The beautiful woman knocked twice on Inspector Spencer's door when he reached her.

"Come in," she heard him authorize, and then she entered.

Arabella walked into the disorganized room. There were always some papers on the table, others thrown on the floor, and many in the cupboards.

Spencer was good at what he did, but the only mess he bothered to organize was the one the criminals made around town.

"I am surprised by your visit...without Mason" Spencer said, leaning back in his chair to get a better view of Arabella. “Do you have something for me?”

It had been a few days since she visited that police station, thanks for Mason. It was true that he was curious about her visit, trying to decipher something relevant in her face.

“Mason and I are no longer together,” she said at once.
