“I want you to die,” she whispered.

“And I want you to be my death,” he smirked.

She released a sharp breath before trailing her eyes on his lips.

“Bye, Mr. Decker Costello. I wish you death.”

The guards opened the door, and there she left him alone in his room.

“I need your help.” She called someone.

“I am about to kill him,” Adele smirked.

“And you need to be ready to help me.” She hung up the call and straightly went to Sam’s office.

“Adele, what are you doing here?”

Sam was surprised to see Adele’s behavior; she never called him dad. “Sure, you are going to be my daughter-in-law.”

He smiled and patted her back, pulling the chair for her.

“So, being my dad, can I ask you something?”

He settled across the charcoal table, fidgeting with his fingers in front of his mouth, scanning Adele’s face.

Sitting in front of the doctor, Adele couldn’t forget the last word said by Decker. The doctor blotched the light on her cornea. Check left and right. Her pupils soaked the rays, but her breath didn’t hitch. “Breath in.” “Breathe out.” The doctor tried to wipe the blood drops from her face to check if it hurt anywhere around her. “No, don’t wipe the blood,” she reacted insanely. “Is she fine?” Elijah walked with a limping leg, “She is… she is in shock....,” the doctor replied, checking Adele’s blood pressure. “Adele,” Elijah called her name. Her subconscious mind reacted to her name as she shot her peer towards Elijah. “Are you ok?” He hugged her numb body immediately. “Are you hurt?” “I... I want to go home...” she whispered. Elijah read her urgency, “Ok, I will drive you,” He settled in front of the wheels and informed his senior about Adele’s condition. After some time, as the glimpses of Decker’s soul leaving his body crossed Adele’s mind, a lone tear fell from her pale f

We can see her apartment lights went off and on sometimes,” one of them answered.“Monitor her. She is smart, and I am sure she will do something.” Sam instructed.“Yes, sir.”“What else did you find from the hospital?”“Nothing special. The doctor said she had some hormonal problems; she was hallucinating.”“Fine, dig deep. I have a doubt she is up to something.”Sam hung up the phone. Sighed, fidgeting with his fingers, he was thinking about something.“Dad, how can you... what makes you think she would help Decker?”“Just shut your fucking mouth, Elijah.”“I felt Decker is alive, and your fiance was trying to protect him.” Sam snarled.Elijah jerked his body away from the chair, rested his elbows on the charcoal-colored table, and furrowed his brows.“She shot him in front of me.”“Now that’s where you are wrong, boy. Your bitch is smarter than you.

Margarita looked out at the moon, standing next to the fountain. The breeze played with her long curls, emphasizing the coldness. She was not expecting her dad to reveal the situation like this. She heard the footsteps approaching in her direction, and she was not willing to talk to anyone right now. She rushed towards the garden, thinking she could hide. “Margarita,” a voice brushed in her ears, and the goosebumps started to crawl out from her skin. She didn’t turn because she knew she would look weak and vulnerable in front of Samson. Margarita’s fingers tightened around the edge of her dress, her knuckles turning white. She could sense Samson’s presence behind her, the weight of his gaze, the unspoken words that hung in the air between them. But she remained committed, determined to protect herself from the pain that had once shattered her world. “I know... Adele looked at Elijah with concern, her heart aching for the man she once loved deeply.“You look beautiful,” Elijah stammered.Adele smiled thinly and shook her head, withering away the worries about what was happening outside.“Is this because of the bullet in your spine?” Adele asked gently, her voice barely above a whisper.Elijah nodded slowly, his lips twisted in pain as he struggled to speak. “Yes,” he uttered. “I got punished for what I did.”Tears welled up in Adele’s eyes as she reached out and cupped Elijah’s hand in her own. “No, Elijah,” she said, her voice filled with emotion. “You didn’t deserve this.
