CHAPTER 31 - DESIRES TOLD

I organized the office in time to regain composure, picking up the notebook from the floor and noticing a crack on the side.

“It must be nice to have so much money that you don't care about damaging a material good,” I murmured with a resigned sigh.

I opened the laptop screen to check for possible damage when an unusual email caught my attention with the subject: “TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION.” I furrowed my brow, curious to snoop around, but echoing footsteps in the hallway indicated Mr. Morgan's return. Furthermore, I headed to the chair in front of the desk, standing beside it as he passed by me without a glance, speaking over his shoulder.

“We'll be returning earlier than expected, tomorrow already,” announced the CEO, assuming the erect and firm posture of an arrogant boss. “I'll be out in the afternoon; use this time to write. I'm looking forward to the next chapters, and I hope you apply what you learned today.”
