LOGINIt all began when the devil was first sent out of the heavens. He had wandered on earth in loneliness until he found a human woman who loved and accepted him the way he was. She was bonded to him, and she hoped that he'd turn away from his evil ways, but it wasn't easy to get the devil to turn a new leaf. He went on with his deceitful behavior, and the woman left him when she couldn't take it anymore. She eloped with a human male, but she discovered that she was pregnant with the devil's son. She tried everything to terminate the pregnancy, but it didn't work out well for her, and when she finally had the baby, she threw him into the forest, hoping he'd die there. But, the devil found his son, and raised him to be a proper demon.
Life as a half-demon and half-human wasn't an easy one for Lucas. The other demons always made jest of him, reminding him everyday that his human mother rejected him, and that he had no place in hell. This caused Lucas to be mad with rage, and he hated humanity. As a result of this hatred for mankind, Lucas went on a killing spree, crushing everything that lay in his wake. He destroyed dozens of villages, and even killed those of his kind. This continued until the demons and other supernatural beings feared him so much that even the whispers of his name rained terror on them. Rumour had it that Lucas had burned his mother alive alongside her human husband, and this stirred up a fight between him and his father, who hadn't still gotten over his feelings for his first love. Thus, Lucas was banished from hell, and sent away to live with the humans he despised. Even in the human world, he was still feared because of the dark aura around him. But what nobody knew was that Lucas had not killed his mother. Instead, he held her captive and chained her in an abyss. And because she couldn't grow old and die like other humans as a result of the devil's gem inside of her, she lived at the mercy of her ruthless son for a hundred years. Whenever Lucas was angry, or had meted out wickedness to those he could've pardoned, he'd come to see her, and torture her. He'd remind her that she made him evil. But for the past two months, Lucas hadn't visited his mother. Those were the times when he met Aria. The human who scolded her customers for trying to run away when he walked into the cake shop. She had spoken sweetly to him, and during their conversation, she told him that she wasn't scared of him, and that his demeanor didn't mean he was evil. She said they could be friends, and she wouldn't judge him based on what people thought of him. The devil's son was soon to soften as he found someone who believed that good could still come out of him. He interacted more with people, and his employees started to become comfortable around him. Lucas even considered releasing his mother, and taking her back to his father who had been without a woman since she left him. All of these was because he had Aria, the woman who brought the good out of him. Though they weren't an item, and they never hung out together, the calls and the texts were enough to change the heart of Lucas, but none of that mattered anyone as once again, his anger had made him lose someone he cherished. First, he had lost his father, now, he was about to lose Aria, and he blamed his mother for it. Anger washed over him, and he decided to pay his Frankenstein a visit. So when he ordered the demon driver to take him to the chambers, he meant to be taken to his mother's prison. As Lucas walked into the abyss, the prison gates that held his mother opened, and he walked in. The woman was startled to see him, and she began to sob. "Hello mother." Lucas greeted. He had a wicked smile on his face. "Lu...cas?" The woman stuttered. "You look surprised to see me. Were you hoping that I'd be dead, the same way you did years ago? Didn't you miss seeing me around here?" Lucas asked her, and walked slowly to where she sat, her hands chained to the walls on her back. A flicker of flames appeared on his fingertip, and Lucas touched her face with it. She screamed out in pain, and Lucas laughed. He liked the sizzling sounds her burning flesh made. "It's a shame that you haven't gotten used to this little game of ours. You still cry and yelp like a crybaby. I guess I must've cried this way too when you abandoned me in that forest to die." He raised his hand to her already bald hair, which occurred due to the several burns she had suffered on it. The flames licked her scalp, and she screamed again, begging Lucas to pardon her. "Lucas!!! Please!!!" She cried out. "You made me like this. I never asked for any of this; it was all your fault. You shouldn't have fallen in love with the devil, and when you had his child, you shouldn't have tossed him away to die. This is all your fault, and I have lost the two people I ever cherished because of the anger you stirred up in me. It's only fair that you get some of it too." Lucas yelled at her, and with that, his hand came alive with a full fire, and he set his mother on fire. Lucas had never done that before. All he did was torture her with the tiny flames that he put on her skin, but today he set her on fire. He knew she wouldn't die from it, but he wanted her to beg for her death, and he stood there watching her scream with undying pains. "That is what you get for creating a monster, Frankenstein. I am the monster you have created, and I'll hunt you till there's nothing but dust left for your remains." Lucas said to her and turned away. The city light shimmered like scattered stars as the car came to a smooth halt in front of the mansion's gate. The night had been different. For once since Selene's return, there had been no tension clinging to Lucas's shoulders, no shadows lurking around his gaze. The plan had been to distract Aria, and take her mind off the weird thoughts that were creeping all over her, but it had worked for Lucas too. Sitting there while watching Aria eat, he had realized that he infact needed the distraction more. Before Aria found him at the window, he was long gone. Dragged into the abyss of his past, where no warmth existed. The dinner had been elegant, quiet, almost unreal_soft music, warm lighting, and the kind of attention that made Aria feel like she was the only person in the world. The whole time, Lucas watched her. Like a man who had lost his soul, but only found it when she was with him. Like a man, undeserving of her pureness. Her love. Like a man who had decided for a momen
The night rested quietly over the mansion, draping the walls in a soft, silver hush. Beyond the tall glass windows, the garden stretched endlessly, bathed in moonlight. The trees stood still, their shadows long and watchful, while the faint rustle of leaves whispered secrets only the darkness understood. Lucas stood before the window, unmoving. One hand rested lightly against the cool glasses, his gaze fixed somewhere beyond the garden_far past the trimmed hedges, past the iron gates, past glass, but even that seemed distant, as though the man staring back at him belonged to another time. His expression was unreadable. But his eyes... his eyes carried something heavier. A storm that had long passed, but somehow never left. Fragments of memory drifted through his mind like echoes refusing to fade. A voice. A laugh. A word that had once crafted itself into him. A word that had changed his entire being. WEAK. His jaw tightened slightly. For a moment, the silence around him fe
The night hung heavy over the barren plains of the Lower Realm, where the faint glow of distant lava rivers cast long, jagged shadows across the cracked, blackened earth. The air smelled of sulfur and iron, and the distant wails of the tormented, echoed like whispers from the void.Lucas walked side by side with Selene, his boots leaving dark impressions on the scorched soil. "Why do you walk like you own nothing?" Selene asked, her voice cutting through the night. "Do you think the realm would learn to fear you if you keep walking like that?"Lucas lowered his head, jaw tight. He didn't reply."Keep your head up." Selene continued, circling him like a panther. "You still doubt yourself... you don't think you are strong enough_but Lucas, I've seen you. You have the power of a legion combined, and that power cannot be hidden any longer." She paused and held his shoulders, forcing him to meet her gaze. "We are here to rewrite your destiny. You must not hesitate. The moment you do that,
The massive gates of the throne room closed behind Lucas with a thunderous boom that echoed through the dark corridors of Hell. For a moment, he simply stood there. His chest burned where Lucifer's power had crushed the air from his lungs. The pain in his ribs throbbed with every breath he took, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the humiliation clawing at his mind.WEAKThe word echoed over and over again in his thoughts.Lucifer's voice had carried no anger when he said it. Only certainty. And regret, as though he had truly acknowledged Lucas to be his mistake.Lucas began walking. The corridors of the infernal palace stretched endlessly in every direction, carved from dark volcanic stone that seemed to drink in the red glow in the surrounding lava rivers. The throne room of Hell was vast enough to swallow enemies. It had been built to intimidate_with black stone pillars that rose like jagged teeth toward a ceiling lost in darkness. Their surfaces veined with faint crimson light that pulsed like a slow heartbeat. Rivers of molten fire crawled through channels carved into the floor, filling the chamber with a dull, suffocating heat. Despite the constant oppressing heat, the vast chamber still felt cold.At the far end of the hall sat the throne.Carved from jagged obsidian and bones of fallen creatures, it rose like a monument to cruelty. No mortal craftsman could have created something so terrible, but yet magnificent. And seated upon it was the great ruler of hell.Lucifer.He lounged lazily across the throne as though the infernal kingdom around him were nothing more than a personal amusement. In the absence of the goddess, Lucas' mansion forgot what heaviness felt like. The corridors that once dimmed and echoed with nothing but the quiet hum of restrained power, had softened. Sunlight filtered through curtains that had remained drawn for decades, warming marble floors that had only ever known shadows. The chandeliers no longer cast cold, ceremonial light, they glowed warmly in the evenings, like the house itself had learned how to breathe. There was no silence of abandonment. The usual suffocating stillness that used to follow Lucas after a bloodbath, was gone also.Everything felt different. The estate had always been magnificent_imposing, eternal. But for two weeks, it had been... alive. There had been laughter.Soft and fleeting, but real.Footsteps that didn't carry fear.Doors that closed gently instead of with force.Even the staffs, despite being demons, now moved differently too.Quieter. After the portal closed behind her with Selene and Lucas still inside the dead realm, Aria's heart pounded in fear of the things that had happened. She stared at her arm; the marks from Selene's spell still faintly visible on her arms. Her hands trembled uncontrollably. Lucas had almost died. Not
Days after Lucifer's visit, Aria stayed restless, day and night. She didn't feel right with the devil's advise, especially after witnessing the hatred Lucas showed towards him when he warned him to back off. But the devil's warning lingered in her mind, and it bothered her. She decided to seek Levi
