"Hi" Eva said to a shocked looking Adler. He'd just come back from London to find her on his doorstep, waiting for him.
In all honesty, she wasn't planning on going to see him at all. He'd run off to London after promising her dinner and she was a little mad at him. If he didn't want to see her then all he had to do was say so. She was willing to give him time to get used to the fact that she was going to be his girlfriend. She also wanted him to go looking for her. That way she would know how he felt about her. But Rossy ruined everything.Last night when she was about to go to bed, her sister had called telling her to hold on to him and never let go. Now, while Eva knew exactly why she wanted to be with Adler, she didn't need any further advice on keeping him. That just made things harder on her end. Whatever her sister saw in him to warrant that call, Eva wanted to know too. It was unlike Rosslyn to call and tell her to keep a man. Between the two sisters, they had a rule about men. And that was to keep their opinions of each other's boyfriend to themselves unless it was necessary to speak up. Not that Eva followed that rule but still....She wanted Adler to chase her. Just once."Should I ask how you found out where I live?" he asked leaning on the wall beside her."I have my ways""Okay then. I'll go for why you're here then""You owe me dinner Adler""I know. And I would have called you when my schedule opened up. You didn't have to come all the way here"Narrowing her eyes she studied him. He looked a little tired but still handsome as ever. Leaning on the wall like that while holding a traveling bag, he might as well have stepped out of a GQ magazine. She wondered how many women threw themselves at him and how many he caught. Perhaps there was someone he liked or loved. Otherwise, why would he be pushing her away?"You really don't like me at all. Do you?" she asked sighing. She'd gotten her way with men every other time so it was only fair that this one didn't want her. Eventually there was bound to be a man out there who could resist her charms. It was a pity that man was Adler but she couldn't do anything. There was a difference between pursuing someone you liked and being desperate. If it ever came to the latter then she would definitely be in trouble."Okay. Get some rest Adler. I'll see you around" she said starting to walk past him to the elevator but he grabbed her arm asking,"Leaving so soon? Didn't you come here for dinner?""I did. But I also know where I'm not wanted so I promise not to bother you again""Did I overestimate you? I didn't think you'd give up so soon"Turning around to fully face him, she said "I don't understand you. One second you want me to leave and the next you're disappointed because I'm doing what you wanted? Make up your mind Adler""Call me Mace or Mason and I never told you to leave. I know I owe you dinner so come on in""Are you doing this just to get rid of me? Because if that's the case then don't bother. I'll leave on my own and never come back here again""I wouldn't invite you into my house if I didn't want you to come in""So now you want me to come in? Did you change your mind or are you planning to take advantage of me? I know that I'm......""Jesus woman, I'm simply agreeing to have dinner with you. Stop overreacting about every little thing""Does this mean we're dating then?" Eva asked excitedly. Adler looked at her then shook his head saying,"God you're adorable. Too adorable for my peace of mind""Oh come on. We both like each other so what's stopping us from being together?""Nothing. Absolutely nothing at all"Taking that as a good sign, Eva walked in the second he opened the door. She went around the apartment, surveying everything. It was a typical bachelor's house with grey and black decor. Except for the flowers in the vase that was on top of the dining table, nothing else was out of the ordinary. She knew firsthand that men couldn't be bothered to place flowers anywhere in their houses so this had to be the handiwork of some woman. All of a sudden, she wasn't in the mood to have dinner with him."What's with the face? Is my house not to your liking?""If it wasn't would you allow me to change anything?" she quipped"Let's see... " he said scratching his chin "What don't you like?""The flowers" and without waiting for his reply she snatched them out of the vase then dumped them in the trash bin."My mom will be really disappointed that you don't like the flowers she chose for her precious son" Mason told her smiling."Your mom? As in your mother?" Eva shrieked"Yes""Oh my God, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she scrambled to take them out of the trash "I didn't mean to throw them away. I'm really sorry""It's okay....""No it's not. If she knew I'm sure she'd be really mad""Stop Eva. It's okay""I think I ruined them. I saw a flower shop when I was on my way here. I'll be right back. I'm going to buy exactly the same flowers. She won't even know....." Mason took her shoulders and walked her backwards until her back hit something solid, cold. The fridge."I said its okay. Stop worrying""You should have told me they were from your mother. I thought some other woman had placed them there so I got mad and grabbed them without thinking. I'm really sorry""Are you saying you were jealous because you thought I had another woman?" he asked smirking. She knew he was teasing her but she couldn't help it. As early as this he had to understand that sharing had never been one of her strong holds."Of course. As your girlfriend, I will be really pissed if ever find out you have another woman. I don't like sharing Mason. Especially when it comes to my man"He let go of her shoulders and took a step back, the smirk on his face gone. Eva's heart skipped a bit. Had she said the wrong thing? Was that the reason he'd pulled away from her? She couldn't describe the expression on his face so she stood still, afraid that he might throw her out. Throwing away the flowers his mother had bought for him wasn't enough. She had to go and open her big mouth. You're and idiot Eva. Such a big idiot. She cursed herself.Mason looked at her one more time then hissed "Fuck!" she was about to apologize again but he moved and in a flash, he was pressing her against the fridge "Do you ever think before you speak?" he asked, his breath fanning her face"Why? Did I say something wrong?""I don't know. I honestly can't understand why what you said is making me act like this"Eva frowned "Like what?"Instead of replying, he bent his head and captured her lips with his. Shocked that this was happening so soon and that he was the one who'd initiated it, Eva froze for a second, scared that she might be dreaming. That was the thing about dreams. You move and they're over. This right here was a dream she hoped would last forever. But then Mason started to pull back because she wasn't responding and that got her to move. Snapping out of it, she quickly wound her hands around his neck and pulled his head down.Maybe he'd just wanted a taste or a simple kiss. But the second their lips touched, she wanted more. Actually, she wanted everything and she made sure to make it clear. He flattened his palm on her lower back, closing the distance between their bodies. Eva pulled the hair at the nape of his neck while rubbing herself against him and was pleased when she felt him pressing on her stomach. It was their first kiss but it didn't feel that way. It felt as if they'd done this several times and it was time to take it to another level. She was definitely ready to move this to the bedroom. Of course there was nothing wrong with the kitchen or the living room. She was really creative when the situation caller for it. But she wanted to do a lot of things that would require him to be comfortable and on his back. Later they could move on to other rooms. That thought had her locking her knees together. Finally she'd found a man who lit her on fire and he was taking too long to put it out. The way his hands moved on her back, leisurely, slowly, it was as if he had no intention moving from there. Jerking her head back she looked at him"What are you doing?" Eva asked"Kissing you. I was also enjoying it and was under the impression you were too""Uh how long will this foreplay last? I'm kind of in a hurry to move on to the next phase""What?""You heard me. Where's the bedroom? I think that once we're in there, you'll feel the need to hurry up a little. I don't want to rush you because I want this to last but I think we should speed up a little. It would also be so much better if we were naked. I can't wait to explore all this" she took a step back to take another look at him. Oh yes, she couldn't wait to lick every inch of this body. He looked good in a suit and Eva was sure he looked even better without it. Her eyes moved from his feet, up his legs and stopped at the visible bulge between his thighs."I'm going to go take a shower and change. I assume the bag you were carrying had some groceries in it. Look through the fridge and decide what you want for dinner. I'll be right down to start on it""Dinner? Are you deaf? I asked you where the bedroom was. Forget about dinner, there's something else that needs my attention more than food""I'm not deaf Eva but I'm starting to think that you need a medical check up""Why? Because I'm attracted to you and can't wait to see if I can fit you in my mouth?""Jesus Christ woman, I didn't invite you in for this. We're going to have dinner then I'll take you home. Okay?""Ah I get it now. You're a gentleman who wants to do things the right way. I understand Mason""Good. I'll just change and come right down" he turned to leave but she grabbed his arm"At least let me take care of that" she said pointing to his erection "Hand or mouth? Which one do you prefer? Or both?""Let go of my hand and don't move until I disappear up the stairs""Oh come on, it won't take long. I'm sure we can delay dinner for a few minutes""No but thank you for the offer. Now stay" he told her hurrying up the stairs.Irked, Eva murmured "I'm not a dog" but didn't follow him. Mainly because she didn't want to scare him away. They had just started dating. It would be a shame if he ran off because he thought she was really crazy. Was it the first time a woman wanted him more than he wanted her? Wait, did she want him more than he wanted her? And if so, how could she turn the tables? There was nothing wrong with wanting him more but it would be better if he at least wanted her as much as she did him. Then she wouldn't have to look like a crazy person when she wanted to sleep with him on their first date. But then again it wasn't crazy at all. It was just that she'd never met a man like him. He was the quiet, broody type and she wanted to know how it would be like to make love to him. Fast and wild or slow and steady? Or both?"Stay Eva. Don't follow him or you'll ruin everything" she told herself. Mason wasn't ready to be with her yet. If she rushed this, it might end up being a one night stand. She didn't want to have a one night stand with Mason Adler. So reluctantly, she did as he said. Took out the ingredients she'd brought and looked through the fridge. It was filled with food, unlike most bachelor's fridge. She wondered if he was the one who'd filled it or his mother. Crap, was he a mama's boy?His house was too clean, the flowers had been fresh and his fridge was full of cooked and raw food. How many times a week did his mother visit him? Did she clean his house too? Do laundry while she was at it? Holy cow! Did she decide who did or didn't date her son? No way, he couldn't be a mama's boy. He was perfect. Manly, handsome, sexy, ran a fucking multi-billion dollar company and a good kisser. There was no way he could be a mama's boy. She'd frozen, bent over the fridge, so deep in thought that when he touched her shoulder she jumped."What are you doing?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows."Looking through the fridge for something to eat, I mean cook""What's gotten into you now?""Are you a mama's boy?" she blurted out then slapped a hand on her mouth. She shouldn't have asked that. It wasn't like he was going to answer her honestly anyway."Excuse me?""You know what, forget it. I honestly don't want to know the answer to that. Do you like pasta? Or rice? Which one will be ready faster?""Hold it right there Miss Becker. What made you think I'm a mama's boy?""Nothing. Don't get offended Mason. Let's just forget it and....""Because I think it's too soon to sleep with you?""About that, are you going to need your mother's permission before we, you know, do the deed?""Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into?" he asked looking at the ceiling. Eva bit her lip, afraid that she would ask another stupid question."I.... I'm sorry. I'm excited and when that happens, my brain to mouth filter stops working""Okay. You are going to sit down quietly and wait until I finish cooking. Then, we're going to talk. Not another word Eva" he added when she opened her mouth. Nodding, she sat on one of the long stools opposite him already forgetting about him being a mama's boy and wondering if he was that dominant in the bedroom. Something about him ordering her around turned her on. Would he punish her if she didn't listen to him?An hour later, they were sitting at the dinner table enjoying lemon butter chicken with vegetables and wine. She had to agree that he was a good cook which reminded her about the mama's boy issue and successfully made her lose her appetite. Taking her glass, she gulped down the wine then reached for the bottle which Mason snatched away before she could get to it."Eva, I am not a mama's boy. I am an only child but once you get to know my mother, you'll understand why I can't be that. So stop drinking and eat or leave if you're done"She gasped "Are you kicking me out of your house?""I invited you over for dinner. If you're done eating, shouldn't you leave?""Asshole. You didn't invite me over, I came here after inviting myself. And I am done eating so goodbye" she kicked her chair back, grabbed her purse and headed towards the front door. She heard him pushing his chair back and was surprised by how quick he was when she felt his arm go around her waist."Where do you think you're going?""You just told me to leave" she yelled."After you finished your dinner""I'm not a child that has to eat vegetables because you said so""I don't understand why you're angry" he told her chuckling making her angrier"I'm not mad. You told me to leave so I'm leaving""Will you stop yelling? At this rate I'll end up deaf""Then let me go and I'll be out of your house""Did I give you permission to leave?" he asked turning her around to face him. Eva was ready to kick him in the balls but he lifted her up, threw her over his shoulder and marched upstairs. The view from there was magnificent but she was angry."Put me down you idiot. One second you tell me to leave and the next you have amnesia? God, you're such a jerk""Let's work out all this anger you're feeling. I know of a healthy way to manage it" he said spanking her. Eva stopped fighting him. Was he saying what she thought he was saying? She didn't have to wonder long. Mason walked through a door and the next thing she knew she was flying through the air. She landed on a mattress with him on top of her. Without pausing to think about what was happening, she flung her bag over his back while her hands went around his neck.Eva forgot why she had been angry and got down to business. This was going to be a long night because she wasn't going to leave until he finished what he just started.*****************************************Mason looked down at her, giving her body a once over. She'd worn a dress today, a blue one. It was simple, with cute bows at the shoulders and something he would have expected her niece to wear. Not her. He'd seen the kind of clothes she wore. Cute wasn't a word that could be used to describe any of them. Hot, sexy, drive men insane kind of clothes, that was how he could describe them. It was amazing how good she looked in everything and he wanted to know how she'd look without them on. "I don't understand why you're angry Eva. Up until now I've told you a lot of things that could have angered you" he said looking down at her. She'd stopped fighting him and was just lying there glaring at him. "You're frustrating Mason. One second you're all over me and the next you want me to leave after dinner. I'm at a loss on what you want" he sighed and dropped beside her. "You're not the only one feeling frustrated. This is going too fast" "Is that your way of calling me cheap an
Talk about bad timing. That fucking stalker was going to get it when she found him. Why that day of all days? He could have chosen to trash her house another day. Hell she would have paid him to change his plans so she could spend more time with Mason. He'd surprised her. She hadn't believed he would give in so soon, especially after he'd insisted on going to sleep last night. Her body ached because of him and for him but it still wasn't enough. She wanted more, had already planned how she was going to spend the day. Why were people so hellbent on ruining her life? "Let me come with you" he was worried. For her. How cute. "No, you're going to distract me. It's been months since the stalker acted and I need to know what spooked him or her. It could be a woman, why hadn't I thought that?" "Eva, have you talked to the police about this?" "I have an entire task force on it" He took her by the shoulders and bent down to look into her eyes "You shouldn't joke about something lik
"How's it going with your new beau?" "I'm trying to get my mind off him but it's almost impossible. Any suggestions?" "Has he fallen then?" Pippa sighed dramatically "For some reason, I thought he'd take longer. He struck me as the kind of guy who could resist your type" Eva snapped her head up "My type?" Her secretary nodded, unfazed by her sharp voice. "Rich, beautiful, independent, perfect" "He's a man after all. Isn't he?" She hadn't met anyone who could resist her charms. Mason was human and eventually, he was bound to fall for her. What she didn't understand was why he hadn't called her yet. She had purposely ignored him to see how much he cared but it had been hours since she left his house in a rush. Why hadn't he checked in on her to make sure she was fine? Or if she needed a place to stay? "What's the secret Eva? Seriously, share it with me. I'm desperate here. I need a rich boyfriend too so I can stop working. Looks don't matter" She snorted "You say that as if
"Did I interrupt your sleep?" "No. You didn't. I woke up a while ago. Miss me?" "More like worried. Are you okay? What about the stalker?" "Trashed my house but he didn't steal anything and I'm lucky I slept elsewhere or I'll be yesterday's news" "You should have told me earlier. I was worried" Mason said finally sitting down. He'd kept himself busy all day to avoid calling her every hour to check if she was fine. He wondered if that kind of thing happened often and if so, why hadn't she hired bodyguards? She was famous. Which meant she was likely to attract all sorts of people. When had the person started stalking her? He had a lot of questions but didn't think she would appreciate his probing so he kept his mouth shut. "Sorry. I was just busy trying to find a place to stay" It was too soon. He shouldn't ask but the words were out of his mouth before he knew "You could have just come to me. I have more than enough room" "Are you asking me to move in with you?" Fuck! "
"You stole a car Eva" "Not steal. Borrowed it" "Without the owner's consent. That's equivalent to stealing. What were you thinking?" "That I should get the hell out of there before fans mobbed me. Do you not know how crazy some fans can be?" "Why didn't you bring Corbin and Ledger along?" She shrugged which only made Pippa angrier "If-when this gets out, you'll deal with reporters on your own. I will not help you clean the mess up" "You say that as if it's some kind of challenge. Have you forgotten who I am?" She loved and welcomed the attention. It made her more famous than she was and raised her book sales. Whoever said there was no bad PR was definitely on to something. "Where's the owner of the car?" "He'll be here any minute" the good officer who'd pulled her over while she was returning the car answered. He was kind enough to call the owner and asked him to go to the police station. Telling them both that it would be better if they settled this out of court. She was
"Eva, did..." "I flashed your parents" "What?" "I... Oh my God, what will they think of me? Can you call them back so I can apologize? I swear I didn't know it was them. Is there a chance they were your aunt and uncle?" "I'll be right up" he said not wanting her to freak out further. He'd told his mother not to go to his house because Eva was there but she hadn't listened. He got inside the elevator inwardly groaning. They'd seen her. He would never hear the end of it. By the end of the week, all her friends and neighbors would know he was dating Evangeline Becker. After that, it was only a matter of time before everyone knew. The elevator stopped and the door slid open. His eyes went straight to the bag of groceries they'd forgotten. Dear Lord, why had they chosen that day? And why was Eva walking around naked? The surprise. That had to be the surprise she'd mentioned earlier. Picking up the groceries, he punched in the password and went inside. She was pacing back and forth
"Yes, I ran away" "Why? Is he not good in the sack? I could have sworn you were going to live in his house forever" "His prowess in the bedroom is unmatched. I don't think any man can outdo him" "So why did you run?" "Because I don't think any man can outdo him" "Make sense Eva!" Pippa snapped, frustration visible on her face. Eva felt her anger rising too. On her way in, she'd bumped into Pippa who had gone there to check if the repairs were done. She hadn't known her assistant worked so hard. It was six in the morning. "Can't you see? The fact that I think no other man can outdo him is the problem" Mason had gotten under her skin and to her surprise, she found that she didn't like it. All her other relationships had been temporary. She knew they wouldn't last long so she had no problem being with them. Hell, she'd lived with some of her boyfriends for more than six months but it was nothing compared to living with Mason. He was different. She didn't
"You don't look all that pleased to see me" "Should I?" He'd thought it was Eva. Not Alden. "Come on, I've been gone for a month. The least you can do is throw me a welcome back party" "When did you get back?" "Today. I came here first because you're the most important person in my life. You feel the same way about me too. Don't you?" Mason heard what his friend said and he would have given him a witty reply if he wasn't so distracted. All day long, he'd waited for Eva to call or text, thinking that perhaps she needed space. And when she hadn't, he called her wanting to know if she was fine but she wouldn't answer his calls. That pissed him even more because he disliked being in the dark. All she had to do was tell him why she'd left and he would understand. He wasn't about to keep her prisoner in his house. Communication was the key to a healthy relationship. Truth be told, small part of him had started wondering if she was worth the trouble. How long had they known each oth
"If that call has lasted more than five seconds, consider yourself..." "What? Fired?" Eva retorted, reminding him of the first time he'd met her. She'd changed but at the same time, she was still the same person who had changed her clothes in his office while he watched. Back then, he'd known he would never forget her. "In trouble. Who are you talking to?" She took the phone off her ear and pressed a button. A woman's voice came through "... decide which cover you want. I've emailed you the samples" "Yes, Miranda. Thank you for calling. Please email her the rest of the conversation, she'll get back to you when she isn't busy" Mason cut the call. "I still had a few questions to ask" "You were supposed to join me in the shower ten minutes ago" he said his hands busy unbuttoning the summer dress then pushing it off her shoulders. She only wore panties underneath which he also slid down her legs. On his way up, he palmed the little bump. Soon she was going to start showing. He
"Hey" she whispered through the crack in the door. "Let's go" "Where?" "Hurry up before..." Mason trailed off when he spotted someone else standing behind her. "Before what? Also, this is her sister. Eva is busy. She's not going anywhere with you" "I can't sleep without her, mom," he said ignoring a grinning Rosslyn. Sometimes he forgot Eva had a carbon copy of herself. Aside from the hair, he couldn't tell them apart. But he was confident that with time, he would be able to find that one difference between them without relying on their physical looks. "He sounds like when he was five insisting he couldn't sleep without his stuffed animal. Would you like me to put you to bed Mace?" "No, I want my wife. Stop hiding her from me" two days. He hadn't seen her for two days and he was getting antsy. It wasn't as if it was their first time getting married or sleeping in the same bed. Why were they preventing him from seeing her? "You'll get to see her tomorrow after the wedding
"A spanking?" Why did her voice sound so small? It was supposed to be sexy and seductive. It had taken her a long time to settle on that particular piece of lingerie. The lace garter covered half of her stomach which was supposed to hide her belly and make her feel confident but instead, she felt ready to bolt. Mason's eyes were on her, his gaze dark and burning. In the past, it used to make her feel empowered. Beautiful. Strong. But now, she wanted nothing more than to pull the blinds of the tall windows, so she could hide behind the dark. The sky outside was grey, lights already shining in the city below them. Eva moved towards him. Telling herself that if he loved her, he would have to accept her imperfections. She was done trying to be perfect. When she stopped beside him, he hooked a finger on the strap behind her thigh and gruffly commanded "Turn around" she obeyed, turning her back to him "Fuck Eva, your ass looks even better than I remember" she startled when his teeth sunk i
"Now what?" He'd held her as she cried, assured her there was no one else then her stomach decided it wanted food so they were sitting in her small dining room while she moved the salad she'd ordered for herself around the plate. "You should eat, Eva, and don't tell me you're not hungry" she was glad to see he was back to his bossy self. He hadn't changed one bit. He was still handsome and fit and so breathtakingly gorgeous while she'd let herself go. She didn't care what she wore, indulged too much in unhealthy food and it showed. She grabbed a salad once in a while and went worked out when she felt like it. But she was happy. After living under so much pressure, she liked not caring about her public image or what people would say. Until she saw Mason. Now all the doubts were creeping in. What if he didn't like this version of her? She'd worked on getting it back. Had been forced to peel away the so many layers she'd stacked on top of each other in order to get to that one. If he did
"Why don't they deliver?" "Their delivery guy was run over yesterday and they're looking for a new one. The guy isn't dead. He's at the hospital. Imagine how sorry they were that they felt the need to explain themselves. Poor guys" "Get to the point, Pippa" "So, yeah, that's what happened. I would pick up the food but I have an appointment with my OB/GYN. Cravings are a bitch, Eva. Please just pick up the order for me. I'll owe you big time" it sounded like bullshit. "I haven't been back for long but you're already a pain in my ass" "I love you too. I'll text you the order details. Thank you" she hung up. Eva removed the phone from her ear and stared at it. Wondering how she'd gone from Pippa's boss to her assistant. She'd ordered from the restaurant they'd gone to four days ago and she wanted her to pick it up for her because their delivery guy was unavailable. If she wasn't pregnant, Eva would have rolled her eyes and gone back to working. Shaking her head, she grabbed her
Tick. Tack. Tick. Tack. "Sir?" "Something's not right with this contract but I can't put my finger on what it is" "Shall I send it back to the legal department?" "Yeah, you do that. Tell them to find out what the problem is" he said pushing the papers away and leaning back on his chair. If he wasn't so distracted, he would have figured out what the problem was. But he couldn't concentrate on anything. Hadn't been able to do it since he bumped into Eva yesterday. It took him a moment to realize his secretary was still standing there "What is it, Marsha?" "You're still holding the pen. Is there something else I should do?" "No. Leave" "Are you sure sir?" "As sure as I am that if you don't close that door behind you in the next five seconds you'll be out of a job" "I'm right outside. Tell me if need something else" she said closing the door. Alden threw the pen on his desk and ran his hands over his face. Why had she come back? Two years had already passed and Mace was ju
"I couldn't go through with it""Why not? I'm sure they would have been happy to see you" Eva snorted "Yeah right. I'm sure anyone in their right mind would be happy to see someone who framed them and almost caused their miscarriage. Let's be real, Rossy" "I asked Linc and he said you were more than welcome to go see them. And before you lose your shit, it was a hypothetical question. He doesn't know I'm in contact with you. But he's an agent, Eva. If he wanted to find you, nothing could stop him" But he hadn't. Because he was still mad at her. "Anyway, I'll go visit them some other time" she'd gone to see them but the moment she arrived, she'd chickened out and drove away from there as if the devil was on her tail. Part of her recovery was being able to handle rejection without ape shit and she believed that she could. Just not at the moment. "Like some time this year or next year?" "Get off my case. I have stuff to unpack" she said eyeing the boxes
TWO YEARS LATER "Morning Ava" she grumbled a response, her mind miles away. But Lilly wouldn't be Lilly if she didn't jump in front of her and command her attention "I said good morning""Good morning to you too. Now can you get out of my way?" She snapped at the young woman who only smiled. Undeterred by her tone."What are you cooking up in that head of yours today? Could it be more adventures of our beloved couple?""Out of my way. I'm in a hurry""If you give me a sneak peek, I'll do your coffee run for the rest of the month""I never should have spoken to you that first day" she had been the first person to speak to her. Showing up at her door with an apple pie as a welcome to the town, then her eyes had gone round. She introduced herself and Eva made the mistake of telling her that she had a niece whose name was Lily. Since then, Lilly had taken it upon herself to introduce her to the rest of the town "Don't let her glare scare you off, she's real
"Why Mr. Adler, are you nervous?" "A little" he admitted sheepishly, feeling like a teenager who was about to do it for the first time. Only Eva could make him feel like that. They'd had sex on every surface of the apartment but it still excited him to know he would be inside her soon. Feel the way her body squeezed him and shook when she came around him. Reacquaint himself with every dip and curve. She took off her sweater laughing, making him smile. He loved it when she laughed.
