“You don't look too good. Someone spoke from across the bar while his feet drew closer to me. I took a shot of tequila, then chugged down more lime before moving my eyes to match his.

“ matt.” I wiped my eyes, two peas in a pod. They were unbelievable.

“I don't think the boss would like to see you here. Drinking all alone so late at night in a bar like this, aren't you both just married?” Matt asked with a smile lingering on the sides of his lips.

“You should be worried about your boss and not me; besides, does he care where I am or where I'm off to? It's not like it's any of my business or his; last time I checked, he kept pinning and whining on hayle . He just keeps talking about her—way too much gloating floating and this and that, and I'm sick and bloody tired of keeping up with his constant trauma. I'm not his mother, and I'm most certainly not hayle !" I complained and lashed out loud before realizing my mistake.
