Tuesday morning and I had nowhere to be, not even work as Jessie and I took our three weeks break. I sighed, staring at my phone-no messages, not from Damon or Jessie.

Jessie had gone on a trip with Zach, promising to visit me today. As for Damon, we'd been talking, but he'd been distant lately. Was the intimacy that bad?

I sprawled back on the bed, my gaze fixed on the ceiling. Another sigh escaped me, restlessly shifting, wondering if he was thinking of me too.
