Three days after the gala event, everything was going very smoothly, except for the constant threat posed by the Ryder group.

Isolated in the spacious living room was Avalynn.

The soft buzz of the city outside provided a stark contrast to the silence within the flat.

Her gaze landed on the timepiece. Again, Jace was running late.

He had promised to get home early for dinner, but hours had passed.
