CHAPTER 99: ARTHUR'S PAST.
Just like penetrating x-rays, the morning sun rays shone into the room, illuminating it with a golden tint. The tree leaves outside swayed leisurely, dancing to the rhythm of the morning breeze carefreely.
As nature gradually reared its head full of grandeur, a pair of eyes snapped open as the boy squinted them to adjust to the light intensity.
He yawned as his brain gradually cleared up, while he rubbed his eyes with his hand to clean them. He finally sat up, as he took in his surroundings with dreamy eyes.
As he looked, something quickly caught his eyes, bringing a broad smile to his youthful face; his sleeping sister. He could not help but smile broader, as he recalled that today was her 15th birthday.
The small and shabby-looking room did not take away his excitement, he was already used to seeing it. And, it’s not like their room was the shabbiest either, others had worse.

The battlefield shook from the impact and vibrations as the 5 cadets utilized all their strength, skill, and experience in the last effort at victory. Clark feebly climbed out of his nutrition cabin, as Mark came forward to support him. The mental exertion was still affecting him, his hands shook unsteadily. Despite 10 minutes already being gone, the stadium was still extremely noisy from the excited cheers of the spectators. They kept on chanting World dominator’s name excitedly, as he already established himself as a gladiator legend in the Seafarers alliance’s arena. After noticing that all the gladiators were out of their cabins, a replay of the final moments of the battle was finally displayed to both the spectators and the gladiators. The stadium quieted down, as sound dampeners were activated to tame the noise. Despite his current feeble appearance, Clark was still able to capture what was being shown on the display. He clenched his fists as he saw himself being impaled on the chest by his opponent’s sword. His expression kept on fluctuating, as Mark slowly patted him on his back.

Sonia slowly brushed her dark hair, as it tumbled in a cascade down her back. She looked at her reflection from the mirror, prompting a soft smile to slowly outline her face. With her smooth but finely chiseled face, she looked just like the models who appeared in magazines in the 21st century.
