EVANORA'S POV

"And that's a wrap for today."

Matthew announced the words I've been craving to hear ever since we started the training for the day and then helped me up. It had been three days already and as the days went by, my ending up on my butt a few minutes after training began was becoming a more natural thing to happen.

Staggering then getting up, I massaged my wrist and managed to stretch my sore back. I was beginning to get used to the pain though and I couldn't really tell if that was to be a good thing.

At every training, I'd spot my father watching me from far across like I was some sort of entertainment. More often than not, he'd hold a glass of wine, sipping its contents at intervals while I did nothing but get beat up.

Did all kings really take pleasure in watching their daughters get beaten up?

Yet another thing I'd gotten used to. Though it had been just three days I'd gotten used to him being at my training. I trained three times a day. Three times! It wasn't a meal

BLADE'S POVThree fucking days!It had been three days since I last saw her and God, I missed her. I missed her presence, I missed her smell, I missed her smile, her taste- fucking everything about her.How could she do that to me? I wasn't even mad. I was more worried and at that, I had gone to the nearest human town to search for her but she was nowhere to be found. Her apartment which did nothing but bring back pleasurable and painful memories was empty and no one around seemed to know where she had been.Maybe the next human town, I thought and acting on my thoughts, I traveled to the next human town. And the next one. And the next one after that until I was certain she wasn't in any of them. For fuck's sake I hated going to those humans' town but if I got to see her in the end, it was worth it.But apparently,y it wasn't.The woods weren't left out. I roamed the woods like a lunatic. Searching every corner, raising every leaf and making sure to leave no stone unturned but still

EVANORA'S POV.It was morning and under normal circumstances, I was to be getting prepared for breakfast and then training. But there was nothing normal about my circumstance. I missed him. Way more than I should have.I tied my hair up into a neat bun and headed for the door. I opened it slowly, looking around the corridors to check if anyone was around or looking at me and on seeing none, stepped out of my room. From the few days I'd spent with the king, one thing I noticed about him was how he never skipped breakfast. He was always right on time in the dining and then waited for my arrival before starting his breakfast. He was going to be in for a very long wait today.Trying to be as natural as possible, I walked down the stairs. People were roaming around the palace but pretending to not see any of them, I quickened my steps and in no time was out of the palace. As soon as I was sure I was as far enough from the palace to not get caught, I began running. My spirit felt free as I

EVANORA'S POVI literally ran back home.Plunging through the woods, my legs carried me as fast as possible, assisting me to get out of the forest and make my way back to the Grimaldi Dynasty. For some reason, the path seemed longer and the day just seemed to fall even faster."Shit," I muttered as I noticed it was already getting real dark, still not pausing my race. I'd left the house since early morning and it was no exaggeration to expect the king to be burning with rage. Not only had I skipped breakfast, but I'd also skipped all my training. Without a word of farewell at that.I grunted out. It was their fault I couldn't tell them where I was headed, not mine. It was their fault I was stuck and it was totally their fault for not being able to understand I was mated to a werewolf."Those stupid rules," I cursed under my breath, unable to direct my anger and frustration toward anyone in particular. "Fuck those stupid rules."After minutes of sulking and venting my anger to no one b

What happened to me?The last thing I could remember was..."Oh my God," my eyes shot open as I immediately jumped up from my bed, my hands traveling to my neck. I felt fine. It was fine. Not broken or snapped into two.I looked around me and realized I was in my room. I could barely remember me getting into bed as goosebumps crawled towards my skin, memories of the previous night flooding my brain.Just what the hell happened to me and for how long have I been asleep?Tap, tap, tap.The sound wasn't stopping and I knitted my eyebrows again, this time in frustration. I looked around me, wondering where the annoying sound was coming from.I turned my head and as I did, I heard the sound become louder and more distinct. But at the same time, he couldn't be blamed. My schedule for the past week had been the same. I spent half of my day training like a lunatic and the other half trying to get used to drinking blood in between meals. It was torture and though I still completely hated the idea, I was slowly getting used to drinking blood. I wasn't even offered a choice as my dad watched me during every meal, ensuring I emptied the filled glass of blood at one attempt.I was slowly becoming one of them and quicker than my mind, my body was getting used to it.My morning was no different with me waking up, getting refreshed, and then heading downstairs for breakfast. BLADE'S POVI certainly had no doubts Evanora was on a mission to ruin me.Why make promises you couldn't keep? Why say things you didn't mean?I groaned again at the thought of how she had promised to come to see me the following day only to not show up and one week later, still leaving no traces of herself.Fine, I admit I said I wasn't going to pressure her. I was going to give her time to adjust and get used to it. But when I uttered those words, I didn't mean giving her time to herself without me being in the fucking picture! The past week without her had passed very slowly. So slowly it was hard to believe the whole universe wasn't on a mission to make the days longer to worsen my torture.I tried to get used to it but I just couldn't. His gaze was fixed on me as he drew even closer, getting rid of whatever distance was left between us."You look," he exhaled. "Very beautiful. And alluring. • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   TILL ETERNITY

Three weeks later… “Evanora, would you at least have breakfast before you leave?” “For the hundredth time, dad, I can’t,” I replied my dad with a sigh. “I’ve spent a whole week here already. I need to return home.” Home. I smiled as the words escaped my lips. I could finally call Blade’s pack my home. I could finally proudly call myself a member of their pack. Not just as a regular member but as the Luna. I spent the past few weeks after our marriage shuffling between his pack and our coven. It was just as hectic as we imagined as I was constantly needed as Luna and at the same time, the vampire princess. The past week was the most hectic as I had to spend the whole week at our coven. There were tons of events I had to attend, and tons of matters to address and they just kept on increasing, everyone forgetting I was to be on my honeymoon after getting married in not the smoothest manner to the love of my life. It was finally going to pause though as after spending a week alone

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   GETTING IT DONE WITH

BLADE’S POVWe literally ran back to the palace, the same thing evidently on both of our minds. Evanora. My Evanora. I couldn’t afford to lose her. I just couldn’t. Silently praying as I ran, I recalled the arrow hitting her right by her heart. Fear gripped me at the thought of her not being fine. She needed to stay strong. I needed her to. My breathing became heavier as I ran. Oddly, the palace seemed to be longer as after what seemed to be hours of running, we still hadn’t gotten there. After seeming like forever, we finally arrived at the palace. Side by side, we rushed towards the garden the ceremony was being held. Tearing through the crowd as we got there, we rushed towards the podium to see Evanora was no longer there. “Where’s she?!” I and the king asked in unison, the fear and worry evident in our voices. “Where is she?” “She’s in one of the tents with the witch.” Mumbling our thanks, we rushed towards the tent pointed at. Taking the lead, I ran and on getting to the

BLADE’S POV“Evanora!” My yell was the loudest it had ever been as I rushed towards her, watching her slump onto the ground. No, no. I shook my head. It couldn’t be happening. I felt my whole world shatter to the ground as she slumped in front of me. We were about to get married. We were about to go through the last ritual so it made no sense she was suddenly shot by an arrow.“Evanora,” I cried out to her, holding her close to me. I stared at her in horror, watching blood pour off her chest. Whoever shot her must have practiced well enough as the arrow hit her right by her heart. “No, Evanora. Please stay with me.”The whole crowd was thrown into a frenzy. It was too terrifying to be true. Not only had someone dared to shoot the princess, but they had also dared to do it at t her wedding. Holding her close to me, I was suddenly consumed by rage. How dare whoever it was trying to hurt her? Swearing on my life, I vowed silently to find whoever it was and have him or have to feel th

EVANORA’S POV A smile appeared on my face as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. It was finally the day. The day I spent the past week counting down to. The day I’d been anticipating ever since I realized I was in love with Blade. It was finally my wedding day I was dressed in a white gown, a bouquet of red roses in my hands. My hair was styled prettily, my makeup was done perfectly and I knew I looked beautiful. I could only imagine how dashing Blade was going to look in the suit we had chosen together, the image of both of us standing close to each other playing in my mind and having my smile even wider. The past few days had been hectic with literally the whole coven preparing for my wedding alongside me. Wolves from Blade’s pack had also freely entered our coven and vice versa, everyone is happy. My dad for one seemed the happiest. He actively took part in the preparations for the wedding as he was always busy around. A lot had to be done and a lot had to be changed too a

EVANORA’S POV“You have met my Beta once already, right??” I nodded as me and Blade walked out of his office to head to his home. Both excited with the way things were finally turning out, he was about to introduce me to everyone all over again. “Yeah,” I nodded to him. “Why?” “I don’t care,” he playfully replied. “I’m going to introduce you to him all over again. Officially, this time. As my Luna.”I blushed as I had been doing every single time he called me his Luna. The title still felt foreign to me and extremely exciting. “Alright.” Hands intertwined, we climbed down the stairs to step into a wide hall. Taking a couple of steps more, we walked into a corridor and after more walking; we were in front of a room.“Is this his room?” I got the answer to my question as he placed a knock on his door, calling out to him as he did. Initially, all we got in response was silence but after a while of more knocking, the door was finally open.“Were you asleep?” Compared to Blade’s smi

I could tell she was still worried about me not healing fully before heading back to my pack. I was fine though and as much as I wanted to do nothing but lay in her arms under the guise of taking my time to heal, I knew I needed to return to my pack.I could only imagine the frenzy the whole pack must have been thrown in without me being around. They must have been so confused and lost on what to do. After all, their Alpha was suddenly in captivity. It must have been hard for them all, especially Adam. I could only imagine how worried he was going to know there was almost nothing he could do. With me being in captivity, they couldn’t risk waging war against them. Especially since I voluntarily gave in.Thus, I was left with no choice but to return home to inform them I was w

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   A GLIMPSE

EVANORA’S POV The past two days went by very quickly with me barely leaving Blade’s side throughout. After the whole very dramatic event ended with Blade accepting to get us married in a week, he slumped and finally collapsed. It was only natural for it to happen, given how much torture he had been under for the past week alongside the insane amount of wolf's bane that was injected into his system. He was immediately moved to the infirmary, and the best doctor around began to treat him. Though he had been responding to all the treatment he was receiving, he had spent the past two days in bed, taking his time to heal while I did nothing but watch him closely. I was overjoyed. Despite him being unwell and unable to celebrate with me, I still felt extremely happy. It was all over. We were finally going to be able to stay together. A light blush crept towards my cheek as I recalled how he accepted to get us married. It felt like a dream. I was finally going to be getting married to

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   CHANTS

EVANORA’S POV The chants from the crowd were getting louder with every passing second, my tears not stopping as they freely rolled down my cheeks. My dad’s guards were frozen, conflicted on what to do considering how torn the crowd had quickly become. Desperately, I turned my head in my dad’s direction to look at him. His eyes looked just as desperate as mine, containing an element of fear in them. Of course, he was to be scared. He could tell I wasn’t joking and knew even his slightest actions could cause him to lose his only child at that moment. “Please,” I whispered to him. “Please, dad.” We locked gazes for a while, both doing nothing but pleading with our eyes. I felt hopeless and after a couple more seconds of my dad staring, he looked away. “Silence!” At his words, the bubbling crowd became silent, everyone immediately shifting their attention toward him. Sparing me another glance, he walked towards the podium, looked at the crowd, and took a deep exhale. My heartbeat
