ENCOUNTER WITH MAYOR LYCAN

“I will do that right away, sir, I am yet to contact a member of the deceased family, I will let you know if I did” she responded.

The morgue attendant nodded, and watched her leave, he shook his head in pity.

“Poor lady”

Coming out of the morgue, she flagged a taxi that she entered, and the driver drove to the address she offered.

Her phone started ringing, she stared at the screen.

“Mama, are you home?” she asked.

A voice came from the phone's speaker, “of course, I am home, where are you, Mora? I have searched for you in the entire area, but you are not there!”

Mora exhaled, she pondered on telling her where she is “Mama, I went to the hospital, I will be back soon” she promised.

The Old woman ended the call, Mora dropped her off at a police station, paid the driver and entered the station.

She filed a case, and two officers went with her to investigate the crime scene, and also visit the morgue.

At the Agora's family mansion, Madam Vanessa came out of her luxurious car.

Complaining “those farmers are always out to challenge me, I will put them in their place one day, the company is making considerable profits' bu-”

She stopped talking when Agora's family butler came to her “Madam Vanessa, we have a visitor, Pretty is here to see you” he announced.

Madam Vanessa's eyes lit up, she knew Pretty is the perfect matchmaking that will send the glory of Agora's family to the capital.

“Where is she?”

“She is in the sitting room, I have assigned so many servants to take care of her demands” he responded.

Madam Vanessa nodded in approval and walked in the direction of where her guest is.

Pretty one of an important officer's daughter from the capital, stood when she saw Madam Vanessa.

“Pretty, you have grown to be a pretty lady, I apologize for keeping you waiting” Madam Vanessa told her, and she smiled brilliantly.

“Ma, I have not waited for long, you don't have to be too polite” she responded, smilingly.

“Of course, I have to, you are soon to be my daughter-in-law, where is Lycan?” Madam Vanessa turned to Bass, the butler of the Agora's family.

“He isn't yet back”

Before Lycan could leave the hospital, his supporters gathered before him, cheering him.

“Long live Mayor Lycan”

“I will vote for Mayor Lycan”

They cheered him on, and Lycan smiled warmly at them.

“ I have taken most of your complaints, my office is open for you, and the complaint desk is there for you,”

“Just tell me what you want, and it will be done, this applies to everyone in district Z” he announced.

“Thank you, Mayor Lycan, you have done so much for us, I wish we can make you a lifelong mayor of our district, you ended most of the sufferings from capitalists who want to ruin us," a man in the crowd said.

Everyone was beaming with smiles and faces of admiration toward the young mayor.

When Mayor Lycan returned home from his Monthly inspection of the district, it was already noon, he went inside and met with his mother.

Only to see a lady, who he recognized as his soon-to-be wife “here he is” Madam Vanessa announced, and stood from the chair smiling brilliantly.

“I will be back Mom, let me change up, and quickly come down,” he said, turning towards the staircase.

“There isn't a problem, you can follow him to his room, he is your soon-to-be husband anyway” Madam Vanessa held Pretty's arm and pulled her up, she lowered her head and followed Lycan.

Pretty sit on his bed, and watched him remove his clothing, his mesmerizing athletic body took her breath away, he stripped to his underwear, pulled his towel from the racket, and tied it around his waist.

“I will have my shower right away,” he said, Pretty nodded numbly.

Minutes later, Lycan returned to the room with his body moist, looking more handsome and radiate, Pretty couldn't take her eyes off him.

She stood and walked toward him, grabbing his arm, which wanted to scoop the cream and apply it to his body.

“Let me do it for you” she volunteered, without approval from him, she started applying the cream to his body.

“Have you started campaigning for the upcoming elections?” she asked, Mayor Lycan, shook his head.

“It isn't yet time, but the opposition is already campaigning, I don't know why, national parties undermine the law” he lamented with a bitter smile.

“It is politics, everyone wants to win, you just have to play to the tune” she commented.

“Isn't necessary, I will have to uphold rule of law, my people look up to me, if I fail to do what the law says, then, I will have no right to exercise it” Mayor Lycan retorted, his reasoning impressed Pretty.

Mora arrived at Agora's residence at dusk, she stood at the gate nervously, before meeting the security guard, she was let in, after due checks.

She sighted Arnold, the second son of Madam Vanessa “Sir, I want to speak with Philip” she requested, Arnold turned around and gawked at the lady who requested for the audience.

He was mesmerized by her beauty, “Woah!” he exclaimed.

He regained his senses and acted like a gentleman, Mora has become petrified by his reaction.

“I am Arnold, the brother to the mayor of this district, it is a pleasure to meet the famous beauty of district Z,” he said smilingly.

He stretched forth his hand for a handshake, and Mora reluctantly took it, the handshake lingered, and Mora broke it immediately.

“Cough, cough!”

The two of them turned abruptly at the figure who disrupted their moment, Mayor Lycan was briefed that a lady was here to see his missing driver, he arrived to see his brother making a lustful move.

“Arnold, you can leave” he ordered and turned to the lady.

Arnold reluctantly left, Mora lowered her head, her heart pounding rapidly, she was surprised, that she is nervous before the Mayor.

Mayor Lycan squinted his eyes at her, “You are the lady at the hospital?” he assumed.
