Shravan and Drishti carried all their shopping bags up to their penthouse with the help of the security guard.

As they reached the bedroom, Drishti stuffed all her new dresses into the wardrobe along with her old ones.

Shravan shook his head and talked himself out of a speech regarding order and arrangements.

"If he starts that, the topic will end up with him being accused of being a bore," he thought to himself.

"Why provoke her?" he thought to himself.

"Where are your shopping bags?" Drishti asked, coming around and taking them from him.

Shravan stared in horror as she opened his side of the wardrobe.

"Noo!" he yelled, startling Drishti.

"What? Why are you screaming?" she asked.

"Uh, nothing. It's just... Ah! Yes, I will arrange them. Why don't you go and take a shower? I know you must be tired after all that running around in the mall," Shravan quickly covered up.

Drishti shot a bright smile at him.

"Aww, you are worried about me being tired? How cute," Drishti cooed and hugged him

Now go take a shower and get ready."As Drishti came out of the shower, she saw Shravan dressed in his usual classic black suit and frowned."Do you have a business meeting on the way?" Drishti asked."No.""Then why are you dressed in a suit?" Drishti asked in irritation.Shravan shrugged. He had gotten used to wearing suits on a daily basis. Initially, it was to create a mature professional image, and with time, it just stuck."Take it off," Drishti demanded."What? We are getting late, Drishti. You get ready quickly," Shravan said.Drishti walked straight to her wardrobe and chose bl

Are you taking your medications on time?" Shravan asked."Yes, yes," Tej Maheswari said, waving his hands off dismissively."Don't exert yourself, Dadu," Shravan said."I know, I know. The old man radiated control and authority, and Drishti stood rigid for a moment, feeling like a schoolgirl called to the headmaster’s office.Seeing that she had made no movement, Tej Maheshwari repeated his order."Sit down."Cowed by his icy tone, Drishti plopped onto the chair. Without thinking, she toed off her shoes and crossed her legs under her, so that she was balanced on the seat."You need to learn to—" He broke off as he saw the way she was sitting. "What are you doing?""Sitting. You told me to sit. I sat.""I told you to sit, not take your shoes off." Shravan asked.Anuradha Maheswari brought a large antique box out of the cupboard and placed it on the bed."These are the family jewels. They have been passed down for generations. My mother-in-law gave them to me when I first came here. Now they are for you," Anuradha said."Woah," Drishti exclaimed, seeing the antique pieces in the box."You like them?" Anuradha asked."Yes, they are all beautiful, aunty," Drishti said, not wanting to hurt her mother-in-law. Admittedly, the jewels are all beautiful, but they are too heavy, and Drishti is not a fan of heavy jewels."I know, but they are not easy to wear. They are so heavy. They have been passed down to the younger generations, so you can keep them and pass them on to your children in the future," Anuradha said with a smile."I'm very careless, aunty. The love in his voice was unmistakable. "I'm sorry I gave up on you. I...""No..." He placed a finger on her lips, hushing the stream of regret. "I was wrong. You don't have anything to answer for. The world they had known had been torn up, and the pieces couldn't be put togethe
