CHAPTER NINETY

Amelia hadn’t the slightest idea where Jackson was taking her. He had said it was a surprise and had been checking his phone for the past hour thinking she did not notice.

She wondered what it was about and when he told her it was time for them to leave, she let him guide her back to the club where his car was waiting for them.

He whispered something to the driver and then settled into the back seat with her

“You have to tell me where we are going; I don’t know if I am appropriately dressed” Amelia told him

“You are perfect, Amelia” he replied, smiling at her.

“You would say that if I was wearing sack clothes and had ashes over my head” she laughed

He laughed with her because she was right

“It is nothing serious” he muttered vaguely, squeezing her hand gently

Amelia did not press further mainly because she knew he wasn’t going to divulge any more information.

They got to the airport and climbed into his private jet which was already waiting.
