CHAPTER 3

  "How dare you?" She heard that deep voice spoke with pure anger emmanting from his voice, Cold shivers ran down her spine immediately.

  It took Shannon a few seconds before she realized that the man was speaking to her, as she turned to look around, she noticed all heads were down only hers was raised up.

  Shannon quickly put her head down. "You, stand up!" She heard the commanding voice.

 She knew he wasn't referring to no one else but her, She quickly stood to her feet with her head down, just her first time of work and she have already had a black stain.

    She heard those steady footstep as she walked closer to her, with each steps he took her heart was skipping, every muscles in her seems to stop functioning. She could hardly breathe not to talk of saying a word. What petrified her was the power he seems to possess even though he wasn't the boss of the company and was just a mere client, but yet , the power he seems to possess was more than that of the CEO.

   Shannon felt her heart stop beating momentarily, when he stood very close to her, right in front of her, she'd could inhale that killing cologne of his, his cologne was so familiar, very familiar but she could not recall who wear such cologne.

  His aura was very familiar, but her memory was blank of where she had met this scary man. She tried recalling the possible places she might have met him, blank, everything appears blank.

  His hands met with her jaw lifting it roughly closely, he looked closely into her face , his sky blue eyes peering deeply into her eyes, her palm suddenly turned sweaty, her heart beating loudly that she'd could tell that he was going to hear it loudly.

 His hands suddenly went soften on her Jaw, those angry look that he'd was shooting her with soften, rather , she found him staring at her stupefyingly.

  "See me outside!" He simply stated, this time his voice was normal, with that he simply walk away with the other two trailing behind him.

Shannon finally released the breath she didn't realized she was holding onto, she inhaled fresh air as though she had been deprived of it for long, of course she'd was deprived. What had just happened? She thought to herself, blinking her eyes rapidly trying to take in all that she had just witnessed.

  "OMG, he touched you!" Amelia stood up running her gaze through her , her hands roaming through Shannon cheeks, as she dreamily ran her hands across her face.

  "I'm so sorry!" Shannon apologize softly for ruining the chance of convincing the client, she wasn't sure he was going to sign the deal with them again, her eyes went across the room, she noticed that everyone eyes was on her each holding a flabbergasting expression.

     "You need not be sorry, I forgot to prep you that he didn't like eye contact, it's not your fault, he seems not to be angry with you, you still have one more chance, now go and get him convinced " Amelia whispered to her ear.

    Shannon sighed as she took a light bow then hurriedly walked outside, when she got outside, she couldn't find them , she started walking down the corridor, her eyes scanning for them.

 Shannon was still walking when there was a power outage, everywhere was suddenly dark, she heard some footsteps, she quickly turned to look backward, as she turned, she felt someone covering her mouth.

 Shannon struggled with whoever it was, but her feminine strength was nothing compared to the strong hands that held her captive.

 One moment she was struggling to get out of her captive hands, the next she she was being taken away. Shannon felt herself on the floor, the light was immediately restored.

 Shannon looked up, there he stood his hands stuffed inside his pocket, and those cold blue eyes peering into hers , like a hot iron.

  Panic gripped her, her eyes scanned through the room, about five CCTV cameras laid destroyed on the floor, her heart sank immediately.

  Her gaze went from the camera to their supposed client, " Why did he kidnap her? She was sure that they'd was still in the company premises.

  "Why did you abduct me?" She asked, She never knew where the courage was coming from. 

Just a look from him had sent cold shivers down her spine, regrets followed immediately, she regretted ever asking him that, now she would have another consequence to face.

   Ryan was petrified on how brave she was, he'd could sense her fear but yet she was still brave enough to question his order, no one had ever done that. Firstly, she stared right into his eyes without fear and now she dared query his order, she has gone beyond her boundary but still he was still sparing her, This was something he found weird.. 

    There was something about her that he finds so appealing, he knew he had seen her somewhere, he could inhale her feminine scent, it was so obvious, he had met someone like her before, but he couldn't recall where. 

 He had expected her to have some clue, but she was acting as naive as he was, he grabbed her roughly on her cheeks again for questioning his order.. 

   "Don't you dare question me again, I do whatever I want to do and you wouldn't dare query me again, understood?" As he spoke, Shannon could tell that even the walls would acknowledge his words, who was she?

     " Yes sir! " She found herself replying to his command.

  "Good.." he released her cheeks, his eyes still glued on her face.

  "Now, Scram!" He pushed her away, his hands leaving her cheek.

   Ryan hands left her when he couldn't find a clue, maybe she'd was just some random people he had met somewhere, he would perhaps have a rethink.

   Ryan was petrified when he looked and still finds her in that spots, she really had this guts in defying in order, he hates repeating himself.

   "You aren't deaf are you?" He was at the verge of losing his temper, and he'd would go extra mile this time.

   "I'm not deaf Sir, I... I wanted to beg on the endorsement deal...." Shannon stuttered.

  Ryan found her request amusing, if only she knew that he was doing her a favor of setting her free without any issue, she'd would have scampered for her life rather than still requesting.

 It was her audacity for him, despite all, she was still brave enough.

   He walked closer to her, his height towering above hers, " You really want to get that deal?" His deep voice queried.

    Shannon nodded her head, the word was stucked in her throat, his presence was really affecting her so badly.

   "Yes Sir!" She managed to croak out..

  " Then, I would leave you with a deal!"
