Ian's POV

"The fundraising party was worth it, don't you think?" I asked Amelia with a smile while driving past the pack's border.

"It sure was, because Lexi got to meet another powerful witch, and we got to make Alpha Jace our friend," she answered, then smiled back.

I didn't like Jace because I had heard a lot about him. He wasn't the same now that he had an Alpha mate. His past ways were similar to mine. I heard he had a lover while he abused his mate until she died right in front of his eyes. That was his turning point because he lost his mind for quite some time.
