Nora’s POV

“Aren’t we going to take anything? Because we are going to need supplies if we want to survive out there,” Asher asked as we ran across the lawn. Pain throbbed and burned in my ankle, but I suppressed the discomfort.

“No, we don’t need to take anything from these heartless people,” I answered. “We have to go back to that motel and—” Matteo cut in.

“No! Mom, I don’t want to go back to that cheap motel, it’s hell there. I would rather stay here even if I don’t want to see that man who calls himself our father.” Matteo whined and I clucked my tongue against my teeth.

“You should have at least let me finish. We are going back to the motel to get my car, and after that, we are going to get your real grandmother and take her out of this pack for good.” I explained.

Surprise flickered in their eyes, followed by a happy smile. I felt awful for not telling them about my mother, not even once, but I thought it would be best to hide it from them because of my dark past.

WARNING THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS A DESCRIPTIVE SEX SCENE, IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT YOU CAN SKIP IT. Author’s POV Alicia knocked on Rick’s door. Her heart was pounding against her ribs like a hammer. She had something to tell him and hadn’t seen him all morning. She waited for a few minutes, but there was no answer. She knocked again, louder this time, hoping he was not asleep. The door opened, but not to reveal Rick. An omega, a redhead, blue-eyed one, greeted her instead. She wore nothing but a bathrobe, and her eyes were puzzled, as if she was not expecting anyone. A rush of jealousy and anger flooded Alicia. Who was this omega? What was she doing in Rick’s room? “Who are—” she opened her mouth to ask, but before she could say anything, a hand came from inside the room and wrapped around the girl’s waist. It was—it was Rick’s hand. He came into view, wearing only a pair of jeans. He stood next to the omega, his arm still around her. His eyes widened, then narrowed, then

Nora’s POV “What the—” I gasped in surprise as my mother, who was using crutches, pulled me into the house and slammed the door behind us. Her face was twisted with anger and grief, and her eyes were red from crying. Before I could say anything, her clutches were already on the floor of the living room, and she was hitting me, calling me names, saying I was a murderer, and asking me why I would kill my own sister. “Mom, please, stop! You don’t know the whole story!” I cried, trying to shield myself from her blows. But she was relentless, grabbing my hair and yanking it hard. I felt a sharp pain in my scalp, and tears stung my eyes. “You killed Gina! You fucking killed her with your dirty hands! You devil spawn!” she screamed, spitting in my face. Her saliva was warm and bitter, and it made me feel sick. Anger and pain flared hot and sudden at her accusations, but I also felt sorry for her. She had lost one of her daughters, but it was not my fault. “Mom, let me go! It was an a

Nora opened her mouth to answer, but her voice got stuck in her throat like a ball of dough. The sounds of loud footsteps filled the air, and she turned and saw Leo. He was walking towards them with an angry look on his face. Her heartbeats pulsed like they were finally alive, and she ran to him, jumping into his strong arms. She hugged him tightly, whispering in his ear. “…Thank goodness you are alive. I thought something bad must have happened to you because Jack refused to tell me where you were.” Alicia watched them with a sneer and folded her hands across her chest. "Wait a minute... Don’t tell me you turned down George’s proposal because of a loser like him. Since when did you two become an item?” Relief flooded Nora’s system as she broke the hug and glared at Alicia. “If that was really the case, trust me, I would have chosen Leo without hesitation. Ge

Author’s POV Leo sprinted away from the henchmen who were chasing him down the road. He had slashed and stabbed them with his sword, but they were too stubborn to give up. He had to save Nora and the kids from the limo that was speeding away. His shirt was soaked with sweat. He glanced at the sword in his hand and tossed it aside. His eyes drifted to a bike parked in front of the convenience store, and he ran towards it. He was in luck. The key was still in the ignition. He jumped on the bike and turned it on. “Hey! That’s my bike, you motherfucker!!” Someone shouted behind him. He tilted his head and saw that it was the owner of the bike running out of the store with bags of groceries. “Sorry, man. I will bring it back to you, I promise!” Leo shouted over his shoulder as he zoomed after the limousine. He felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and saw a soda can rolling on the road. He glanced back and saw that the henchmen had hijacked a taxi and were throwing anything they co

George’s POVI was running around the packhouse with my sons, feeling their small hands in mine and hearing their giggles and squeals. We chased each other through the halls and rooms, dodging furniture and people, making a mess of everything. We didn’t care, we were having fun.A chuckle escaped my throat as they ran into the courtyard, where the sun was shining so brightly. My heart swelled at the sight of my mate. She looked stunning as always. She was wearing an orange dress that flowed around her slender body, accentuating her curves and her creamy skin.A swarm of butterflies was taking flight in my stomach. I wanted nothing but to hold her in my arms and kiss her until my lips were sore. I ran towards her, calling her name. She stretched out her hand to me, and I was about to reach it when...“Ow!!” I felt a sharp slap on my cheek, snapping me out of my dream. I opened my eyes, blinking in confusion. I was not in dreamland anymore. I was in my bedroom, lying on my bed. And the

George’s POV Tears streamed down Alicia’s face, making her mascara run. She sniffled and wiped her nose with the back of her hand. She looked pathetic, but I felt no sympathy for her. “…did you drag me into this room just to cry in my face? If not, tell me what you want, because I don’t have all the time in the world.” I declared in a cold voice. Her mouth twitched. She closed the distance between us and clutched my shirt, gazing into my eyes with a desperate expression. “… Honey, please tell me the truth. Have you ever cheated on me when we were together? I know how much you hate cheating, so answer my question.” Her question caught me off guard. Memories of that night flooded my mind. The taste of Nora’s tongue, the feel of her skin against mine. I swallowed hard to keep my shock and looked at her with a straight face. “No, I never cheated on you. You were the one that cheated on me and brought Nora to ruin our lives in the first place.” “Lies!” she screamed, and she slapped me

A warm smile pulled at my lips as I glanced at my sons, who were sleeping peacefully on either side of me.Leo was sitting across from me, devouring a burger of his own. He had a bottle of champagne in his hand instead of coke. My eyes drifted to my mother, who was also sleeping on the seat of the limo. She looked frail and sick, and I didn’t know how much time she had left.My gut twisted into knots as I recalled how I met Leo. “Hey, I know you don’t like talking when you are eating, but I have a question for you,” I said, breaking the silence. “…how did you know I was going to my mother’s house?” A muscle twitched beneath his eye, and he scratched his head. “Um, I saw you and your sons leaving the packhouse in the middle of the night,” he muttered. “I… I was curious, so I fo

Nora’s POV The leader staggered back, his nose bleeding. He roared, his eyes blazing. He lunged at Leo, his claws out. A fight broke out, a blur of fists and blood. The other warriors joined in, some of them trying to separate them and some of them cheering them on. Thick, slimy dread gnawed at my stomach as I watched them fight. I wanted to help Leo, but I was no match for the warriors. My breathing became erratic as I moved towards them, but Leo’s assistant came to my side. He grabbed my hand, pulling me back. He tried to calm me down, his voice was soothing. “Don’t worry, my lady,” he said. “My boss can handle this. He is a tough guy, after Alpha George, it’s him.” I knew he was tough, but he was outnumbered. The warriors were stronger and faster than him. They could hurt him or worse. I watched as Leo fought, his movements swift and precise. He dodged, he kicked, and he punched. He landed some hits, but he also took some. He was bleeding from his lips, his eye, and his cheek.

AUTHOR’S POV A year later, A year had passed since Nora lost Leo, bringing her to this moment, seated in the dressing room, staring at herself in a wedding dress. Mrs. Williams, who had once been a wicked mother, now stood before her, offering jewels as tokens of acceptance and regret. The nightstand was filled with daily gifts from her and her husband, each one a silent plea for forgiveness. Nora’s gaze lingered on the jewels, her voice soft but strong. “I cannot accept these anymore,” she remarked. “Like I said before, I have already forgiven you a long time ago. These gifts aren’t necessary.” Regret formed a jagged rock in Mrs. Williams's stomach, and emotion flickered across her face. “These gifts are my punishment,” she declared. “I did a lot of awful things in the past, and I forgot that love doesn’t care about social status. The moon goddess herself would agree to that; that is why she made you my son’s mate. And no one is more suited for him than you.” The knock at the do

Leo’s parents, their faces covered with grief, stood beside her, each adding their own floral tribute. Nora turned to them, but her eyes pointed at the ground, the guilt still weighing on her. She dropped to her knees and whispered, “I’m the reason your son is gone. I took him away from you. If he hadn’t saved me, he would still be here.” But Leo’s parents would hear none of it. His mother lifted Nora gently, her voice soft yet firm. “No, honey. It was not your doing. It was the will of the moon goddess, and our son chose to save you.” His father added, “You must live for him now. Make his sacrifice meaningful.” A smile lit up his broad face, softening his harsh features. Overwhelmed by their kindness, Nora felt a tear streak down her fac

Jack busied himself with the windows, letting in light to compensate for the lack of electricity. Nora’s voice broke the silence. “Jack, where did you and George disappear to for all those months? And why did you guys make everyone think you were dead?” A masculine chuckle escaped his lungs. “We didn’t fake our deaths, Nora.” He said, shaking his head. “It was a bizarre twist of fate. We were attacked on our way out of the pack, and now that I think about it, the attacker was probably Dante.” Her mind raced through a thousand questions and possibilities. “That does make sense. Dante would want George out of the way to make kidnapping the kids easier. He must have seen him as a threat.” She muttered and frowned a little. “I still can’t believe George left the pack behi

AUTHOR’S POV The day dawned crisp and clear as the sun poured through the streets. Alicia stormed into the grocery store, her presence as chilling as the ski mask that covered her face. The assault rifle in her grip was not just a weapon, but a representation of her desire to kill. “Put your hands where I can see them,” she hissed at the store owner, who obeyed with a tremble. “Please don’t kill me, I just opened, I haven’t earned any money!” He pleaded, but his plea for mercy fell on deaf ears. A cold laugh escaped Alicia’s throat and echoed in the cramped space. “I don’t want your money, old man, I just need to grab some supplies.” She replied and obtained a coil of rope from one of the shelves. She kept the man caged in the sights of her rifle as she closed the distance. “Stay here and don’t make a sound, if you try to act smart, I will have no option but to kill you,” she threatened as she used the rope to tie his hands behind him, securing him to the shelf like a display of h

I’m securing our son’s legacy; I am no longer turning my back on him,” he replied, sincere regret laced in his voice as he looked her in the eyes. “I shouldn’t have... I shouldn’t have supported the council. Rick must be Alpha again. I cannot let our line fade; after all, I went through it to keep it in our family.” She shook her head, her hand darting out to seize the document from his grasp. “Stop this madness,” she begged, her voice rising. “You are losing yourself in this grief. The walls of the rooms whispered memories of laughter and learning, and though he was firm in his decision, a part of him mourned the awaiting goodbye to the children he had come to adore. The sound of footsteps snapped him back to reality. He peeked outside his room to see his boss walking purposefully towards the office. He took a deep breath and secured the zipper on his bag. A pit formed in his stomach as he grasped the resignation letter that lay on the nightstand. George entered his boss's office just in time to overhear a phone conversation about him. “Like I said earlier, it’s unprofessional for a teacher to date a parent of the kid he teaches.” His boss said in a serious tone. “I’m sorry, but no amount of money can make me help you. I respect the privacy of my teachers and stay out of their personal lives."

  • THE ALPHA'S REJECTED TWINS   CH. 142 THE SHOWER

AUTHOR’S POV They stepped into the shower area, and the sounds of bare feet stepping on the tile were getting louder and louder as they made it under one of the shower heads. The shower area itself was just a single room, blocked by a small door. There was no cover between the five or six showers, so they both had plenty of space to mess around and get each other clean. The whole shower room was tiled, so the two would have to try hard not to fall over because of how slippery everything was. “I have always wanted to do this with someone, but I haven’t had a proper girlfriend in a long time.” His voice was silky as velvet. The guard pushed Alicia against the cold tiled wall, his body squishing up against hers. Her nipples were hard and almost carved into his chest, but he didn't care. Her breasts squeezed and contoured around his chest as they both continued kissing. Their legs were moving constantly, trying to find a good footing, before eventually finding a good rhythm.
