Sebastian’s POV Finally, Jasmine was already in my grasp and definitely, very soon, she would be at my mercy. I sneered. There were a thousand and one ways to slay your enemies, and I believe that right now. I didn't have to get the lady I was so obsessed about in the local way of winning her over but using an indirect means to get what I so much desired. Who would have thought that with the way Jasmine was so stubborn like a bee protecting her precious hive, she would be caught up in my web? And it was even much fun when she was still ignorant. I enjoyed watching her dance recklessly in my web, unaware that she got trapped the more. “yeah, I love this,” I smirked, watching them feature in my exclusive show. On my screen, Asher and Jasmine paraded in front of my gate. Through my CCTV, I got every single detail, including my driver who was interrogating him. The doorbell rang, very much expected. And of course, I knew it was my driver. He was here to alert me of their arrival. I wa
JASMINE POV‘there was no place in the universe that felt like home.’ More than ever, I resonated with every one of the words like it was said because of this day. It was indeed true, there was not one place in the world that I would wish to be right now, if not home. The clean atmosphere, natural spices, and herbs... Lots of blissful things to look forward to. I leaned forward and then laid on the wound-up glass, as I watched the moving trees and houses and other pretty things go away as we got closer to home, every precious second we rode in silence. Effortlessly, I drifted to wonderland, and unlike a normal person, I didn't make any effort to be in my reality... not when the reality I saw was home. I loved it here, and I couldn't wait to finally live it through. “How are you feeling, babe?” I asked Asher genuinely. My voice was like a whisper, quite aware we had company... One we hated with so much passion. "Fine, I guess.” He replied to me almost immediately, and his smile ca
Asher's POV "Jasmine, you don't look okay,” Sebastian spoke up. I scoffed, this dude certainly had attention deficit disorder. After we shunned him, this was the first time he was speaking up, so we all know he was still alive. Crap. That was the best word to describe what he just said, and I was happy both Jasmine and I ignored him like he never spoke. There was nothing that literally bruised one's ego as silence and ignoring. “Is there something you would love me to do?” He kept at it like he didn't know we just paid him deaf ears... Jasmine, actually. “Can you stop it?” I was already irritated by his persistent behavior. It was all too annoying, jeez! “Pardon me?” Sebastian scoffed. He sounded ready for a fight. “You should quit this act already, it looks ugly on you.” I sighed afterward. "Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do?" He fired back. There was no backing out, if there was anyone walking out with his head bowed in shame, it would have to be him. For all I ca
Jasmine's POV In split seconds, my anxiety is replaced with bliss. I was close to home and I knew it. More than ever, the urge to be in my father's arms and be his baby girl one more time, grew stronger. This was beyond feeling nostalgic, this was sulking... for lack of a better word. I was only a few seconds to my breakthrough but I was already too impatient to see it through. I wanted to feel him here and now, and if I didn't in the next second, I could have broken down, that was how homesick I was. If I could be this fragile, what was I expecting of Emily, my little baby? This feeling somehow triggered the mother hen side of me. I knew Emily and her brothers did well putting up with their aunt and uncle, Rylee and Liam, but I couldn't help but wonder if they missed me as much as I missed my father. “Damn, I miss you papa.” I suppressed a sob, so I wouldn't want to attract Asher or Sebastian’s pity. I was tired of being seen as a big baby. For a long, I so much longed to handle t
Jasmine’s POV “Please, stay... Don't leave your parent anymore. We promise to protect you.” The speed at which he spoke, made his words melt on each other like ice cream. I kept mute and was thrown off balance for a second. To be frank, this was a huge promise and a costly one too. But then, I didn't want to make him feel sad, not when I just arrived and he was just touching me and sniffing me after ages. For the sake of his happiness, I will agree and explain this to him much later. “I promise,” I mumbled, hoping Asher was ignorant of what just happened. It wasn't even up to an hour since we got here, and it was already feeling like hell on earth. I couldn't help but wonder what other promises he would want to make me swear to. It was odd that the man I wished to sniff and cuddle, was now a plaque I wanted to run away from so badly. If I stayed any longer, I would be forced to choose between him and Asher, with all of his ridiculous promises, and they both meant the world to me.
Sebastian’s POV “Fuck!” Jasmine yelped.Like a scared toddler, she flinched away and somehow went to stand behind Asher, it was not so obvious, but she did take a move to safety, and Asher was not joking, as his gaze burned furiously, eager to jump on me at any slightest opportunity. "Nah, it's not a good idea,” I whispered to myself, applying restraint. Initially, I wanted to take advance and walk up to Jasmine, but the venomous and stern warning from her pissed off lover made me stop midway, suddenly having a rethink of everything. “Don’t you dare!” Asher groaned, it was not so low, but loud enough to my hearing. “asshole.” I sighed and stepped aside a bit, but I didn't give any sign that I was about to back down. Matter of fact, I just started picking a fight with him, and he better has the energy to match it. I took a swift glimpse at Jasmine, and I could have sworn I saw her steal a glance at me and immediately our eyes met, she glanced away like she was never staring at me.
Jasmine's POV “What?” I scoffed when I looked at Asher. It was almost an hour since the drama in front of the lack house. I had decided to move on and act like it wasn't a bother, better out, like it never occurred. I would certainly love to figure out what happened between Sebastian and myself, just to be at peace, but just not now. Asher on the other hand was not having it, after he crowned and I restrained him from punching Sebastian in the face, he wasn't okay since then. But the truth was that the odds were so high, this was Sebastian’s freaking pack, and Asher stood a chance of being thrown off and maltreated. I didn't try to pacify him, because I didn't want to indulge his emotions, it only screamed Sebastian, and I desperately wanted to forget every damn thing about that moron. "Babe, what is it?" I asked again when he didn't respond to me after I waited for a while. “Nothing, I am just tired.” He sighed softly and merely collapsed on the bed. Nothing? It was certainly
Jasmine's POV “Babe?” Asher called out to me. Quite startled, I jolted into consciousness, almost knocking off the trolley of sweat and hard work of the loveliest mother in the world. “What's keeping you?” He was half yelling. For the last time, I took a quick glance at the note, trying to be stable and make sense of what Sebastian said... Was it a threat or just been funky? Looking down at the paper with all of my interest, I mumbled the words to my hearing alone. ‘Sir Carter decided to throw you a party, you should get ready, your welcome party begins in three hours... Be assured to see more of me.’Shit! I sighed, not making any iota of sense to what the moron penned on paper. Defeated, I tore the paper into tiny irreconcilable shreds, haphazardly squeezed it, and threw it into the waste bin by the side of the door. “Babe, do you need me to come over? I can't help you out...” This time, his voice grew stronger. I was certain he had climbed out of bed and was approaching me.
Jasmine's POV "Welcome, Alpha Finley!" My mother excitedly welcomed the guests and even though there were ushers all over the place, she still made it her duty to welcome people, especially her special guests; allies of our packs, noble alphas, and a few old buddies. Today was the final day Asher would be coronated as Alpha of his pack and the merging of our packs together. My parents made a long list of guests they would invite. I, Liam, and Rylee on the other hand just received soft treatment, ate, and enjoyed the weekend. Their presence in the pack and hospital had relieved me of stress. Liam made sure a few agents I sent partnership deeds to collaborate with me. He also helped in the hospital and took on the role of training intern doctors. Rylee wasn't left out, she took care of the kids a few times and helped with the non-medical management of the hospital. She was a good manager, so I made her take on the role of the head of our PR team. Alpha Finley followed my mother as
Chapter 162 Resurrection Of The Miracle Doctor Jasmine's POV "Dr. Jasmine!" A random voice screamed. I turned in the direction and found a man in his mid-thirties, groaning in pain. He nursed his left arm with his right and looked a bit battered. His shirt was torn in a few places, and so were his pants, in addition, they were dirty. "Hello," I smiled genuinely when I got to where he was standing. "Dr. Jasmine, my body aches." He groaned in severe pain. "What happened to you, if I may ask?" I began integrating him, still observing him closely. "I fell off a cliff while hiking." He said briefly. "It feels like all my bones are broken." He continued to cry out. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." I offered my sympathy. "Thank you, Dr. Jasmine." He sniffled. "Will I be able to use my arm again?" He asked genuinely. It must be a strong fall because most times our wolf abilities helped in the healing process and made it faster. If he was this concerned, then we had a lot of work to do,
Chapter 161 Multiple Blessings As A Comeback Jasmine's POV Last night was a very emotional one for us. After we spoke to Sebastian on the phone, I didn't even let the call drop before I ran like a thief into my parent's room for the second time. Initially, they were reluctant to indulge me, but when Sebastian spoke up again, they were caught up in their disbelief as they sprang up from bed, wanting to snatch the phone from me. My mother didn't mind if she was in a skimpy gown and with her mate in bed, and so did my father, and it was even better since I was the only one around. After much battle, I handed the phone over to them in tears and they spoke at length with their son, asking for forgiveness, and also pleaded that he had a change of mind and returned for the full moon holidays. Sebastian on the other hand, was quite repentant than I had figured him to be. He also apologized to his parents and myself and Asher, and we bonded like one big family. Throughout last night, my
Chapter 160 Merry Go Round Jasmine's POV "Ah!" I groaned, a loud deafening cry. Sebastian was freaking alive?! Damn it! I flung the paper from Asher's hand in disbelief... The news was a good one, but I was still living in denial, it was too good to be true. "Oh my!" I whimpered, my hands were visibly shaky. By now, my sweaty palms had left brown maps on the pure white sheet. "It's Sebastian," Asher spoke after a long pause. He was still clearly in shock like myself, if not more. Without prior thoughts, I got off the bed and rushed out of the room, headed to my parent's room. I couldn't wait to see their reaction. Even though they seemed to have moved on, it was no denying that they missed him so much. First, he was their son, their only biological child, and second, everything around them reminded them of Sebastian... The throne, food, events he was unable to meet up because of his sudden demise... They would be over the moon, I could stake my life on it. "Mother!" I cried as
Chapter 159 An Unexpected Visitor From The Past Jasmine's POV I remained in Asher's bosom as we cuddled up in bed all day. It was the full moon period and the pack were preparing for a splendid celebration. The kids were at their father's pack, they remained with their grandparents after the visit to his pack to show me the surprise. It was already a week after that wonderful day, and I had yet to fully shake off it. Who would have expected? From day one, I knew Asher's love was unbeatable but I never saw that coming. He kept raising the bar over and over again every freaking day. I finally get to be a doctor, I finally get to live in my dreams all day without fear of waking up from it prematurely! Damn! "I just called the manager in charge of the construction." Asher dropped the phone and played with my hair, running his hand through it and lacing multiple strands around his fingers. "Okay?" I titled my chin upward so it was leaning directly on his bosom. I was so invested in
Asher's POV "Babe!" I got into the bedroom and dived into it, missing her by an inch. "Jeez!" She exclaimed and adjusted swiftly, preventing the wrecking of her toes and limbs. "What was that for?" She frowned, looking at me sternly like she would kill me with her gaze if she could. "I'm sorry," I chuckled. "I'm just super excited for you," I added. "For me?" She rolled her eyes in a 'what for?' way. "So, you know that I keep going to my pack every weekend, huh?" I waited for her to respond and she nodded her head in affirmation. "The thing is that I have a surprise for you." I finished, the excitement palpable in my voice. "You need to see it!" I beamed. "In your pack?" "Yup." I nodded furiously, with a goofy grin plastered across my cheeks. "Nah," She frowned, collapsing back in the bed. "I'm tired." She grumbled."Up, up." I spanked her hips. "We have to get going, time is not on our side." I urged her. "Which is why I can't go." She sighed. "The day is far gone, you can
Chapter 157 A New Chapter Jasmine's POV Two Years Later. Asher went to his pack for the weekend. Like me, he had accepted to become the alpha, but he just did recently, and it was because he was rendering a helping hand and solid support to me. Together, we helped my parents, and never did we stop treating them like family, because they deserved much more than we could give. "Mum? I can't find Penny." Emily cried in frustration. "Have you checked around?" I waited for her to respond and she nodded. "Maybe check the garden? She may be in love with nature.""Not really," She frowned. "I doubt she will be outside, I didn't let her out." She sighed. "You could ask the servants to help you out... respectfully," I added. "Okay." She shrugged and bobbed out.I laughed shortly as I watched her leave. The kids had moved down to the pack with us, as we couldn't leave them with Liam and Rylee for a long period of time. Initially, they were sad, as they had changed schools for the umptee
Chapter 156 The Saving Jasmine's POV I remained curled up in bed, still in a beaten state. It had been days since Sebastian's death and we were yet to shake off the sad reality... There was no getting of this ill fate. Asher came into the room, holding a cup of tea on a saucer. He looked pretty much stressed, the whole household was practically in distress. Neither I nor Asher got to play with the kids like we used to, or even make them the nice meals we usually do. Although Asher tried his best to be present, it would never be the same as it used to be. Our existence of late was basically bland and without flavor. The kids only went to school, are and remained in their room, the only person that managed to escape the claws of boredom was Emily as she had Penny. Their grandparents were even more grieved than me. "Babe, you should have something in your system." He set the cup of tea beside me and sat at the foot of the bed, just close to my toes. "I'm fine," I brushed his offer
Jasmine's POVIt was an early Saturday morning, I was sorting out dirty clothes in the hamper as I prepared to do the laundry. This was something I hated about weekends, I basically had to do all of what I wasn't able to do during weekdays and there was no way I would leave the laundry till the upper week. Since my parents got discharged from the hospital, we agreed to allow them to stay with us for about three months and see how things go. Next week would make it three months, and so far, they were going perfectly, especially for my father who was seriously ill. And next, I would make food for the kids and my parents. Jeez! It was overwhelming. Not like Asher wasn't helping, but I just got lazy over the week. Plus, Asher went out to do some inquiries for the new company he was starting, which meant he would not be home anytime soon and when he returned, it's proper he gets fed. "Mum?!" I heard the kids scream. I sighed loudly, partly irritated. They would never cease to annoy me
