“Master, here is the lemon water.” Magot extended the glass.

Samson drank the liquid in one go. “Where is Antonio?”

“He went to the pub.”

Samson handed the glass and sprinted towards the shower to get rid of his dizzy head. As the cold water slid through his hair over his skin, the thoughts returned about the only woman he took a risk to stay back in Italy. A smile sprinkled on his face, thinking about how different she looked with blond hair and how idiot he was; he couldn’t recognize her. But the same smile thinned when he thought about how he had treated her in the last seven days. He lied, played games with her, hurt her, and said shameful words. He came out and prepared himself in a black polo t-shirt and black pants.

Keeping all those thoughts, he drove towards the pub and looked for Antonio.

“Boss,” The bouncer opened the door for Samson.

“Antonio,”

“Inside,” he mentioned.

Samson headed inside and saw Antonio talking to the manager.

Margarita fluttered her heavy lashes when the cloudy morning implied its presence with the whimper breeze. She closed her eyes again to regain the system as she was holding herself in hibernating. The habit of getting up and preparing to reach the destination was no more of a hassle. She sat up and rested against the bed frame and wondered how she landed in a position where she was sleeping on the ground. But then she remembered she had puked last night with excessive liquor and stress. She pulled her hair back and looked up at the white ceiling just like a new cloudy morning; her life was blank, and it was her choice to fill the colors of sorrow or happiness. She stayed neutral and immune to any emotion. She headed towards the bathroom to get her senses active in top gear and finished her morning business. Once done, she came out in her bathrobe and headed toward her closet, pulling out comfortable PJs and a t-shirt, but looking at the weather, she snuggled into a black hoodie she to

Samson came back for the entire night he was awake, thinking about her. When the morning arrived, he was still looking blankly towards the plain, contemplating the thoughts of approaching Margarita. He scanned the time and saw Antonio come back from the pub.“I am going to sleep.” He waved his hand.Samson thought Margarita would come, but he was wrong. “What are you waiting for?”“Nothing.” Samson half smiled.“She will not come. You have given her seven days, and it was over yesterday.” Antonio walked inside and slept.Samson drove towards her clinic and waited outside as he was hesitant to go inside and face her. What if she denies meeting him? What if she doesn’t listen to him?Waited for an hour, and he finally walked to the clinic.“Hello,”“How can I help you, sir?”“I am here to meet Doctor Margarita,”Kayla gave him a blank look. “She doesn’t work here.”“What do you mean?”“She quit her job yesterday.” Samson bit his tongue.Did he hurt her much before she quit her job?“Is

The silent strokes of gushing air against her skin gave her a glimmer of a memory lane. How much she loved to enjoy the rain with her family. And when it thunders, she snuggles in her daddy’s arm. A lamentable smile summoned on her lips, but the eyes never lied the ache she felt.“Do you think rain makes everyone sad?”Samson looked out. He had never had any passionate connection like her. Or maybe he was so busy never conceded these droplets of water could carry thousands of memories.“Why would you say that?”“Not sure, but it looks gloomy. These clouds, storm thunder,” she explained.“It is about perception. Miss. Costello,”Observing her name from his mouth brought her focus to him. She never thought he would call her by her last name. Her silent eyes didn’t know what more to expect from the person sitting next to her sharing the same couch. He was the one who gave her the hope of redemption, and he was the same one who took it away just like this storm; Her inside was cringing in

That was not the first time she had coffee by the window, looking out at the greenery her society authority had planted. But today was something different. She could feel the warm gaze of Samson resting on her face, scanning the skin he had never done before.“Have you thought about it?” She was still under the influence of medication and didn’t want to start the conversation. For a long time, her mornings were mainly silent and mostly filled with the churning leftover thoughts from the last nights. With a minimum of no words, she wanted to feel this morning with another being with her.“About?” She didn’t even bother to look at him. Maybe she didn’t want to get addicted to him to stay and spend time like this where he tried to talk, and she listened to him.“About our sessions.” But the reality was not as beautiful and silent as the relaxing morning. She finally shifted her gaze and locked with his to answer the unanswered questions of their surplus conversation from the last night.

Margarita prepared herself in a black dress and changed her uncomplicated makeup into smokey eyes, emphasizing her mercury orbs.“You have the same eyes as mum,” Mateo pinched the bridge of her nose. He turned and cupped her shoulder.“Margi, it’s okay to admit your brother is the most handsome man,”“It’s okay to tell him you are the best brother and the most handsome man.” He teased. She rolled her eyes, “Touche,”She chuckled and pulled his arm into her. “You know how self-obsessed you look when you talk like this. After facing persistent denials from Margarita, Samson headed out to his pub. He was figuring out about fixing things between Margarita and him for the entire ride. What went wrong that made her so mad at him? But little did he realize it was he who knew her and recognized her face, but that night she was drunk enough not to remember his features at all. It was a faded memory he remembers, and how could he expect her to know the details? She would not trust him when all she saw was a chaotic person, a monster in him. Should he give up? “Hello, doc,”Margarita turned to look at the source standing behind her in the dim lights. She rumpled her eyes to get a clear view of the silhouette calling her name, as he knew her well. Could it be Mateo? But he never called her doctor. She stood there waiting for him to reveal his face.“Hello doc, how are you?” He extended his hand like a perfect gentleman.“Antonio,” Margarita’s lips twirled up naturally, seeing a familiar face.“What a pleasant surprise? Margarita looked out at the moon, standing next to the fountain. The breeze played with her long curls, emphasizing the coldness. She was not expecting her dad to reveal the situation like this. She heard the footsteps approaching in her direction, and she was not willing to talk to anyone right now. She rushed towards the garden, thinking she could hide. “Margarita,” a voice brushed in her ears, and the goosebumps started to crawl out from her skin. She didn’t turn because she knew she would look weak and vulnerable in front of Samson. Margarita’s fingers tightened around the edge of her dress, her knuckles turning white. She could sense Samson’s presence behind her, the weight of his gaze, the unspoken words that hung in the air between them. But she remained committed, determined to protect herself from the pain that had once shattered her world. “I know... I have never missed an opportunity to hurt you, but we both know how much...” Samson whispered close to her ear; she turned

Mateo stood by, observing the interaction between the two men.“Samson,” Decker’s voice was steady, his tone devoid of any warmth.“How are you now?”“I am... better,” Decker gestured toward a chair, indicating for Samson to sit. As they settled around a table, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation.“Mateo, could you please call everyone? He was left paralyzed, and I couldn’t bear to see my son suffer like that.”“The pain of watching our son consumed my wife, and she chose to die by taking her life. I lost everything that day, and the pain consumed me because of you.” Master’s eyes didn’t flicker from Decker’s face.“I wanted revenge, and I wanted Decker to suffer as I had suffered.
