CHAPTER FIFTY SEVEN

Jackson was at his desk and with Amelia when the phone in front of him began ringing incessantly. His eyes remained fixed on the vibrating phone before him as Sophia’s name flashed on the screen.

He wondered why she was calling and could only guess that it was because she had not received any message from him as to the interview. He knew she was probably shitting her pants in worrying at his nonchalant behavior towards her plans.

He had nothing to say to her of course but that did not mean that he wasn’t pissed by what she had done. Even though he had the perfect plan to upend everything she thought she had done, he still not want the kind of drama her news was bringing.

It meant that he was now once more in public light and honestly after so many years of not being heard from; he found it quite uncomfortable but the damage was done and there was no going back now from anything.
