Chapter 49 Stubborn Lady

Fernando and Dante's POV

“You saw her? Talked to her?” Dante asked.

Fernando stood at the office window and nodded. Dante had called a meeting, wanting to speak to him.

“How is she?”

He thought about Maria Victoria. “She is nothing like any of our women.”

“No, I don’t imagine she is.”

“How?” Fernando asked. “Men have women with mistresses all the time. They are never allowed this much freedom.”

Dante fell onto the only sofa in his office. He had a glass of scotch in his hands. “I had every intention of keeping Nicole and Maria Victoria. They were part of my family, but once my wife nearly killed Nicole, I couldn’t allow it. When Nicole learned the truth, she was done with me. She never wanted me again, so I just couldn’t do it.” He sighed. “I guess that makes me weak.”

Fernando didn’t say anything. He’d never met a woman that would make him weak.

“She will never fit into our circles,” Fernando said.
