Abyss

As they sped towards the burstling city of Beachon, Lyrien's face were contorted in pain. He coughed out in pain, and Aria's eyes suddenly widened in horror as he lifted his hand up, revealing a crimson stain spreading across his shirt.

"Blood!" Aria screamed out, with her voice piercing the night air. " Oh my god, Lyrien, when did you get shot? Why didn't you tell me?"

Lyrien's eyes clenched , his face was pale. "I...I didn't want to worry you," he gasped.

Aria's gaze locked onto the driver at the front. "Faster! Please, you have to hurry! He's been shot, we need to get him to a hospital, now!"

The driver's eyes flicked to the rearview mirror, his expression grim. "Hold on there my Alpha, I'll get you there as fast as I can."

Aria's voice rose to a frantic pitch. "Faster! Please, don't do this to me! please Lyrien, stay with me, please!"

Lyrien's eyes fluttered, his voice barely audible. "Aria...I'm sorry..."

Aria's screams fill in the car, her world was unraveling as she begged the driver to go faster, her heart were racing with fear for Lyrien's life.

"Turn left! There's a hospital just ahead!" the driver yelled, swerving onto a side street.

Aria's eyes fixed on the hospital's neon light, she started praying out as they screeched to a halt outside the emergency room.

"Help! Please, someone help us!" Aria screamed, leaping from the car as medical staff rushed to their side. Aria refused to let go of Lyrien's hand as they wheeled him into the hospital, her eyes remained fixed on his pale face. "Why isn't it healing?" she begged, her voice cracking with fear. "Your wounds always heal, why not this time?"

Lyrien's eyes flickered, his voice barely audible. "I...don't know..."

Aria's screams echoed through the corridors as the medical staff rushed to stem the bleeding. "Please, someone do something! He's going to die!"

The nurse gently but firmly prised Aria's hand loose as they reached the ICU. "I'm sorry, miss. You need to let us work."

The mysterious driver who save them suddenly appeared at Aria's side, his eyes filled with compassion. "Hey, it's okay. I've got you." He pulled her away from the door, his voice soothing. "You need to keep calm. I believe in Lyrien, he will pull through this."

Aria's eyes were welled up with tears. "But why isn't he healing? He's always healed before!"

The driver's expression suddenly turned somber. "Lyrien is different, Aria. He's not like the rest of us. I think he'll survive this, but for now we need to let the doctors work."

Aria's gaze searched his face, desperate for reassurance. "You knew this would happen, didn't you? You knew he was in danger!"

The driver nodded, his eyes locked on hers. "I had an idea. But I promise you, Aria, Lyrien is strong. He'll get through this."

After hours of agonizing wait, the doctor finally emerged from the ICU, his face were etched with exhaustion. Aria and the mysterious driver rushed to his side, eager for the new from the doctor.

"How is he?" Aria asked, with her voice trembling.

The doctor sighed deeply first before he starts speaking. "We've managed to stop the bleeding, but we need to wait until he wakes up to assess his condition fully."

Aria's eyes was widened in desperation. "Can I see him now, please?"

The doctor hesitated. "I'm afraid not. He needs rest. We can't have you disturbing him right now."

Aria's face was crumpled, and she tried her effort to push past the doctor to the door. But the mysterious driver held her back, his grip was firm.

"Listen to the doctor, Aria," he said softly. "We need to wait until Lyrien wakes up."

Aria struggled hard against his hold, tears were streaming down her face. "No, I need to see him! Please!" she begged with her trembling voice.

The doctor nodded sympathetically before turning to leave. "I'll keep you updated on his condition. Please, take care of yourselves too."

The mysterious driver turned Aria to face her, his eyes were filled with concern. "You need treatment too, Aria. You're all bruised. Let me take you to get checked out."

Aria pulled away, her eyes were flashing with defiance. "Lyrien's health matters right now, not mine!"

But the driver held firm, his voice gentle but insistent. "You can't help Lyrien if you're not okay yourself. Come on, let's get you treated."

Lyrien's eyes fluttered closed, his mind was consumed by a disturbing dream. He found himself back at the house of their pack which he was banned, surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds of his childhood. His late father,Alpha Thane, stood before him, a warm smile on his face.

"Lyrien, my son," Thane said, opening his arms wide.

Lyrien rushed into his embrace, feeling the warmth and security he had missed for so long. His mother, Lila, joined in, wrapping her arms around both of them.

"Come, let's eat," Lila said, her voice filled with joy. "Our food will get cold."

They sat at the table, laughing and talking like they used to when Lyrien was young. The happiness was palpable, and Lyrien felt a deep longing for this life, this family.

But suddenly, the scene shifted. Darkness consumed everything, and Lyrien felt a sense of dread creeping in.

When the light returned, Lyrien found himself standing in the center of a nightmare. His parents' corpses lay before him, their bodies twisted in death. His mother's clothes were soaked in blood, her neck slit open. His father's eyes were frozen in a growl, his body contorted in agony.

Lyrien screamed, his voice echoing through the darkness. "Mother! Father!"

He fell to his knees, cradling his mother's lifeless body in his arms. His father's screams of pain still lingered in the air, and Lyrien felt a chill run down his spine.

As he looked up, his father's eyes locked onto his, filled with a mixture of pain and accusation.

"You," Thane growled, his voice barely audible. "You killed your mother. You're a cursed child, Lyrien."
