The song that blasted from her phone was what brought her out of her daydream, it had been vibrating but she didn't notice.
She cleared her throat and shook her head to clear up her muddled mind. She had to think with her brains, that's what she had it for. She moved a bit and he released her, still staring at her. “Are you okay?” He asked and she wondered why there was worry ringing his voice, they didn't know each other. “I am so sorry, I wasn't looking, I bumped into you,” she said and immediately crouched to pick up her luggage. She raised up and he was still staring at her, a light blush appeared on her cheeks. “It's okay,” he said, staring into her eyes. “And it is going to be Alright for you, no matter what you are going through,” He said and she paused. How did the man know that she is nervous, she had always been the best at hiding her emotions. But nevertheless, she was comforted by his kind words, it was what she needed. Her phone rang again and she stared at the ID, it was Melissa. Of course, she had important things to deal with, but she is busy fantasizing about a man she didn't know even after swearing not to have anything to do with men. “Mr. Alexander, we should go,” she heard someone say behind her but was too muddled to process the words. She picked up the call. “So, what will you do?” Melissa asked, Sapphire looked around the place in irritation, the first thing she saw as soon as she was out irritated her even more. There was a big banner and on it was a picture of Oliver and Heather, Oliver was tagged the best gentleman and Heather was the loyal woman. They both had smiles on their faces as they were tagged a match made from heaven . Sapphire scoffed, they couldn't have been more wrong, he is an ass hat, how on earth do they tag someone who seduced her friend’s fiance loyal. They were smiling even after everything they did, how unfair that the world can still go on normally after someone's heaven was turned to hell. Luci once told her this, “whenever you see those who turned your world upside down smiling, smile too, so that all of you are smiling. They would wonder what psychotic thing you are up to,” So she let out an evil smile, they don't know what is going to hit them,” —-------------------------- She stared around and came to a quick conclusion that it has not changed at all, at least, not any major changes. The house was still the same way she left it, the sparkling white floor, chandeliers high in the ceiling yet hanging so low that you feel like you could touch it, the immaculate cream pillars, the chocolate colored door and the endless directions the spiral staircase led to look like the reminder of very bad nightmares, basically giving her the chills. "Young miss, they are waiting in the private living room," A maid dressed in the perfect maid uniform according to the Conrads said while showing the way to the room with her hands, she nodded once. "Let me show the way ma'am," The maid said, but she brushed her away with a wave of her hand. The feeling of being her is like being autistic, everything blend into a big blur, her legs took her to the direction of the room, despite how much she wanted to forget about anything that has to do with the house, she couldn't help that her body does not agree with her, well, neither does her brain. Her brain blocked out the good memories and kept the bad ones on replay, she can't remember clearly no matter how hard she tried and badly needed it. She stopped and stared long and hard at the dark door with a gold plate on which PLR was written boldly. She knows that whatever awaits her can't be good, simply because matters discussed in the private living room were never good, times told her that, loud and clear. It is about time she faces them, they should have a taste of their own medicine while she is here, no mercy, no glory and definitely no pity. Those bunch of selfish ninnies! She pushed the door open and she remembered the last time she was here. ±±±±±±± "What are you talking about, mom?" She asked with her lips wobbling, she could feel the tears gather at her eyes but she couldn't make them fall, maybe she heard wrong. "The decision has been made, you heard me right," Her mother said with emotionless eyes, she stared hard at her eyes but there was nothing there, no soft emotion. The light flowery curtains danced lightly to the side following the beat of the winds and the sun cast a glow on her mother. She always thought that her mother looked like an angel when that happened but she can't help but feel like she was staring at the arch devil at the moment. "But that decision does not pay me, not in the least, it's like you are dis.." The words felt tight in her throat, like a thousand stones were blocking it with a thick thread tied around her neck to add to the suffocating feeling, she couldn't just complete her words. "Yes, I am. It is honestly the least I could do," Her mother said the words that broke her inside, staring at the beautiful painting of the families who grew in the countryside having fun with joy in their eyes like it was the most interesting thing in the room. Her grandmother brought that on her thirty-fifth year anniversary, so her mother would have seen it for the most of her life. "The least??" She asked incredulously through tears while her mouth laughed. "That was the fucking least?" She yelled but it was not a question. Her headache was massive, she thought she was developing a migraine, her knees became weak, her eyes were blurred by the tears, a cold or perhaps fever came over her and dread settled comfortably in her stomach. That was her last freaking hope. Her mother walked away from her, her heels on the cream tiles creating a sound that sounded like the devil mistress was coming for her. She was in hell. She was a little bit wrong but she was massively wronged. ±±±±±±± She snapped out of her nightmare when she heard a voice called her in awe and disbelief, before the body jumped on her and hugged her like a Koala. "Maxwell," she called and everybody in the room snapped their heads when they heard that cold and soulless voice. He was the only nice one in the family, too bad there was nothing he could do then cause he was too young. The said guy raised his eyes and his hazel eyes stared into her blue ones which have iced over the years, and those sparkling hazel became clouded with tears. She stared at everyone in the room and knew just how they found her. The answer was sitting on the main singular chair in the form of her grandmother. Nevermind going into hiding again, she would be found. “So why on earth did you all request my presence?” she asked staring at them with cold eyesEveryone who declared a bad date for her was present. She walked to the chair that was the farthest from the rest and sat. She crossed her legs and stared at them all and they all stared back, not all of them, some glared at her. The tension in the room was so thick that a knife could cut through it. Everybody refused to speak. She raised her eyebrow and gave them a questioning look but they didn't seem to get the hint. She rolled her eyes and stared at the expensive beautiful clock that was given to her grandmother as a birthday gift from her father. 5:20pm. She intentionally came here late so as to avoid unnecessary chit-chat but it was like a cat got everyone's tongues. "So, why am I here?" She asked, even though Melissa already told her, she wanted to hear it from them. When nobody talked she rolled her eyes and her mother gave her the stink eye. "Just because you went away to some countryside for a year doesn't mean you should lose your damn manners?" Her mother said glari
"You are the only one that can do this Sapphire, not because of the flimsy excuses they gave but because they know you would do," The older woman said staring right ahead her rich hazel eyes glazing over while she brush her hand into her gray hair, the rich curls bouncing against her perfectly trimmed nails with no color on it. "Damn them all! Damn them all for thinking that I would bend to their wishes when I don't give a flying fuck about them, this family may rot in hell for all I care," She snapped, the anger in her voice and body with the way she was shaking and she stared heatedly at her grandmother. "Why did you find me for them when you know so well that I don't want to be anywhere near them judging by the place you found me," Sapphire said, squinting her eyes at her so hard they turned to slits. Emiliana knew that she would ask this question at some point but she didn't want to ask it so soon and straight forward, her granddaughter really changed so much. But since she wante
Sapphire got out of her room and sighed, she looked down the empty hallway, this is probably the only place in the house that was not buzzing, every single cleaner in the house was busy. She walked towards the dead end and stared at the sparkling pool. It was so luxurious, it looked the most beautiful at night but she couldn't bring herself to like the place. It was a reminder of the tragedies that happened to her. They both used to come to this magical place and have fun, it holds so many memories of them that it pains her to look at it. She wondered if she was so stupid enough not to notice any changes, at least she was supposed to know somehow, that is one of the things that still baffles her.She heard footsteps but didn't bother to turn, she knows who it is without having to turn, only one person makes so much noise when walking, she used to think it is one of the traits that makes her but she couldn't help but find it annoying as she heard it at the moment."Sapphire," she calle
Sapphire averted her eyes when her eyes met Alexander's but she could still feel him staring holes into her head, why can't he just try to look somewhere else.Sapphire rubbed her neck, this man is the only one at the table that is capable of making her nervous without trying.Melissa fisted her hands at the side of her dress as she stared at Alexander and her sister, the man was giving all attention to her and she was enjoying it, trying to cover her face and neck with her hands. She doesn't want to accept the fact that Alexander may be interested in her sister instead of her, she had approached him first, she had shown him all the tricks she had up her sleeve, why is he staring at Sapphire like she is the only one in the room. They tricked her, she was supposed to be the one getting married to him not the good for nothing sister, at the end of the day, Grandmother still likes Sapphire the most. She fooled everyone in the family and made sure she got married to this man.Turns out th
Sapphire left the Aldines' mansion in a hurry, she had seen Alexander coming towards her and her whole being enter flight mode, she ran out of the door and got inside her car as fast as she could. She looked back and saw the man staring at her car, he must think that she is crazy, even she thinks that she is crazy, who on earth ran away when they saw their fiance. They would probably spend the rest of their lives together. She isn't ready to get too deeply involved with another billionaire, the last billionaire -Oliver- who she got involved in turning her into someone who thirst for revenge. She drove her car into the parking lot of a supermarket and parked. She has to get all the things that kids need in order to give her kids a good welcome. They are picky and mischievous cute little things. She entered the supermarket and took a cart, enjoying her normal life and feeling like she was back in Gisborne. She was so lost in thought that she did not notice that someone else was also rea
Melissa stood at the stairs and watched Sapphire enter, she definitely went for exercise considering her clothes and the bottle in her hand. She took out her phone and walked up the stairs, she didn't raise her head once. She eventually bumped into Melissa who was just standing. She didn't raise her head or try to apologize, she just continued walking."Have you lost your manners because of your stay at that countryside,""Oh, I thought you have turned to a pillar, seeing as you have been standing at that spot for the past thirty minutes and not every single mistake has to do with manners, you saying it every time you see me not only makes you obnoxious but also a clown,""You have got to be kidding me, I lost face when you weren't here because of those bitchy things you did to Heather before you left," she said and Sapphire just stared at her, bored out of her mind. It's the same story all over again. How bad things were twisted, she loved Oliver with all her heart and considered Hea
A kid stood with her hands crossed as she glared at the older guy in front of her, they were at the airport."Yeah.. adults have the permission to be rude to kids but kids can't be rude to adults, this world mentality is quite twisted." She said and rolled her eyes, sniffing her nose."Look here kid, you shut up and get out of my way, I have somewhere to be and it's quite urgent," The exasperated man in front of her said in frustration and tried to side step her but the girl was quick witted."Look here adult, you listen to me and stare straight into my eyes, I have an urgent matter to solve and it involves you, so you have to stay right here," she adjusted her nose mask and put her hair behind her ears. She hardly reached his waist and had to stare up at the man so the difference in their height almost made her glare comical, the passer-by couldn't help but be amused."Let me just go, you kid of the devil,""That's what I'm talking about, you have zero humbleness in your fucking brai
Sapphire bit into her burger and stared around, many people all around, dragging their luggage into and outside the airport, one of the ideal places to get lost and stay found, crowded space. She had dropped the kids off with Luci and came to pick up her brother, the kids were excited by the fact they had an uncle who was good to their mother. She exhaled and rested her back on the bars while the bodyguard stayed on guard, staring to and fro.She slumped on the chair, the day was so tiring, from bitchy girl to jerk face assholes, a father in law that knows way too much about her and sister who would be planning her downfall right now, she feels like that burden of the whole world is on her shoulder."There he is," the guard on her right said and she immediately snapped her head towards the direction, that brown hair is one of the things she just couldn't forget before she knew it.She was already hugging him so tightly, he didn't complain and hugged her back just as tight.Yeah, yes,

Last time, it was her family signing a fake marriage contract, but this time, she was having a real engagement party.Alexander was talking with a the same man he was talking to that day, and was standing at that same spot, only this time, the spot where Melissa stood was acquired by Luci and Zayn, they were chatting heartily, a man tried to pass and almost bumped into Luci but Zayn quickly wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her to the side, they both talked to the man and resumed their conversation, but Zayn hands never left Luci’s waist which made Sapphire smile. Not too far from them were Tiara and Fiona who seemed to be having a serious conversation. Fiona was the one speaking while Tiara just stared at her.“You finally decided to show your face out here?” Mr. Aldine said and Sapphire laughed, it was a small and quiet laugh.“I am sorry for not visiting you since all this while,” Sapphire said.“I understand. You have been busy, besides I have the kids by my side most o
“The only thing I love the most about everything here is your ring, I mean, would you check out that beautiful thing?” Tiara who was dressed to perfection gushed, she bent beside Sapphire and held her hand up to her face, and she stared at the ring with a gooey look in her eyes. She had asked Sapphire to remove it to let her examine it but Sapphire had refused to do that.“You have been saying that you loved the ring in a thousand different phrases ever since you saw that ring on her finger,” Gladys said beside her, Sapphire didn’t know that someone could look so hot in a super short dress at an engagement party but she managed to rock it hard. Gladys rrolled her eyes at her friend who only pouted at her before turning back to the ring.“Just how much was it worth? Did you ask him?” Luci asked as she perched herself on the beautiful chair that Sapphire was sitting, she also stared at it in admiration. Luci had gone for the dark look with her floor length back dress that was slit all t
Headache shot up her head when she hit her head on the floor and she willed it to split apart in order to stop, she could only groan in her throat and curse Sapphire and her friends over and over in her head. She turned to her head and felt every single part of her body freeze, she didn’t even dare to blink, it would make too much noise and her body was particularly capable of that feat.Just a foot away from her were giant scorpions, they were huddled together at a spot and were unmoving, her eyes trailed upward and a gasp would have fell from her lips if she didn’t have that gag because she saw a snake crawled on the ground into a spot and came out of another opened one, that was when she saw the snake for what it was; a viper.Cold sweat covered her and her body started shaking in fear, her inability to run her way out of this dangerous ditch also made her terrified, it would be the end of her if she was attacked. She tried to move back only for back to slam heavily on what seemed
“You shouldn’t do this to me, if you do this to me you would be a murderer too,” Arielle said, desperately and Sapphire shrugged.“Doesn’t matter. We Conrad are known for being villainous already, if I emerged as a murderer, people won’t be shocked, they would be even glad that I got rid of you for them.” Sapphire said and nodded. “Here is what we would do. Try to convince me to not kill you, I am listening,” Sapphire gestured to her with her hands.“Aren’t you afraid of ending up in hell?” she blurted out and Sapphire stared at her with a dumbfounded expression, everyone paused what they were doing but Luci was the first person that burst into laughter, she doubled as she tried to control her laughter and catch her breath but she couldn’t stop herself.“What?” Sapphire asked in disbelief and she started chuckling before she started to laugh . Zayn was snickering from where he sat and staring at Arielle with the expression that screams ‘No, you didn’t just say that bitch.”Some of the
Arielle sat in the cell that was reserved for only ‘hardened criminals’ like her, that’s what everyone referred to her as, she even saw some of the prisoners flinched when she brushed her hand passed them.Even though they call her suspect in face of any camera they see, they treat worse than a murderer that has went to court and branded as on, they should at least picked her to court first. She thought about the day’s event and laughed out loud, maniacally and hysterically, the wardens at her door glanced at her once before they turned to resume their duties of staring, at least that was what she assumed, she only saw their eyes through the small space at the top of the iron door and she didn’t saw them again when they moved.Melissa had been sentenced to life imprisonment. Very good! That was what she had planned from the beginning of her plan, the one she drew when she was sixteen, that was the only plan that was to her aid. Even if Melissa hadn’t been in prison because she foolish
“With all of the solid evidence against Ms. Melissa Conrad, I hereby sentence her to life imprisonment, the money that she has now would be used to pay for the companies she damaged and the rest would be confiscated.” The judge said and Melissa just stared blankly at every single person in the court, her eyes met Sapphire’s and they both stared at each other solemnly for a bit.It was Melissa’s hearing and Sapphire went with almost all her friend, Luci, Tiara and Gladys, Claire was absent because she had something she needed to do at the gallery and Trisha had once again been asked to do some humiliating task by her mother-in-law, Sapphire hopes that she would be able to break free from their abuse soon and would stop at nothing to help, Tiara also assured that if they interfere in it, her in-laws would not do as much as grunt but Trisha would only smile and say that it was not yet time to make such a move, she wanted to wait till climax before executing which made Sapphire suspect th
Luci rushed to Sapphire who was sprawled on the ground with a blood stain on her stomach. She felt her breathing and saw that she was still alive.“Save Sapphire first, let's get her to the hospital! Zayn, get a car instead of standing there like an immobilized ant, Claire, get the first aid box,” she screamed out orders and Claire quickly nodded, running to the door at the speed of light, it was like her feet weren't touching the floor at all, Zayn also went out of her sight and some men advanced towards her to help carry Sapphire. She saw that Alexander hadn't moved from the same spot he was since the Arielle fiasco started, it made her gritted her teeth in irritation and despite the fact that she always tread cautiously and respectfully around the man, she didn't know when she snapped at the man angrily.“You wife is here in the pool of her own blood, dying and barely holding on to life because of the stupid thing she did well th this crazy woman,” she said, glared at Arielle who h
Sapphire wrapped her night robe around her tighter, it was pretty chilling out here but she felt that she needed to go on a walk to clear her head now, Melissa has a hearing in the court the next day and in front of her very eyes, she might be convicted for a crime Sapphire was sure that she had absolutely no idea of.It was pretty clear to everyone in the inner circle that it was Arielle that set her up, Brielle had confirmed that Arielle was indeed sighted at the premises of the prison at that night, her face was shown as she was using her signature face cap and mask, she had her hair well-kept in her cap and didn’t made any silly mistake like letting a strand of her hair remain in the murder scene, she had gloves and boots on and that’s why no DNA of her was found on the scene.Though there was no assurance that she would be able to get Melissa out of the prison if she interfered, she would at least get a reduced sentence of a punishment lighter than the initial one that she would
