CHAPTER 91

Harold's POV.

I stepped out of my car and slammed the door shut. My eyes were trained on Ella as she walked over. She wasn't even looking at me. Heck, she was completely ignoring me while she talked to her friend. Carolyn on her part couldn't keep her eyes away from me.

I walked over and stopped just right in front of her, stopping her from taking a step forward. Her dark eyes narrowed for a moment and she let out a cuss before she suddenly turned toward Carolyn and took her hand. Then, she attempted to sidestep me.

“Hey, Harrold.” Carolyn waved. She wasn't smiling like all the time I'd seen her. Her face was blank but her eyes expressed rage. A kind of deep burning rage that I didn't understand.

I could barely nod back at her because Riella was trying to sidestep me again. I grunted and grabbed her by her forearm, my body immediately heating up with her hit. Carolyn muttered something I didn't catch but when I heard her receding footsteps, I knew she was leaving us alone.
