"Luca,” I whispered as the smack ecoed while my palm came in contact with his hand as he swiftly raised his hand to shield his face from my slap.

Luckily for him, he successfully shielded my hand with his, blocking the slap as my hand collided with his.

My eyes widened, my heart racing as my vision blurred with tears.

“Are you out of your mind?" He asked, his voice gentle and calm, but there was something about the calmness in his voice. Something that told me that the calmness wasn't just genuine.

It was too calm to be genuine, as calm as still waters. But it was obvious that this still waters was no joke. This still water was boiling hot and could cause a lot of damage.
