CHAPTER SIX

Isabel woke up after a few hours and her first concern was the triplets.

"Where are the triplets? How are they?"

"They're fine." The nurse in the ICU with her assured her, but she wasn't convinced.

The doctors had told her that one of the triplets was in danger and that was the reason tthey hadto induce labor.

All she remembers was giving birth to one baby. She has no memory of giving birth to the other two.

What happened to them?

"Can I go see them?" She asked the nurse, hopeful she would allow her to see the babies, even if it was just for once.

They might not be hers, but she carried them for eight months and is entitled to know about their wellbeing.

"I don't think that's a great idea, Ms. Hadid. The triplets are in the NICU where they're being taken care of. You don't need to worry about anything, except your health." The nurse explained to her.

Isabel opened her mouth to speak, but she beat her to it,

"Your health should remain your priority, not theirs. Their father has
