CHAPTER 129 WHERE IS MY MATE?

Teddy never disconnected the call. All I heard when the line connected was 'How may I help you?' from a feminine voice before the line went static and then muffled. But not once did it disconnect. Did she accidentally call? Or did she want me listening in? I wasn't sure and I wasn't going to take a chance, so I decided to mute myself and remain on the phone to listen.

I was at home working in the office while Elias was happily playing on the floor in his play-mat entertaining himself with his toys. I put the phone on speaker and continued to work while trying to listen in on what was being said. I couldn't hear much because of how muffled the background sounds were.
