CHAPTER HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN

Bree woke up to a tossing and struggling Ryder clutching hard on her hand that had somehow made its way to his chest sometime in their sleep.

He was obviously caught in the tores of another one of his gripping nightmares that he never talks about.

His brows were drawn and furrowed in his struggle, his face contorted as if he was in pain and he was muttering unintelligibly.

She could make out a couple broken sentences or so from what he was muttering about, though.

He was repeatedly calling to someone, his father, she realised.

He was begging to be saved from some kind of torture and then there was there was her.......he was calling her name, begging her?

It was all so confusing and she had no idea why he'd transitioned from talking to his father to begging her, but it was a dream and she had an idea how easily those could morph.

She's been in more than a couple nightmares herself, they'd been more frequent in the days after she'd just been rescued from her father.
