"No, no,, not again.” Hayle ! uttered beneath her breath on the sudden realization that she forgot the file she had to work on tonight. Anger reeled into her seeing she had asked Vincent, the staff in charge, to watch for her, but both were half-hearted and forgot it. She left it sitting carelessly against the shelf where Stone could get access, just as easily.

“Mommy?" he said to his mother while he climbed into the back seat. It was twenty-nine minutes past five, and Hayle knew she had better hurry, and the office would be locked in a matter of mere minutes.

“Good evening. How was school today?” Hayle asked, hating on her mistake the most. She planned out the entire thing in her mind before leaving; it was a one-way thing. She decided to pick Andrew up from school sewing; she had a few hours to save for herself. She hoped that they had a little bit of chat before she got submerged in work once again, but she had been wrong. It was always one thing or another.
