With Kerry in charge, we have peace and quiet until 6 o'clock and can prepare everything for the BBQ.

She yells, "Come on, you fuckers, back here at 6 pm, give us some time to get things ready," She flaps her palms to get everyone off our terrace. As the throng disperses, it's just us, Rory, and our barn. As Kerry pulls me aside, Kiran removes Lucas's dirty travel clothes for him to change into. She cautions, "Sort him out, Darcy; he's behaving strangely."

To this, I give a little nod and take a long breath. Sure, I'll have to give him a call. Help me avoid detection as I eliminate him.

Kerry agrees, and she and Rory go inside the barn.

He smiles mischievously and attempts to approach me, but I stop him with, "Rory." You can't maintain such an appearance here.

I'm worried he's a stalker trying to destroy my life since he keeps biting the inside of his cheek. I take my first steps in the direction of his residence. Come on, I tell him, we can't have this conversation in the barn. The s

At 6:30, everyone but Rory showed up. While Kiran prepares the barbecue, I'm keeping Lucas occupied with some bubbles. As I blow bubbles for my giggling kid on the graveled path, Ben and Jonh come to join me. Ben announces, "Hey, we collected that sofa for you."Laughter fills my heart; they are wonderful companions I can always count on. "What would I do without you two? Thanks!" ”Ben responds, "Kiran is concerned that you may revert to your former habits."I gave up, what was he saying, and quit blowing bubbles. That's meant to signify what?" " I inquire.John's head is hung low. He begins, "Well," implying that something is wrong. He is afraid that you may revert to your old ways now that you have had a taste of the nightlife since "back in the day" you were a fairly hard party girl. It's a bit more forceful, "Bull shit," on my part. "He's afraid I'll figure out how fucking bored I am with my existence with him," she said.Do you have boredom?Asked Ben.In all candor, the answer

Let me tell you about Gert, my favorite pretty young thing," he adds. He guides Lucas's little hands as he rubs the brown horse in the next stall and smiles softly at him. Then his gaze turns to mine."Stella down there is really cranky at the minute; she's expecting her foal anytime - A classic temperamental woman," he said with a smirk, and I chuckled sarcastically.I reach out my hand and pet the horse alongside Lucas, nudging Rory with my shoulder. So, you have to stay up all night to monitor the laboring woman? ”He smiles and pushes my shoulder back, saying, "All ni

I walked up to the door and paused. A female companion or his horse? To the extent that you love and care for your animals, it is incredible. No, there was certainly a woman's voice, so he must be with someone. For better hearing, I creep around to the stable's open door. I feel like a fifteen-year-old stalker and despise myself for getting involved with this crap.I don't think I'm suited for a life in agriculture. Saika said, "I just couldn't sleep, and I stumbled upon Rory in the stables," when I asked her what had occurred. She stayed with him until the horse began to labor at 2 a.m. She returned to her hut. She continued gushing by telling him how much she admired and believed he felt the same way about her."So you two have no romantic encounters?" To gain further insight, I inquired. After shaking her head, she cracked a grin. No, but he is a gentleman.More than I should have, I roared with laughter. You're supposed to be a gentleman, but you're not. Is there any news on the good-looking Indian guy your folks are rooting for? They probably wouldn't be thrilled if you showed up with a dirty farmer. She shrugs off my remark and looks out the window with a grin. It's fucked up that I have to lie to her and Kiran. We spent a pleasant couple of hours visiting the farm stand in town. Kiran, Ben, and John were all there when we got back. My head trembled in shock; she was incredible. "I had no idea we were meeting for tea." After addressing her directly, I said."Well, we need to eat properly; I could whip up something."I can't refuse your food if you offer it, so thanks. My cheeks are rosy, and my body is calm after a two-hour sex marathon. I'm still undressed and lying on his bed, wishing I could remain here forever. I dare not watch as Rory attempts to pin down the man. I shuffle up the stairs toward the knife, which is shining there. Upon hearing the approaching police sirens, I look up to see Rory on top of the man, pounding him. Blood is splattered everywhere, and it's unclear whether it's Rory's or the other man's.I haven't even had time to take in my surroundings before a police officer starts shouting at me. Can I check on you? Do you have any wounds? It's just fine, I keep repeating to myself. Upon being helped to my feet, I discovered my leg was bleeding; I must have caught it on something during my fall. The man is handcuffed, and a cop has his knee in Rory's back as they lie on the ground. "Rory! Is he alright? When the police arrive, I yell at them. I next turn my attention to the vehicle in which Lucas is riding. I hoped he hadn't seen anything when it took me to place him in the car till the police arrived (which felt like an eternity). He's sleeping when I arrive at the car, so I

Kiran appears to have calmed down after hearing the divorce news; I've initiated the process, and he seems content with it; nevertheless, we must wait two years after the divorce is finalized before we can formally apply for anything; at least he is aware of this delay. Three weeks from now is Christmas, and if he wants to participate in all the festivities Lucas will be hosting, he will need to be near Rory. I want him to hang out with Rory to show Kiran what a decent person Rory is; Rory is a good person; he doesn't want any harm to come to Kiran, and that's why I like him so much. The old house is still not far enough along for Rory to be staying there, so he's been spending most nights at mine instead while it's chilly outside. The doorbell's ringing jolts me from my restful slumber. Getting awakened is the worst, especially if you're in the middle of a fantastic dream. I'm shocked to see Kiran standing there as I open the door. When he stands with his fists on his hips and his nostrils flared, it's clear he's not happy. He seemed to have gotten out of bed and come here straight away. You don't look nice!" As we enter the house, I invite him in. As in, "What do you want this early?""You've got my undivided attention because I need to know your rationale for entrusting my youngster to your lover.I turn around to face him, and while he looks me over, I zip up my robe. Please excuse me, I had to go for a while, but Rory was here, so it wasn't a problem.Kiran exclaims, "You bet it is a fucking issue."Really? I have to shake my head to believe it. • THE GREAT ARRANGEMENT   CHAPTER EIGHTY TWO

After nine months of worry and stress, Rory has finally been able to sell the property. He finally takes possession of his new home today. He chose a shabby old house that would take him a decade to restore to living conditions.'Come on, Darcy, hurry up. I can't wait to see it,' he calls up the stairs. I have never seen him so impatient as now, so I'd better be ready. I find it hard to share his enthusiasm for his idea; to me, it seems like a complete and utter failure.About five minutes later, he leaves the main road and drives onto the property. It's just as horrible as I feared, yet he seems to notice something I'm missing. Stopping in front of a yellow stone structure, he exclaims, "Wow, look at this." The building, as it turns out, has some quite remarkable original sash windows. "It's airtight, wired for electricity, and plumbed into a nearby stream for water, but it's missing the gas hookup."Do you feel up to the task at hand?I guess it's too late if I'm not," he says with

"I think he likes it," I say. After tucking him down (with his new tractor), Rory and I settle for a movie night together.
