Arachne suddenly rose on her feet, with her hands weaving intricate patterns in the air. She chanted in an occultic language, and suddenly a soft, pulsing light enveloped Lyrien.
The light then grew brighter, and Lyrien's eyes was fluttered closed as he stumbled backwards, he released Aria from his grasp. He fell onto the floor, and fall asleep, it shows the magic had knocked him unconscious.
Aria collapsed to the ground, she was coughing violently, Erith hurriedly rushed to her side. "Aria, are you okay?" he asked, with concern etched on his innocence face.
Arachne's eyes never left Lyrien's on the floor. "He's a Moonwhisperer," she explained. "They calm the room, separating darkness and light. But they're also incredibly sensitive to darkness."
Erith's gaze turned to Aria. "And Aria's a Shadowbringer, made of darkness."
Arachne nodded. "The silver in the bullet that hit Lyrien reacted with his Moonwhisperer blood, causing this...aberration."
Aria's coughing then subsided, and she looked up at Erith, with her eyes so wide with fear. "What does that mean?"
Arachne's expression turned grim. "It means Lyrien's darkness has been unleashed, and it's going to take more than just magic to save him."
Arachne's eyes then suddenly turned. "We need to leave Beacon City, it's no longer safe for us. Erin's threat is too great, with Lyrien condition, we really can't risk another attack."
Aria's heart skipped a beat. "Where will we go?"
Arachne smiled. "I know a place, a sanctuary where your curse, Aria, can be controlled. The curse in your power can be tame and put in control, you won't be a danger to those around you, and Lyrien...Lyrien can be saved."
Aria's eyes widened, hope blooming in her chest. "Really? You can help me control my power?"
Arachne nodded. "Yes, and more. In this place, Lyrien's Moonwhisperer blood can be balanced, and the darkness that's taken hold of him can be purged."
Aria's heart soared. She envisioned a life without fear, without Erin's constant threats. A life where she and Lyrien could be together, free from the shadows that haunted them.
They left the house, Lyrien was put securely in the backseat, Aria sat beside him, her hand gently stroking his hair. Erith took the driver's seat, with Arachne navigating from the passenger side with him.
As they pulled out of the driveway, Aria's heart were racing with anticipation. They were finally leaving Beacon City behind, heading towards a new life, free from Erin's threats.
But as they hit the main road, their movement was halted. Soldiers in black uniforms could be seen stationed everywhere, which was causing a block to their path.
Arachne's eyes then narrowed. "Erin's men. They must have anticipated our move."
Erith's grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Don't worry, I know this city like the back of my hand. I can get us out of here."
Erith then made a swift turn, He navigated the car through a narrow alleyway, he was dodging soldiers left and right. Arachne then show her support by using her magic to create a smoke screen, which cause further obscuring their escape.
As they emerged from the alley, Aria caught a glimpse of the city's outskirts. They were almost clear.
But just as they thought they'd managed to evade the soldiers, a loud crash echoed through the air. Aria's heart skipped a beat as she saw a black SUV ram into the side of their car.
The impact sent their vehicle spinning, but Erith's quick reflexes kept them on course. Arachne's magic surged, protecting them from further harm.
"We need to get out of here, now!" Erith shouted, his eyes locked on the rearview mirror.
Arachne nodded, her hands weaving a new spell. "Hold on, I'll create a diversion.''
Erin stormed into his house, his face was twisted in heavy rage. He was looking so battered and bruised, his clothes were torn and filled with bloodstained.
"How could you tell me you can't locate Aria and Lyrien's whereabouts?" he sound like thunder at his men, his voice was deep echoing off the walls.
The soldiers cowered before him, they were begging for forgiveness. "We're sorry, sir. We'll do everything in our power to find them."
Erin's anger beomes more intensified. "Everything in your power? You have just 3 days to find them, you must bring them to me.''
He paced back and forth of the room, his mind were racing with fury. "I need Aria alive. She's crucia to me. I must have her."
One of the soldiers kneeling at his sight speaks up. "Sir, we'll work with other teams to find them. We'll leave no stone unturned."
Erin's gaze locked onto the soldier. "See that you do. I want Aria and Lyrien found, and I want them found now. Aria is of the utmost importance to me. I'll stop at nothing to have her."
His eyes were burning with anger, he's now obsess in find Aria and the obsession is driving him to madness.
"Fail me again, and you'll suffer the consequences," he snarled, his voice were dripping with malice.
The soldiers nodded, they were trembling, as Erin's fury continued to simmer more, he now has his mind fixed on just one goal, which is to capture Aria, no matter the cost.
As the soldiers left the room, a woman suddenly glided into the room, her presence were commanding attention. With her long, curly hair was as black as coal. it definitely show's that she was a witch.
"What are you doing here?" Erin growled. "You can't just waltz into my pack like this. What if someone sees you? It'll cause problems."
The woman's laughter only turn sarcastic . "Do you think you have time for that, Erin?" she taunted, her voice were dripping with intense malice. "Your body is rotting, and you're worried about other's opinion on my presence, why don't you worried about your cursed body?"
Erin's gaze fell to his stomach, where a festering wound had been eating away at his flesh. Maggots crawled through the rotten meat.
The witch's eyes gleamed with triumph. "You need the wolf scale of Aria, Erin. It's the only thing that can reform your body, purge the rot."Erin's mind then started racing, he remembered the gun that had shot Lyrien. "The bullet was mixed with wolvesbane and silver," he spat. "The only cure is here, with me. If Aria truly loves Lyrien, they'll return to me, begging for the cure."
A cruel smile spread across his face. "And with her father by my side, Aria will definitely come crawling back. I have the upper hand."
The witch's laughter echoed through the room once more. "Do you really believe so?..."
"Find Aria soon, Erin. Before the next full moon." The woman voice sounded like a warning.Erin's grip on the desk tightened. "What's the hurry?"The woman's voice dropped to again to him like a whisper. "Aria's no longer the tame wolf you knew inside the Seven Tower gates. Every second she's spending outside is makking her growing stronger, and the curse within her is stirring."Erin's eyes narrowed. "I know"The woman's stare at him with her gaze seemed to bore into his soul. "If another full moon rises, the curse in her wolf will grow louder and uncontrollable. By then, no witch or wolf will be able to face her. She'll be unstoppable."Erin's mind was reeled as the woman's words painted a terrifying picture. He had to find Aria before it was too late. The woman's eyes glinted with a fierce light. "You have two weeks, Erin. Find Aria, and bring her back to me. I'll help you get the scale off her, but you must act fast."Erin nodded, a plan already forming in his mind. He would stop
As soon as Arachne saw the woman, she rushed to embrace her. "Eluned!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with warmth. The two women hugged each other so tightly, like an old friends which just reunited after a very long time apart. Aria's curiosity was suddenly piqued as she couldn't take it in, she asked Arachne, "Is she the witch who will save Lyrien?"Arachne smiled and shook her head. "No, Aria. Eluned is not a witch or a wolf. She's a human, a skilled healer who will take care of Lyrien."Aria's eyes were welled up with tears as she knelt before Eluned, begging, "Please, you have to help me save Lyrien. I'll do anything, just please save him."Eluned's face was filled with compassion as she stroked Aria's hair. "Don't worry, child. I'll do everything in my power to save Lyrien. I promise."Aria's sobs became subsided, it was replaced by a glimmer of hope. She looked up at Eluned, with her eyes which was shining with tears. "Thank you...thank you so much."Eluned smiled and helped A
They all rushed inside the room, Aria was so anxious and scared to see Lyrien's condition. But as they entered the room, they were met with a surprise. Lyrien was sitting up, his eyes were opened and very alertive. He looked around, taking in the worried faces surrounding him.Aria was the first to react, she rushed to his side and flinging her arms around him. "Lyrien!" she exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down her face. "You're awake! You're okay!"Lyrien smiled were weak, his eyes were crinkling at the corners. "Aria, stop crying," he said, his voice been hoarse from disuse. "I'm fine. I'm alive."Aria couldn't stop, though. She held him so tightly, with her body shaking with sobs. They had saved Lyrien. As Aria continued to hug Lyrien, Lyrien put his hand on her,he stroked her hair, trying to
The room was filled with stunned silence, with everyone's eyes fixed on Lyrien in disbelief. Aria was the first to force herself to speak, her voice was shaking with emotion."I don't believe it, Lyrien. I refuse to believe that you're capable of killing your own mother. You're not that kind of person."Lyrien's expression was tortured, his eyes were flashing with pain.Aria continued with her words, her voice firm. "I've heard from Josh that you're searching for the Treasure of Time. That it will reveal everything that happened that night. I won't believe anything until we find it and uncover the truth."Lyrien snorted, his expression skeptical. "You really think something like that exists? I've searched for it everywhere, but it's just a myth. I don't believe it's real."Aria's jaw set in determination. "I don't care what you believe, Lyrien. I won't give up on you. I won't believe that you killed your own mother without solid proof. We'll find that treasure, and we'll clear your na
After a while, Erith patted Lyrien's shoulder, and Lyrien placed the bottle of alcohol down. Erith stood up and walked away, leaving Lyrien alone, sitting and gazing up at the starry sky.Lost in thought, Lyrien stared at the half-breed people around him, enjoying the music and each other's company. He look at how happy they are. After a while, Lyrien stood up and walked inside, he was taking his footsteps so quiet on the floor. He entered the room, finding Aria fast asleep, her face looks so peaceful in the dim light.Lyrien's heart was swelled with love as he gazed at her. He gently kissed her forehead, his lips was barely touching her skin. He then covered her well with the blanket, he then lay down beside her, wrapping his arms around her.As they slept, their bodies were entwined, and their hearts waere beating as one. Victor and his team arrived at the house, their cars were loaded with ammunition and weapons. The three vehicles pulled up behind quietly, trying not to draw attention to themselves. It was midnight, but the house was still lit up, music and laughter spilling out into the night air.Victor got out of the car, his gun at the ready. He surveyed the house from a distance, his eyes scanning the windows and doors. He signaled to the others, and they emerged from the cars, their own guns drawn. As they prepared to move forward, Josh called out from behind. "Victor, wait! Remember, we need the cursed wolf alive."Victor hesitated, his grip on his gun tightening. He had almost forgotten about that. Their mission was to capture Aria, the half-breed with the cursed wolf's blood, not to kill her.He turned to the others. "Let's move in quietly. We need to take them by surprise. Josh, you're with me. We'll take the front door. Mike, you're with Sarah. You take the back door. And Alex, you're our
Aria PovIn six days I shall be destroyed by the crescent moon.I am cuffed with the metal closing round my wrists, feeding off the energy of my wolf. Before me is the Seven Tower Gate, a dark monolith whose ancient power smothers mine. I'm a mutant-an impending bomb-a danger to my pack. The whispers of 'Born unclean, Threat to self / society,' still follow me. On my face, but also on my flesh, my body littered with scars from my time as their prisoner, their brand. Once each new crescent, and my strength explodes with little care of what it destroys. The gate groaned as it was slowly opened, and a mouldy piece of bread was thrown at my feet. A pitiful gesture to the monster they’d been conditioned to see me as. My father, the infamous Alpha had thrown me in the dephts of the Seven Tower Gate, a prison inside the Organization’s clutches. To the world, Opal had died – a lie spun out of thin air to keep their eyes and ears away. The truth was far less heartwrenching- I was the result of
We looked into each other and felt it hard to get away from his shining gaze. I knew he could feel it the same way. He's indeed my mate.''Whick pack do you come from?' He asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity and excitement. His gaze lingered on the shackles binding me, and with a boldness that left me breathless, he reached out and touched the metal.I was shocked - his wolf didn't flinch, didn't weaken, as he made contact with the shackles. It was then I realized he was no ordinary thief - he was an Alpha, a powerful leader with a strength that rivaled my own pack's leader.'Alpha,' I whispered, my voice barely audible, my weakness evident. But he didn't seem to notice, his focus fixed on the treasures surrounding us.With the precision of a seasoned thief, he gathered precious jewels and stacked them in his bag, his movements fluid and calculated.Just as he packed all the treasures, he turned back to me with a piercing glare."Let me get you out of this place," he said, his voi
