Autumn and Shanelle helped my mom with her stained mascara in the bathroom while I stayed in the living room with Bernucci. He offered me something to drink but I declined his offer. My mind was still trying to process all of this.

There was a part of me that flooded with relief because I had not proceeded with the revenge. The other part felt guilty.
