Chapter 24: Like a Friend

Unfortunately, a taxi cruised past me without stopping, as it was already occupied.

Dispirited, I began to walk away from the villa, making sure I was out of sight in case Nora arrived. However, after half an hour had passed, there were still no more taxis in sight.
