Chapter 2

Edwards pov 

    I Retired back to my chambers after a long trip ,I was tried and stressed out at the same time ,Just then Samuel came with a message .

  " Long live his majesty "

  " What the problem Samuel "

  " Your soon to be wife is here to see you "

  " Samuel am tired and I need to rest tell her to go and come back a day after tomorrow "

  " I already told her that My Lord but she insist on seeing you infact she has been causing unnecessary chaos  outside your chambers "

   At that point I was really sick and tired of that lady but how did I get myself into this mess at first .

  " Okay Samuel send her in "

  " As you wish your majesty "

   When Samuel left the room ,I decided to pour my self a glass of wine to cool my head a little, Just then the door was burst opened .

  " Edward why are you stopping me from seeing you ,I have been waiting outside your chambers for an hour now and does stupid guards did not let me come in ,I want them fired immediately "

  " Why are you here ? I never asked you to come so what are you doing here "

  she dumbfounded by my statement .

 " What ! why do you always doing this to Edward am your wife"

  " Point of correction soon to be wife and don't think too highly of your self ,Trust me you wouldn't like the outcome "

  " When are you going to treat me with love and respect Edward "

  " It will be more appropriate if you address me well Benita in as much as you are my fiancee that doesn't give you the right to talk to me anyhow ,I hope you get that "

  " Why do you always act strange you never give me an opportunity to come close to you infact you always push me away why "

  " You want to know the truth "

  " Yes Tell me Edward...I mean My lord "

  " I Don't love you Benita so please stop trying am only agreeing to this union because of my mother nothing more and nothing less ,but never the less I will give you the status of a queen the whole city of Atlantis will bow at your feet ,I will give you the crown and everything you have ever dreamt of but one thing you should never ask me for is my heart ,I can never love you so don't try your luck "

  " What ! What are saying to me Edward ,I have always loved you since when I was a child ,I have dreamt of being your wife and also the mother of your children so why are you saying this to me "

  " I Really don't think you understand what I just said ,Am not saying you wouldn't be my wife am only saying you can't be the mother of my children ,you will be my queen ,you will sit next to me on my throne but you can never I repeat you can never be the mother of my children "

  I took a sip from the glass of wine in my hand .

  " What is the of need being your wife when I can't have your children "

  " Don't act as if you don't want the status of a queen when you have already started carrying yourself as one " 

  " Meaning !!"

  " Listen to me Benita ,I know you have always wanted the crown on your head that I will give you but don't cross my path for any reason "

  " You are so cruel , Just think about it if your sister was treated the same way how will you feel "

 " I think that was why I wasn't given a sister After all if you are good with my offer then we can start thinking about getting married "

   She walked up to me in a seductive manner trying to get my attention ,she tried to touch me but I was fast enough to hold her hand before it got to my chest .

  " Are you tired of sleeping around "

  " What Edward why are you so mannerless ,At least talk to me with some respect "

  " Why should I do that ,you know while I was away I heard how you had sex with different men all because you couldn't hold back your sexual desires "

  " Does people are liars , You know I can never cheat on you "

  " I Don't think my most trust man will lie to me about things like that would he ?"

  " I ...I .. Really don't know what you are talking about Edward but I can never cheat on you believe me "

  " Please If you will excuse me I need to have a bath I have an important meeting to attend tomorrow morning,and I really don't want to be late "

  " I hate you Edward ,how long will you continue treating me like a piece of trash "

  " I thought we just had this conversation so why are you repeating it again "

   Without waiting any more time she stomped out of my chambers ,I pour the glass of wine in my mouth and was about to go take a shower when the door was burst opened again .

  " Edward !!! how dare you talk to Benita in such manner are you crazy "

  " In as much as I know you talk crazy , Am also aware that you lack manners too mother ,Why walk into my room in such manner what if I was in a middle of something important ,you would have just interrupted it just like that "

  " You haven't answered my question yet son why would you talk to your future queen in such manner "

  " Please mother , She is not even my queen yet , Anything can happen at anytime so why stress your head about little things mother "

  " Really so can you please explain to me why you ordered the execution of your uncle "

  " When a man plot against his king what is that called mother "

  " Even if he tried to kill you at least you should have put him the dungeon not killing him ,You even ordered the execution of his children "

  " That's the best thing to do mother ,I don't want any surprises in the next thirty years "

  " You are so cruel son "

  " I know ,and that will be the fate of those who are rebelling against me "

  

  I knew she had more to say be I really need to rest my head right now .

  " Please mother after a long trip am so tired and need to rest so we  can talk tomorrow "

   She couldn't say a word she walked out of my room ,but deep down in my heart I know the truth ,That will be reviewed very soon.
