#2: The King's favor

She screamed loudly in pain, but she endured it just to avoid the marriage agreement. “Do you hear yourself, Ferrer? Do you want to marry Luna to the king? Are you really the father they know and be with for a long time?” Lucia said angrily to her husband after Don Ferrer decided to exchange the names of the two, where he would introduce his second child to the king as his future wife.

“What do you want me to do? That's the only way I can protect you all and save this family.” Don Ferrer responded with a frown, and he was standing near the window.

“Are you sure you're only doing this for the sake of our family or because you just want to save your own pride?” when he heard what Lucia said, he turned to her and raised an eyebrow as if he couldn't believe what his wife said. “Luna is only eighteen years old, what does she know about marriage? You see how innocent she is in this world, and I don't want her future to be ruined because of your selfishness. Don't you dare me, Ferrer. If you brought our daughter in the palace, I will not hesitate to divorce with you, and you will never see us again forever.” She added, and after she said that she turned her back on him, and then she left their room. Don Ferrer let out a heavy and deep breath, and then he punched hard the wall where he didn't know what to do. He is already struggling with the problem he is facing now and even him was against the marriage agreement where it is also against to his will to marry his daughter to the king. He did not want any of his two children to enter the palace because he knew that their lives would be miserable there and sad inside the palace. Furthermore, he even wanted them to marry simple men who did not come from noble families as long as his children are happy, he will not oppose them. His only desire for his two daughters is to be happy and be free to do whatever they want in their lives. But the situation is different now, where he has to decide as the father of his children. He felt that he was standing at the top of the tower where he had to choose which of the two he would choose to save and protect, his children or his wife. But there is no other way to break the agreement between them and the king. He has been serving in the palace for a long time, and he witnessed the growth of the king until he sat on his throne, so he knows all the things that happen inside the palace that the townspeople or outside the palace do not know. That is why he promised himself that he would not allow his two daughter to set foot in the palace, but he would keep them away from it and let them live quietly. But it didn't go as he wanted it to. He knows what will happen to his family if he disobeys the king's order and if he abandons him. He also knew that he had no other choice because even if he objected or did not agree to the king's wishes, his desire would still happen. The moment he utters a word, he will do it no matter what, even if he kills someone. He will use his throne as king and his power to silence those who stand in his way. That's why before that happens, before his family gets hurt and the king insults his two daughter and wife, he will be forced to take his daughter inside the palace. But contrary to Don Ferrer's knowledge that his second daughter, Luna already has another man in her heart. It was Zeeb, an immortal and an Alpha. Luna knew what kind of creature Zeeb was, but she still accepted him wholeheartedly and for who he was. The two of them met when Luna got lost in a forest where her life was in danger and wolves were chasing her.
