes looked up to me as her face scrunched up the cute way it does when she was confused. "This is going home with you." I said as I looked at the box from her hand. "It doesn't belong here; we will drop it off in our room before h

CHAPTER 71 TRY METEDDY'S P.O.VI didn't overlook the fear in his eyes. He was at a loss for words. I'm not sure where the sudden burst of confidence came from. Maybe it was Fenris, maybe even Gemma. Or it was an instinct to protect my pup. Either way I meant every word. If he even dares to treat Elias other than the King's Heir, I will kill him with my bare hands, showing no remorse. I always wanted him to be happy, always wanting to please him. But now that I sit here staring at his weak demeanor, I could care less with how he feels or what he thinks. He could die today, and I may not even shed a tear, that's how much I didn't give a fuck. I hadn't realized this until today.I wanted love and affection from him for so long without knowing what that was supposed to feel or look like. But now that I am a mother myself, I don't understand how he could ever treat his pup the way he did. It dawned on me when he spoke poorly of my child. Elias was an infant and didn't deserve the hate tha

I preferred it that way, their voices irritated me anyway.Once Fenris and I retired to the room for the night he began to make a pallet on the ground in the room. As much as I respected what he was doing, I couldn't allow him to sleep on the ground."You can sleep on the bed." I then said as I laid a sleeping Elias in his playpen."Then where are you going to sleep?" He asked, concerned."In the bed." I said as I pulled the blankets back."Do you mean to sleep together?""Yes Fenris, it's not like we've never shared a bed. Just keep your hands to yourself." I said as I climbed in. He quickly jumped from the ground grabbing his pillow and dove right in. I switched the light off and grabbed the extra pillow shoving it between the two of us."Apillow barrier, really?" He then asked with a chuckle."Yes really. So that you know your side and I know mine. Don't cross the pillow." I gr

CHAPTER 73 INTERVIEWTEDDY'S P.O.VFredrick took a seat as I chose a seat furthest away from what was just occuring at the desk."You're not going to sit at the desk like a boss?" He asked questionably."I don't need a desk to be a boss." I stated, although that was not the reason I had chosen to not sit near it."Okay, so what's the process for these kinds of things? I never heard of interviews for consideration of the position before.""This is the new way. So many times have we had Alpha's take over whose personalities should not be in a leadership role. Not always will an interview help determine that. Some Alpha's take longer to really show their true colors. But this way will help us weed out the plain rotten ones.""I'm rotten." Fredrick said, looking to the ground."That's what we will try to determine with this interview." "Why even waste your time with this interview? You already know me." He said before his eyes connected with my own."I know a part of you, yes, but not wh

She nearly hollered."No fucking way!" "Yeah, and then Fredrick showed up before I could really confront them.""Shit... What are we going to do about them?""Nothing, for now." She replied with a wicked grin across her face."Okay, aside from that what else happened?""Aside from Darion and Jessie burning that horrid image in my head, nothing... I do however think Fredrick is a good candidate. But I haven’t met the others yet." She said as she walked over to the windowsill."I sent out letters to all the applicants with set dates for them all to come to the palace for an interview." I said proudly."When?" She then asked."Starting the d

CHAPTER 75 DARION'S CEREMONYTEDDY’S P.O.VFenris and I had spent the next several days talking and discussing what had happened. We discussed our possible outcomes with what we could do and what we must do to prepare for what was coming.Fenris had told me about the day I had some different form of possession. Possession was the only explanation to what happened either time, there was just no other way of describing it. Especially when Fenris told me what I did. I had absolutely no memory of what he said I had done that day. He told me that my eyes were red, making a shiver run up my spine from the possibilities of what that meant.I wished he would have mentioned this sooner. However, he reminded me that I avoided him at every cost, keeping our talks minimal. He wasn't wrong, I had been doing that. The only reason we were conversing now was because I basically despise everyone here. He wasn't high on the list of likes but at least he wasn't as bad as these people."So when we get ba

Kingston wouldn't allow a threat to present itself to his mate, let alone a man thinking he could intimidate someone solely because he used to."She disrespected me one too many times." Drake hissed through the gap in his front teeth."She can say as she pleases. Especially if the truth is all she speaks." I said as I rose even higher, showing him he had no intimidation over me."Sh...Sh...She called me a...a...an idiot." He said as his words came out more of a stuttering whisper. "If the shoe fits." My father had been presumed dead for over two decades. Yet here he sat, looking at me with those golden eyes that mirrored my own."How did you find us?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. "If your memories are gone, how did you know you came here?"Kingston, or rather, my father, hesitated before answering. "I can't explain it. It's like... something deep inside me just knew this was where I belonged. Even without my memories, my heart remembered the way home."His words stirred something in me, a longing I hadn't let myself feel in years. But I couldn't let my guard down yet. CHAPTER 201 I'M HOME UNKNOWN P.O.V 9 YEARS LATER It took me years. But years were more like days when you've been alive as long as I have been. But I succeeded. I found the person I needed most. Or at least I hoped they were the key to what I needed. "Now, do you remember what we have trained for?" "I do. I don't understand it. But I remember." They replied. "It is not something to be understood as long as you know the plan." "I know the plan." "Good. Now go." I said with a smile. "One last question. Are you sure it will work?" They asked. "Trust in the system. Play the cards right and you will not fail." They looked unsure of my words, but I knew that they would do just fine. All they had to do was play their role right. It was simple really. I worked too hard to locate them for them to fail me now. ELIAS'S P.O.V I sat in my window, staring up at the moon. The enticing feeling of the moon daring me to dream bigger. To be better. To do better.

CHAPTER 200 THE TIME HAS COMETEDDY'S P.O.V 13 YEARS LATER Tomorrow Elias would officially turn 16. Which meant that he would be getting his wolf. Most Alpha heirs didn't get to take over their position until the age of 25. However, under certain circumstances, such as the current Alpha of said pack passing before the heir turns 25, then they are permitted to take over when they receive their wolves at the age of 16. I know being 16 was considered a child in most religions. But as werewolves, it's believed that if you have your wolf then you can run a pack. I'm sure Elias was absolutely terrified right about now. Tomorrow night, he will be crowned the King. But before that, he had to get through his ceremonial crowning under the Red Moon. Which was why I chose to swoop by and check in to see how he was holding up before calling it a night. I softly tapped on the big oak door of Elias's bedroom. "Come in, Ma!" I casually strolled in. He was seated at the desk reading his book.

CHAPTER 199 A YEAR WITHOUT YOUTEDDY'S P.O.V 1 YEAR LATER I sat in my big windowsill as the sun rose in the sky, looking down at my journal. A therapeutic method that was introduced to me by Kennedy, my therapist. I wrote to Fenirs everyday. What he missed. So really I just wrote about anything that happened. In a sense, it made me feel like he wasn't missing out. Dear Fenirs , Can you believe it has already been an entire year since you've been gone? Oh, how the times have changed. I promise that you would be proud of the Queen I have become in your absence. Every decision that I have made this far, was made with the question of 'what would Fenirs do'? Would he agree with my decision? I know I've told you once before but I wanted to do a run down of all that has happened since you've been gone. Uriah stepped down as the Beta, choosing to be the top warrior instead. I insisted that it wasn't necessary, but I suppose that after some time, the guilt was too much for him to handl

CHAPTER 198 TIME TO LET HIM GOTEDDY'S P.O.V I kept racking my brain, trying to figure out what he must've seen that intrigued him. I pray to the high heavens above that it wasn't my son. But what else would pique an interest in such an old soul who's seen it all? "Did anyone see Josiah give Zola his blood?" I asked as soon as he had left with Sibil once I was finally able to come visit them in the infirmary. "No. It was like one minute she was sick and the next she was awake, alert, and happy." Novalee replied as she cuddled Zola closer to her chest. "So, should we give her his blood to be safe then?" "Let's save it. If she takes a turn for the worse at least we will have this to save her." I shook my head in understanding before handing over the vial of blood to Novalee. "Thank you so much. You have no idea what this means to me." Tears were starting to free fall from her face with gratitude. But I didn't want to be praised. I was just happy that Zola was healthy again and

CHAPTER 197 OUR DEAL IS DONETEDDY'S P.O.V I laid out my conditions. Insisting that he gave her his blood beforehand. Swearing that I would uphold my end of the deal. "You do realize that I can collect her on my own without any help, right? I only offered out of courtesy. So, what makes you think you have a bargaining chip here?" My heart was pounding against my chest. Why did I ever think that this would be a good idea? "Look, Zola's condition got worse overnight. I don't think time is on our hands here. I'm not sure I can find Sibil fast enough to meet your condition." The last thing I wanted to do was sound vulnerable but shit, I was running out of time here. "Well it makes sense she got worse. Her cure came within close proximity of her. The curse sensed me." "You knew that would happen when you struck the deal?" I was horrified that he had not a single ounce of care in his heart. "Considering it was too late, why tell you?" I bit my lip, trying to remain calm. I couldn't

"I see you were making a deal with the devil without us." A voice I knew all too well said from behind me. I turned around to see Lucy standing there, definitely not in a robe as she was before. "He told me to come alone. You could have jeopardized our deal." "Um, you did come alone. I drove myself here." She responded sassily. "You know what I meant by coming alone." "You didn't say I couldn't bring myself." God damn her with her logical ways to wiggle around meanings. Looking for any possible loophole. "He looked like he wanted to break him off a piece of you, though." "Stop, my mate just died." She threw her hands up in surrender. "Look, I was only stating the obvious." Surely he wouldn't show up just to leave without saying a word to me, right? I kept looking for him as the guests all started to leave. Another round of 'I'm so sorry for your loss.' given out. I had every intention of leaving early to avoid that. But how was I to leave knowing that Josiah was there? After everyone had left, there was still a man seated inside, the last person in the room. But it wasn't him. "Sir, the memorial has ended. Is there something I can help you with?" I asked as I made my way over to him. He sat still, not moving a muscle in the slightest. "Sir?" I asked as I patted his shoulder. His eyes connected with mine, they had almost looked glossed over. "Sir, are you okay? Do I need to call for help?" "Meet me at the underground club, ALONE. CHAPTER 194 FAREWELLTEDDY'S P.O.V I decided to leave Iblis locked in the spellbound room until I met with Josiah. The last thing I wanted to do was lose the only person that we knew who could contact him. Which Josiah just so happened to be the only man alive that could heal Zola. Luckily, Elias managed to replenish Lucy and I's energy and powers before we trapped Iblis. Not in front of anyone of course. I felt guilty for even asking this of him, but by doing so, it has allowed us to put up a stronger barrier in the room. I keep telling myself that at least it was for the greater good. And in this case it really is, but that doesn't justify relying on a two year old to save the Kingdom and Zola. Plus, it was as if I was asking the man my son was destined to fight to the death to come ahead and meet him. I had no intention of allowing them to cross paths but as one might say, his destiny was already set. I just have to hope that fate doesn't allow them to meet so soon. I know mayb
