Hayle's POV.

“He killed someone?!” I yelled at the top of my lungs, but Alex was quick to muffle my sounds by placing his palms above my lips. A slight wheeze eased through my lips at the sight before me. I couldn't believe it; I refused to believe it—that Adam had murdered someone.

“He says he didn't do it. Well, at least those were his claims.” He added, In trailing off with each word that he spoke, swallowing hard. I felt air narrow its way down my lungs.

“And you believe him!” I retorted, glaring at Alex, who looked just as confused as I was.

“I don't believe him... But there is no point in putting up with an argument either; he had explained it all, and it makes sense seeing his point of view. I'll have to send down men to the silver blade family ; they need to find out if all he said was true. I need to know if his story checks out or not.” Alex responded.

I could see the hesitation on his face; he was being torn about, his guilt getting the best of him at intervals. It wasn't

I know what I heard and saw, and I'm not going crazy!” I yelled, I was seemingly frustrated.I ran my hands into my hair while pacing back and forth in the room. A cold sweat broke off from my temples, and he stormed out right after causing those hurtful words to me. I was still taken aback by fear when Dylan walked into the room.I spent over twenty minutes explaining the situation to him; he didn't seem to have two doubts about it; there he remained standing on his feet, not saying a single thing to me. It bothered me, and I didn't like it. Why on earth was I to remain in a line based as such?.All I wanted was a little bit of peace and quiet, but that didn't seem to be helping matters either; they spent way more time doing less than they deemed fit rather than listening to me.“You have to believe me, Dylan! I will never lie to you!” I screamed, putting up a fr

He didn't care, he would believe me. Aans here I was drowning in more sorrows even when I knew the truth to the entire thing.. His brother was a murderer. I couldn't understand what Colton and Ted had said either. They wouldn't betray Alex, so what was I missing?.“Are you okay?” I heard a familiar voice say to me. I turned abruptly to see who it was and behold, it was Ethan.“You’re not supposed to be here,” I said to him, wiping my tears away.“Have you been crying?” He asked softly. I turned my face away, giving him no response.“Tell me, who hurt you?!” He thundered, trying to get a hold of my face but I kept struggling to keep it away from him.“You know how much Alex hates you being in his family’s territory. Especially around me For the last time, Ethan. What are you do

Hayle's It’s okay. If you say so. We’re headed to the same place. Do you want me to guard you?” He askedI hesitated but agreed after a few seconds of contemplation. As we approached the fight field, we heard the sound of cheering and shouting in the distance. The closer we got, the louder the noise became. Coral immediately took an excuse and left to bring Alex to the battlefield, making me continue my walk alone. When I finally arrived at the field, I was met with a chaotic scene. Warriors of all shapes and sizes were gathered around the field, some cheering, some chanting. The warriors were probably guarded just in case anything went sour. The field itself was huge, with dirt scattered across the ground and a large pit in the center. I saw the weapons lying on the ground, ready for use. I scanned the crowd for familiar faces, hoping to find a friendly face in the crowd. But all I could see were strange, intense faces, their eyes locked on the action in the pit. Suddenly, a roar

ADAMA grin crawled up to the sides of my lips while I walked closer to Hayle. I could see how stressed she was, and it worked just enough for me.Her head against the wall, her legs stretched out... I knew how much she was hurting, and I did not feel anything in line with remorse. She seemed to be way too engrossed in her thoughts to have noticed my presence “Thinking about your departure so soon?” I asked. A grin crawled up to the sides of my lips while my eyes remained pinned on them. I enjoyed the look of pain and torture in her eyes.“my departure? You think Alex will ever choose you over me?” She asked, trying to put up with a brave stance, but it was way too obvious that she was cracking up already; not too much could be done on her end, and for a whole lot of it, I did not feel a little bit of pity for her. “I'm sorry it got down to this, but I assure you, in a few days, you will be gone from these grounds; so enjoy the scenario for as long as you can okay?." I asked, sti

Hayle.“Hayle, wait!” She yelled right after me; cold sweat broke off my temples while I gloated inwardly, anger burning and eating away at me. I just couldn't believe it. AHS chose some dude over me, even after what we both have been through. It got on my nerves; I was in pain; it was simple; I was jealous as well; I didn't understand it; why was everyone always looming around Adam? The frustration was too much for me to be all blind to it, or they chose to be blind. He was a manipulative liar, a scheming devil, and yet they all kissed up to him, blind to the truth, and it wasn't helping me.They all seemed to have forgotten the ordeal we all had to endure in the past. “Hayle!” Juliet called out once more, this time holding my arms firm into hers while a gasp eased its way through my lips. I couldn't get it. What's he so worked up about? He kept getting on my nerves, and it was wrecking up the little patience that I had left.“Let me be Juliet. I'm trying to clear off some steam in

Hayle.“I can't believe it's not possible, not in the least manner; there's something off about it, about him it can't be. Okay?” I asked Juliet, who seemed as frustrated as I was.“We'll find out today, won't we?” He asked, and a sigh eased through my lips. I found it hard to believe that Adam could actually have not a single speckle of guilt or offense against him; I was sure of everything I had seen and heard. I saw him in the room that day, he had pinned me to the wall and threatened me, that what really caused it; the entire thing was planned out by him“They'll be here in a few minutes, and yes, there they are.” Juliet added in as both Coral and Ted walked in. It had been a week, and I had grown really restless. Nothing out of the blue happened, no flights, no arguments, no one was killed, thankfully, but Alex.He was barely home anymore. I recalled just about a few days ago; two, perhaps, didn't ring a bell, but Alex hung out the entire day and woke up to find him missing

Hayle.Hayle sat on the balcony of her room, rocking back and forth on her chair. She hadn't left her room since the previous morning when she came back from the creek. She just didn't see the need to step out when it wasn't like she was needed at all. A sigh escaped her lips as she looked at the rising sun. It was the time of the day lots of the pack members living in the pack house started to train and she wondered what exactly was there to see but she got out of her chair, changing into comfortable clothes she should be comfortable in in case she wanted to fight. She headed out of the room, heading down the stairs. The whole hall was quiet and as soon as she got to the front door, the sounds of growling and gunshot could be heard. As she saw what was going on, she wanted to turn back at the intensity in the air. They all seemed to be training like a war was coming and she saw most of them were focused on someone and it was Alex. He seemed to be dodging all of them as they leape

He had intervened and disrupted Adams' plan to take me out while fighting me in the training field. I was so dumb to recognize that that had been his plan all along. How stupid of me. Hayle stared out into the night; maybe for a couple of hours, she had her mind lifted off certain burdens, all thanks to Juliet who had accompanied her.She glanced down at her side with a smile on her lipsJuliet was fast asleep; unlike her, she couldn't get herself a good night's rest.If anything, it bore her more than enough. She was restless and maybe angry, but for all she knew, there were other things she needed to bring together.Weak and tired, she needed a little bit of peace and quiet. It felt like much was done or could be done; all she needed was her mind set free. She slipped out of the room, slowly heading towards the balcony, but then remembered that she had previously passed out there and slept in the cold till the next day. Goosebumps. swarmed into her, she freed herself up to the conclusion that was not by any means the route for her.She stood in her tracks, her head tilted a bit while she pondered hard about what to do. With a single thought lit up on her mind s

None of Alex's words made any sense to Hayle; how could her womb vanish into thin air? Why was he looking so serious? Was that meant to be a prank for her? Womb don't just get off one's body."Is this the part where I laugh?” Hayle asked curiously, flashing her bright set of teeth towards Alex, who was taken aback by her attitude. Sure as hell, she had her way, but he had his as well, and he was way more determined than anything else to handle the situation as best as he could, but she was not going to help anyone at all.“I'm sorry,” she whispered under low tones and tried standing on her feet. The first thing she felt was a throbbing headache and an insane urge to retch.“This isn't funny anymore, Alex. What's going on?” She asked again, seemingly confused as her vision was a little blurry.“Here, I'll help.'' Things seemed different for a moment, and the first thing that stuck with her was the vague emptiness that she felt, followed by quite a migraine that took place in her mind. What exactly was wrong? Why had she felt like something important was missing from her?.She glanced around, and the surroundings seemed familiar; it wasn't her room. But it looked oddly close. The first memory that shook her mind was collapsing by the balcony, cold and lonely, scared for her life, worried that no one would find her as people hardly entered or passed through there. She heard the creaking of a door, and the first thing she had done was close her eyes shut, firmly and tight, yet she found it really strange; she could not have picked up the footsteps approaching until she shut her eyes closed.“What's wrong with me?” She questioned herself yet said nothing. “I can tell you are awake; why bother pretending?” Alex asked as he leaned c

Hayle. The cold wind blew harshly against my skin. I circled up my toes and tilted my head a bit.It was odd; why did it look so familiar? Emerging from the room, the scent that filled my nostrils, I stretched my legs slowly and raised my head with a louder yawn.My eyes moved over to the balcony, and it made me really bothered. Why was I in a situation like this? It made me sick to my stomach as I realized I was no longer taken.“awake?” his voice covered around me, I tilted my head, In the direction the words came, as I shook slowly yet carefully, panic shocking at my sides,“Why am I here?” I asked, the words easing off my throat bitterly. I felt an uneasiness within me, and I pushed myself slowly towards the end of the bed.“Stop; you need to remain in bed; you aren't fully healed yet.” He complained even when I barely felt anything different within me.“some joke?” I asked, my gaze on his while he rolled his eyes in response.“What exactly is your deal? I dragged my feet reluctantly towards the don't and pushed it open, but to my surprise, it was Ethan.“Good morning, still asleep?” he asked. I shook my head, a faint smile against my lips. I could not really tell him much. It was probably not the best thing expected of me, especially given the fact that I had spent all my night thinking about Alex.“No, you didn't wake me; I had been a little tired from the journey; sleep didn't come easily.” I responded to his questions, although he seemed a little tense and worried.“May I come in then?” he asked, and I nodded, pushing the door wider apart for him to walk in.“I'm sorry, my manners are a little terrible. What's wrong? You don't look so good.” I asked on the spot, fighting hard to have my senses all intact.“Do you like it here, Hayle? Do you like be
