Ch-19
Abigail went to Rebecca and stood beside her as she took breathes in small puffs.
“What happened?” Rebecca asked worriedly.
Seeing Abigail running her Dr. Bill Carson followed her but stopped at four feet distance to hear their conversation. And he knew she would say nothing to him.
“That fucker tried to touch. He laid his hand on my shoulder and rubbed with his thumb. I felt…. So disgusting!” Abigail said as she tried to control her anger.
“He did that?” Rebecca couldn’t believe her ears that the Chairman would lay his hands on her when there were so many people around.
Ch-20 “The first presenter, Ms. Abigail Grace, Right?” Samantha said as she looked at the Chairman. “No, No, CEO Samantha Kim, last-minute changes, it’s Miss Ellie Tylor.” The Chairman said. “Fine, let her go ahead,” Samantha said. Abigail said nothing she returned to her seat and sat down calmly. The crowd watched her with pity. Dr. Bill Carson wanted to say something but shut his mouth as he very well knew that Abigail prepared herself for this situation. Simona the Real Ellie’s friend tried to hide her smirk. ‘Ellie’ smiled seductively at the chairman, while she smirked at Abigail. Also, she gave a polite smile to Samantha. Soon, ‘Ellie’ started her presentation. She confidently started
Ch-21 “Ask now. You are wasting Ms. Samantha Kim’s time,” ‘Ellie’ asked as she looked confidently at Rebecca. “What is meant by Rebecca in your every slide?” Rebecca asked. “There is nothing like that in the presentation,” ‘Ellie’ still didn’t accept the thing about Rebecca in that slide. After all, she didn’t see it with her eyes. “Then what is it?” Rebecca pointed to the corner of the slide. There was a letter R at the corner of the slide. Around the R the name Rebecca was written in very small words which couldn’t be seen with a naked eye. As if knowing what Rebecca meant, Abigail went ahead and zoomed that part. Indeed,
Ch-22Three days later….The laboratory exploded with hot news. No one knew what happened in the last three days. Many things happened. According to the rules, The real Ellie would take her place in Vasily Vasil'evich Dokuchaev Research center. And the chairperson was still not released due to the strong evidence. As for Maria alias Ellie would be produced in court in two days.Everyone pitied Rebecca and Abigail for getting involved with such a kind of woman. Samantha was the happiest person on the whole. She was jumping up and down for Maria’s demise. She even actively helped the police in finding evidence even though she wasn’t related.—---------
Ch-23“Pass that crab dish to me,” Samantha said.Ellie swirled the table so that the crab dish stops in front of her.“Ummm… Crab is best!” Samantha moaned as she ate.“By the way, Rebecca… something is going on in the office. Saying that you have a daughter. Is that true?” Ellie asked all of a sudden.Rebecca choked on her food when she heard her words. That’s true. But never thought this would be leaked out like this.“Where did you hear that?” she asked.
Ch-24 “Never thought Rebecca would have so many grievances,” Samantha commented. “Everyone has skeletons in their closets. We shouldn’t see them until they allow us to. Now… we have to know who spread those things about Rebecca and control them. It is high time to know. It is no coincidence that a rumor broke during the signing process. It might be the work of someone from the company or the Research Center,” Abigail said. “Abi, why are you so smart!? I wish to perform surgery and steal your brain!” Ellie said dramatically. “Hey! That’s my plan!” Simona chimed. “I met her first! I need her brain first!” Samantha said.
"Do you know? Ellie was sentenced with a death sentence," Rebecca said as she stuffed her mouth biting a donut. "How do you know?" Samantha asked curiously. "I and Ellie have our birds," Rebecca announced proudly. "From what I know she should be given with life sentence in jail. Why the sudden twist?" Simona asked. "I don't know. From the police investigation, they got to know that Maria killed four more people. So... the sentence is harsh," Rebecca said. "But didn't her lawyer provide the certificates of her not being in the right state?" Abigail said. "Somehow the police found they were fake. So... she was sentenced," Ellie answered. "Someone helped the police to prove the police that those certificates were fake. So that is how they got to know. And the person might be from one of the fami
Ch-26“Austin?” Abigail called out.He gave a perfect smile that made her heart skip a beat. She lowered her head to calm herself. But her eyes fell on the cap which was on the bench. It’s the same cap she saw the man wearing who stole her purse. So…. it’s his plan!“You stole my person wantedly!” it’s not a question but a statement.“You are observing,” he said with a smile.Abigail lowered her head. For some reason, this man made her feel different emotions. She ignored those feelings.“Thank you,&rdq
Ch-27Abigail was stilled at his reply. A part of her was happy. But it vanished.‘Or perhaps do you want him to not want you?’ her mini-self asked.Abigail has no answer for it. She sat in silence for a while. She was overwhelmed at today’s events. To be honest, she never hated Austin. She just stopped loving him to stop hurting herself. But now… he appeared out of nowhere. What shall she do?She has no reply for it.Feeling confused she walked back to her apartment. Maybe a night of sleep would give her answers. She brought some food for dinn
