A particular sweet scent filled my nose as I opened my eyes. For an instant, the image of Suzy and her smiling filled my mind.
I blinked hard and cleared my mind. I rose from the ground, taken in Xax beside me. He was still sleeping.
Jasamina must be in the kitchen. I was about to make my way to the room that has become mine when the sudden whimper of a child caught my attention.
I headed straight for Jasamina's room and entered the same time the little boy was opening his eyes.
