The silence was so oppressive, we all felt a physical force that that keep us all on ground. I couldn't control my heart as it continue pounding heavily in my chest, the sound from their steps echoing in my mind like a drumbeat.
The witches moved so closer to me, their veils rustling softly,
As they reached at my side one of them raised a hand, she pointed ber finger towards me.
"Aria," she said, her voice felt like a sigh.
"You have been chosen."I felt scared as they moved closer to me, their eyes were so fixed on me with an unnerving intensity.
"What.... do you want from me?" I asked, my voice were breaking
The leader from the witch grasped my arm, her grip was like an ice.
"We are taking you away, Aria. The Goddess has requested for you."And with that, they carried me away, none of those sitting even my father could sense while I was dragging away. I was dragged into a darkness so complete, it was as if the very light itself had been extinguished. I was at the hand of the ghost witches, and I don't even know what is going to happen next.
We moved through the heavy darkness, the witches' grip on my arms so tighter I couldn't help but stumbled, my feet struggling to keep pace with their gliding steps. The air was thick with an unfamiliar energy, and I couldn't help but felt scare as I was with them.
Finally, we reached our destination , we saw vast stone door, adorned with ancient carvings. The lead witch raised her hand again , and the door creaked open, it revealed another chamber beyond.
"Enter, Aria," she said to me again, her voice felt again like a sigh on the wind.
I first wanted to resist, as my heart melt pounding in my chest. But the witches' grip was so tightened, and I was asked to move forward, into the house.
The room was really vast, its ceiling lost in darkness. The walls were lined with an ancient artifacts, and the air from there was heavy with the scent I never smell. As I looked at my front, I saw a figure sat upon a throne-like chair, she was shrouded in shadows.
"Welcome, Aria," she voiced out, her reverbearates through the walls. "I have been waiting for you." She said again.
As I went closer, she slowly stood from where she was sitting, her aura fill the room.
She stood before me, her face revealed it all, her terrifying glory. I couldn't get hold of my mind as it was reeling in shock. It was the Goddess herself, her eyes were burning with a power that seemed to flow through my soul.
her eyes were like two burning stars. I couldn't help it but scare of everything about herf.
She raised a hand, and I got scared, I thought she want to hurt me, but, instead she simply touched my forehead as she caress my hair."Aria, the daughter of the moon," she whispered, her voice were really like a gentle breeze.
"You have been chosen. A purpose that only you can fulfill."
I swallowed hard, trying to find my voice but it kept breaking. "W-what purpose?" I stammered.
The Goddess smiled,
"You will be the key to unlocking an ancient power. A power that will bring balance to the world."I was totally confused and fear warring within me. "I-I don't understand."
The Goddess's changed, she continued. "You will understand me very soon, Aria. For now, know that you are the chosen one by the gods themselves. And you will fulfill a greate purpose, when the time comes."
As she said that I felt the chamber began to fade away, the Goddess's form started disappearing into a total darkness. I was left standing alone.
As the chamber faded away, I found myself back surrounded by the witches. They closed in around me, I was scared.
"Aria, you have been chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy," one of them said, her voice was deeo an firm.
"A prophecy that will bring witches back to Beachon City, without fear of slaughter by the Alphas."I shook my head, trying to understand them "What do you mean?"
I saw another witch stepped forward, her veil rustling softly. "For too long, we've been hunted and killed by the Alphas. But with your power, Aria, we can change that. You have a special gift, one that will allow us to return to our home, Beachon City, without fear of been attack again."
I had a mixed feeling, i was scared and confused.
"What gift are you talking about?"The witch's eyes seemed to focused on me, I was the central of their attention.
"You are gifted the power that can neutralize the Alphas' strenght and power , Aria. We need you to make them see us as equals that can live the city together, not as prey they should kill. And with your power, we can reclaim our place back in Beachon City, and rebuild our community."
I shook my head, trying to understand what they were actually asking me of.
"I don't know if I can do that. I'm not even sure what you're talking about."The witches comes around me, their faces hidden behind their veils, I took a step backward,
"You will learn everything very soon , Aria. We will teach you how to control your power, and you will help us reclaim our rightful place in Beachon City."And with that, they disappeared again , I was left alone and shaken in the darkness
I stood there frozen in the uncertainty of their word, as I couldn't brush their words of my mind. What power did I possess that surpassed the Alphas' strength? And what consequences would I face if I failed to comply with their demands?
As I struggled to understand the whole situation, I heard a faint rustling sound came from the shadows. I turned to see a figure emerging from the darkness. It was Lyrien, his face doesn't look welcoming, he was coming with a gun at hand, as he reached my sight, he aimed at me " just die " he said aiming the gun firmly at me.
Aria's PovI saw Lyrien's eyes, but they weren't welcoming. They were filled with rage and anger, a burning intensity that made my heart skip a beat. I tried to speak, to ask him what he was doing, but before I could even form the words, I heard the sound of a gun firing.I felt a searing pain as the bullet penetrated my chest, and I fell to the floor, my vision blurring. As I looked up, I saw the smile of an old woman, the same woman from my dreams. But this time, her smile was not benevolent. It was a mockery, a twisted grin that filled me with horror."Didn't I tell you, child?" the woman's voice echoed in my mind. "Didn't I tell you that no one would ever truly accept you? You're a witch, Aria. And witches are always alone."I tried to speak, to defend myself, but my voice was barely a whisper. The woman's laughter grew louder, a cackling sound that filled my ears and made my blood run cold.As the darkness consumed me, I saw Lyrien leaving, his back turned to me without a glance.
Lyrien eyes flashing red as he coughed out the wolvesbane's poison. Aria's face contorted in worry, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Lyrien, no! Oh, please...".Lyrien's gaze locked onto hers, his voice was weak but still reassuring. "Aria, I'm...I'm okay. Are you alright?", he still sounded worried for Aria.Aria's expression turned incredulous. "Me? You're the one who's...who's dying! How can you ask if I'm okay?"Lyrien's chuckle was faint, but it still held a hint of his usual arrogance. "Have you forgotten who I am, Aria? My power surpasses even the Alpha's. A mere wolvesbane can't affect my inner wolf."Aria's lips curled into a small smile, despite her tears. "You're still proud, even now."Lyrien's gaze softened. "Is the chain draining your energy again?"Aria nodded, with her voice which is barely above a whisper. "Your lost consciousness drained my life away more than the Seven Tower Chain ever could."With newfound determination, Lyrien tried to rise, his movements were sh
Aria's voice suddenly cut through the air, it shattered the tense silence. "Everybody should stop!" she exclaimed, her words was hanging in the air like a challenge. The room fell silent, all eyes fixed on her in awe. With a resolute gaze, Aria continued, "There shouldn't be a war because of me. I'm willing to surrender myself." The statement sent shockwaves through the assembly.Lord Edgard, her father, stepped forward, his face was etched with concern. "Aria, what are you doing? This is madness!"Lyrien, his eyes was blazing with fury, he unsheathed his claws. "No one takes her without going through me first!" he growled, his voice low and menacing.Despite the chains which were binding her, Aria stood tall, her eyes still locked on Lyrien. Tears streamed down on her face as she spoke, her voice were trembling. "I'm sorry, Lyrien. I never meant to be a burden to you. I'm been greedy because I've never felt love like this before. In death, I'll never forget our love."Lyrien's expre
As they sped towards the burstling city of Beachon, Lyrien's face were contorted in pain. He coughed out in pain, and Aria's eyes suddenly widened in horror as he lifted his hand up, revealing a crimson stain spreading across his shirt."Blood!" Aria screamed out, with her voice piercing the night air. " Oh my god, Lyrien, when did you get shot? Why didn't you tell me?"Lyrien's eyes clenched , his face was pale. "I...I didn't want to worry you," he gasped.Aria's gaze locked onto the driver at the front. "Faster! Please, you have to hurry! He's been shot, we need to get him to a hospital, now!"The driver's eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, his expression grim. "Hold on there my Alpha, I'll get you there as fast as I can."Aria's voice rose to a frantic pitch. "Faster! Please, don't do this to me! please Lyrien, stay with me, please!"Lyrien's eyes fluttered, his voice barely audible. "Aria...I'm sorry..."Aria's screams fill in the car, her world was unraveling as she begged the
The darkness suddenly closed in around Lyrien again, it was ike a suffocating shroud. He stumbled as his world spinning out of control. The air were reeked of decay and death. there was a twisted, ancient trees which loomed above, with their branches like a skeletal fingers wreaching for the sky.Suddenly, an old woman emerged from the shadows, her gnarled stick thumping against the ground. Lyrien tried to speak but couldn't, as his voice was caught in his throat. The woman's eyes glowed with an otherworldly light as she turned to face him."Witch!" Lyrien spat, his heart was racing. He unsheathed his claws suddenly, ready to defend himself. But the old woman merely laughed, her voice was like a rusty gate. "The Moonwhisper," she croaked, her eyes were glinting with malevolence.Lyrien called out the name the woman called him "Moonwhisper."'' Who are you and why did you refer me as that?'' He deman
The man suddenly slammed on the brakes, and Aria's heart skipped a beat. "We have to leave, now!" he urged, his eyes were scanning the surrounding area. The two hastily carried Lyrien out of the car and into the nearby forest, the trees are looming above them like sentinels. The man moved so swiftly, his knowledge of the terrain was evident as he navigated at the dense underbrush. Not long after, they reached a small clearing, and in the center of it stood a cozy cottage, smoke was drifting lazily from the chimney. The man pushed the door open, and they entered, Lyrien's limp form carried between them. The man placed Lyrien on a bed inside the small room, his movements were gentle despite the urgency of the situation. Aria looked around them, she was taking in the simple furnishings and the warm fire crackling in the hearth.Just then, a little girl appeared to them in the doorway, her eyes were fixed on Aria. She was so young, no more than ten years old in age, but her hair was strea
Arachne suddenly rose on her feet, with her hands weaving intricate patterns in the air. She chanted in an occultic language, and suddenly a soft, pulsing light enveloped Lyrien. The light then grew brighter, and Lyrien's eyes was fluttered closed as he stumbled backwards, he released Aria from his grasp. He fell onto the floor, and fall asleep, it shows the magic had knocked him unconscious.Aria collapsed to the ground, she was coughing violently, Erith hurriedly rushed to her side. "Aria, are you okay?" he asked, with concern etched on his innocence face.Arachne's eyes never left Lyrien's on the floor. "He's a Moonwhisperer," she explained. "They calm the room, separating darkness and light. But they're also incredibly sensitive to darkness."Erith's gaze turned to Aria. "And Aria's a Shadowbringer, made of darkness."Arachne nodded. "The silver in the bullet that hit Lyrien reacted with his Moonwhisperer blood, causing this...aberration."Aria's coughing then subsided, and she lo
"Find Aria soon, Erin. Before the next full moon." The woman voice sounded like a warning.Erin's grip on the desk tightened. "What's the hurry?"The woman's voice dropped to again to him like a whisper. "Aria's no longer the tame wolf you knew inside the Seven Tower gates. Every second she's spending outside is makking her growing stronger, and the curse within her is stirring."Erin's eyes narrowed. "I know"The woman's stare at him with her gaze seemed to bore into his soul. "If another full moon rises, the curse in her wolf will grow louder and uncontrollable. By then, no witch or wolf will be able to face her. She'll be unstoppable."Erin's mind was reeled as the woman's words painted a terrifying picture. He had to find Aria before it was too late. The woman's eyes glinted with a fierce light. "You have two weeks, Erin. Find Aria, and bring her back to me. I'll help you get the scale off her, but you must act fast."Erin nodded, a plan already forming in his mind. He would stop
