{Abebi}

I told nobody about Mac Allister buying me a phone. Even my friend Chiara was not aware. I personally made it my little secret.

It was the early hours of the morning, and a sense of anticipation lingered in the air as I picked up the cell phone gifted to me by Mac Allister. With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, I turned it on, eager to connect with my brother, whom I had lost contact with for far too long.

But as I attempted to enter his number, a wave of despair washed over me. I couldn't recall the digits; they had slipped from my memory like grains of sand through clenched fingers. Frantically searching my mind for a solution, I realized I had written his number down in my diary. However, in my distress, the diary seemed to have vanished, adding another layer of frustration to my already troubled state.

I crumpled to the floor, overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness. Tears streamed down my face as I contemplated the dire consequences of my predicament. Mac Allister

    {Mac Allister}It is both good news to me as well as bad news to me that my mum has been awake. I know I am the one she will want to see immediately. I could not leave my dons to meet her. If not the rumour of me being a mama boy would spray, I have yet to declare Abebi to them as my right-hand woman and consigliere.Abebi approached me. I gestured for her to come closer. The atmosphere in the room was filled with a sense of restlessness, and I understood the Dons' desire for some entertainment to lighten the mood. Fico's comment about the lack of entertainment resonated with me, as I realized we had been immersed in business discussions and negotiations for quite some time.Emes chimed in, emphasizing the allure of the women from Enna and their reputation for beauty and charm. His words echoed the sentiments of the other Dons, who sought to experience the pleasures that our establishment offered.In response to their requests, I turned to Abebi, placing the responsibility on her to f

She sat beside me on my bed.Her words cut through the silence, accusing me of choosing a new consigliere without her consent and disregarding the acknowledgement of Tommy and the other Dons.I sat up, my defences rising instinctively. "We don't need to rely solely on Tommy for our business dealings," I countered, trying to justify my decisions. "We have our resources and relationships with the other Dons. We are neighbours, after all."Madame Beatrice scoffed, her disappointment evident. "You are creating unnecessary enemies for us," she retorted, her voice filled with a mix of concern and frustration. I kissed Abebi on her forehead and wrapped her properly in the blanket before leaving the room.I walked to my private gymnasium, immediately I went into the gym. My eyes were met with the daily newspaper my workers normally keep there for me. I took it to read the front page. I couldn't believe what was written in it.As I pushed my body to its limits, the sweat trickling down my forehead mirrored the intensity of my focus. But even amidst the physical exertion, I couldn't escape the nagging presence of the newspaper article that had caught my attention earlier."The Allsters tried to steal Tommy business's partner." The words stared back at me from the pages, taunting me with their audacity. How could such a rumour circulate? Who would dare tarnish our reputation in such a manner?I couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration. Our position in the underworld was precarious enough, and now this unwelcome news threate
