Alpha George’s POV

I groaned in anger as I read the results given to me by Alicia. It was afternoon in my room, and the sun was shining through the window. The result still said she wasn’t pregnant, and her womb was weak. It had been nine years, and there was still no progress. My parents had already turned their backs on me, and it was five days until they dethroned me. I threw the paper on the floor and kicked the chair.

“Shit!” I cursed.

Knight whistled in my head. “If only you would swallow your fucking pride and go out there to look for our mate, by now we would be playing with our sons.” He remarked, he had never missed the opportunity to remind me of the past, and sometimes I wondered if what I did was the right thing.

“Shut your trap!” I yelled at him.

“Telling me to shut up won’t change the fact that your life is going nowhere, and you are too stubborn to admit it! Why don’t you go look for our mate and bring our sons here? Maybe that way the pack won’t remove you from t

Nora’s POV I couldn’t believe what was happening. I stood in front of my neighbor’s house, surrounded by flashing lights and nosy reporters. They were all here because of the Claw Killer. He had struck again the night before, and this time he had killed my neighbors. I had seen their bodies. They were lying on their bed, their eyes wide open in horror. Their necks were cut open, and their chests were torn apart. I had been the one who heard the screams, but by the time Zane arrived with his colleagues, the killer was gone, and so were the lives of the couple next door. Although I didn’t know them that much, it hurt like hell. They didn’t deserve to be mutilated and butchered like animals. I felt sick to my stomach as I snapped the remaining photos of the crime scene. I was about to go inside the house when Zane came out of the front door. He looked grim and tired, his suit stained with blood. He sighted me and walked towards me, pushing through the crowd of reporters and curious on

Alpha George’s POV I jolted awake from a nightmare, feeling a cold sweat on my forehead. I reached out to Alicia, but the bed was empty. We fought last night, but we always made up before going to sleep. She wouldn’t leave me, would she? I turned on the lamp and got off the bed, feeling a pang of anxiety. "Sweetheart, where are you?” I called out to her through telepathy, but there was no answer. She must have blocked me. Why? I walked out of our room and down the dark hallway, following her scent with my wolf senses. It was faint, but unmistakable. She had been here not long ago. But where did she go? I stopped in front of a door. It was—it was Rick's door. Why would she go there? Unless... No, no, it couldn't be. She wouldn't do that to me. She loved me. A moan came from inside the room—a familiar moan. A moan that used to be mine. I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to confront them. I slammed my fist against the door, making it shake on its hinges. I heard a gasp from inside,

Alpha George’s POV My father calmly lowered his rifle and looked at me with a cold expression. “George, follow me. We have to talk.” He said, ignoring Alicia, who was still on the bed, sobbing and clutching the sheets. I followed him out of the room, leaving behind the blood and tears. The guards had already taken my brother’s body away, dragging him like a sack of potatoes. We walked down the dark corridors, past the other rooms where warriors were guarding. They looked at us with curiosity and fear, knowing that something was wrong. They whispered amongst themselves, but no one dared to ask any questions. My father led me to his office, a large and luxurious room with a desk, a sofa, a fireplace, and a wall full of trophies. He closed the door behind us and locked it. He gestured for me to sit on the sofa, while he placed his rifle on his desk and sat on it facing me. He took a deep breath and said, “Son, this morning the pack council is going to decide if you are going to conti

Alpha George’s POV I glared at him and said, “…I mean, I don’t accept this decision. I don’t accept Rick as the alpha. I am still the alpha, I am not giving up this position.” The leader shook his head. “George, you have to accept the will of the council. They have voted, and they have chosen Rick. He is the new alpha, and you will have to respect that.” He said in a rumbling tone. I snorted. “Respect? What respect? You have no respect for the law of the pack.” He raised his eyebrows. “The law? What are you talking about?” he asked, confused. I smiled, knowing I had a trump card. “The law says the alpha must have an heir before he can inherit the title and his power, and he must have a bloodline to continue his legacy,” I said and continued. “I will cut to the chase; I have an heir, and he was bore to me by my mate.” Everyone gasped and started whispering among themselves. Rick looked confused and nervous. “What are you talking about, brother? You don’t have an heir, your fiancé

Nora’s POV I peeled another apple and placed it on the tray next to the hospital bed. The room was small and dim, with a window overlooking the city. The only sounds were the beeping of the machines and occasional footsteps in the hallway. The female cop lying there looked pale and weak, but she still managed to smile at me. “Thank you, Nora. You are very kind.” She said in a raspy voice. I shook my head. “No, thank you. You saved my life. You are the one who is kind.” She waved her hand dismissively. “It was nothing. Anyone in my position would have done the same. You don’t have to stay here with me, go home to your kids, they need you more than I do.” She muttered. I frowned. “I can’t leave you alone, you are hurt, and you need someone to look after you.” She heaved a sigh, sounding tired. “I’m fine. Really. My boyfriend will be here any minute. He will take care of me.” I bit my lower lip. I didn’t like the way she said that. There was something in her tone that made me unea

Alpha George’s POV I was fucking done with her, I couldn’t stand the sight of her clothes in my closet anymore. The ones she wore when she kissed me goodbye when she said she loved me, and when she lied to me, I grabbed them all and threw them into the luggage that Jack was holding for me. He knew what I was going through. He didn’t say anything, he just helped me get rid of her stuff. I moved to the nightstand and saw her perfume, the one that used to drive me crazy. I picked it up and sprayed it on myself, hoping to feel something. But all I felt was anger and disgust. I tossed it into the luggage and swept the rest of her things with my arm. Her makeup, her jewelry, and her hairbrush All the things that reminded me of her. Jack zipped up the luggage and was about to take it out when we heard the door slam. We turned around and saw her standing there, looking shocked and confused. She had a guilty look on her face, the one she always had when she knew something was wrong. “Alici

Nora’s POV I was sitting behind my desk, watching the CCTV footage that was in front of the toilet at the police station. I was watching the video of the man who attacked me. He was wearing a ski mask that covered his face, so I couldn’t tell who he was, but there was something about his build. I could swear he was someone I knew, but I couldn’t place my hand on it. My office was a mess, but I liked it that way. It was filled with clues and pictures of different crimes, some solved, some unsolved. They were pinned to the walls, stacked on the shelves, and scattered on the floor. The sun was shining through the window, casting warm light on my face. It was a beautiful day, but I was livid about the fact that the cops still hadn’t caught the man in the video. I took a sip of my coffee next to me and was still looking at the video when a loud noise from outside my office caught my attention. I sauntered out of my office to see what was happening and was surprised to see my big boss,

He grabbed my finger from his chest and kissed it softly with his plump lips. “Anything for you, baby," he whispered in a seductive voice and winked at me. I felt a thousand butterflies in my stomach, and a tingling sensation ran through my finger. I pulled my hand out of his grip and picked up his coffee from the desk, handing it to him. “Take, leave, we are going to talk about this later, okay?” I asked, looking into his eyes. He collected the coffee from me. He turned and walked out of the office without looking back. I knew he was still trying to be patient with me, but I had no idea if I wanted to be in a relationship right now, not with all this shit happening. I was about to scatter the pictures when my phone rang. The loud ringing broke the silence. I picked it up without

AUTHOR’S POV A year later, A year had passed since Nora lost Leo, bringing her to this moment, seated in the dressing room, staring at herself in a wedding dress. Mrs. Williams, who had once been a wicked mother, now stood before her, offering jewels as tokens of acceptance and regret. The nightstand was filled with daily gifts from her and her husband, each one a silent plea for forgiveness. Nora’s gaze lingered on the jewels, her voice soft but strong. “I cannot accept these anymore,” she remarked. “Like I said before, I have already forgiven you a long time ago. These gifts aren’t necessary.” Regret formed a jagged rock in Mrs. Williams's stomach, and emotion flickered across her face. “These gifts are my punishment,” she declared. “I did a lot of awful things in the past, and I forgot that love doesn’t care about social status. The moon goddess herself would agree to that; that is why she made you my son’s mate. And no one is more suited for him than you.” The knock at the do

Nora stood by Leo’s grave, her hand trembling as she placed a lily on top of the polished wood of his coffin. Leo’s parents, their faces covered with grief, stood beside her, each adding their own floral tribute. Nora turned to them, but her eyes pointed at the ground, the guilt still weighing on her. She dropped to her knees and whispered, “I’m the reason your son is gone. I took him away from you. If he hadn’t saved me, he would still be here.” But Leo’s parents would hear none of it. His mother lifted Nora gently, her voice soft yet firm. “No, honey. It was not your doing. It was the will of the moon goddess, and our son chose to save you.” His father added, “You must live for him now. Make his sacrifice meaningful.” A smile lit up his broad face, softening his harsh features. Overwhelmed by their kindness, Nora felt a tear streak down her fac

AUTHOR’S POV The afternoon sun streamed through the open windows, brightening the inside of the lab. Nora sat on the makeshift bed of clothes, her stomach growling in protest as she awaited George’s return with food. Jack busied himself with the windows, letting in light to compensate for the lack of electricity. Nora’s voice broke the silence. “Jack, where did you and George disappear to for all those months? And why did you guys make everyone think you were dead?” A masculine chuckle escaped his lungs. “We didn’t fake our deaths, Nora.” He said, shaking his head. “It was a bizarre twist of fate. We were attacked on our way out of the pack, and now that I think about it, the attacker was probably Dante.” Her mind raced through a thousand questions and possibilities. “That does make sense. Dante would want George out of the way to make kidnapping the kids easier. He must have seen him as a threat.” She muttered and frowned a little. “I still can’t believe George left the pack behi

But the cold was relentless, and soon the heat that followed was just as unbearable. Discomfort climbed up her spine, and heat scorched her skin. “I know you have a boyfriend, but we are in our heat period, and he is not here. You will have to ask your mate for help.” Ariana suggested in her head. “How can you suggest such a thing? If I ask him for help, he will have to have sex with me. And I can’t... I am with Leo now, and I can’t cheat on him,” she replied, with emotion roughing the syllables. “I know you don’t want to cheat on him. But this is a matter of life and death, you will die if you don’t let him help.” Ariana said in a sad tone. “I…I can’t. I just can’t. I know how much it hurts to be cheated on, I have been there a f

AUTHOR’S POV The day dawned crisp and clear as the sun poured through the streets. Alicia stormed into the grocery store, her presence as chilling as the ski mask that covered her face. The assault rifle in her grip was not just a weapon, but a representation of her desire to kill. “Put your hands where I can see them,” she hissed at the store owner, who obeyed with a tremble. “Please don’t kill me, I just opened, I haven’t earned any money!” He pleaded, but his plea for mercy fell on deaf ears. A cold laugh escaped Alicia’s throat and echoed in the cramped space. “I don’t want your money, old man, I just need to grab some supplies.” She replied and obtained a coil of rope from one of the shelves. She kept the man caged in the sights of her rifle as she closed the distance. “Stay here and don’t make a sound, if you try to act smart, I will have no option but to kill you,” she threatened as she used the rope to tie his hands behind him, securing him to the shelf like a display of h

AUTHOR’S POV In the dimly lit villa, Mrs. Williams’s entrance was as fast as lightning, her flip-flops discarded as she stopped at the sight of her husband. Mr. Wiliams sat rooted on the couch, a sea of documents spread before him on the table. Her eyebrows shot to the ceiling as she leaned over the papers. “W-What are you doing?” she inquired. Mr. Williams looked up, a dark smile playing on his lips, shadowed by the room’s gloom. “These are petitions I gathered from the pack members. I’m securing our son’s legacy; I am no longer turning my back on him,” he replied, sincere regret laced in his voice as he looked her in the eyes. “I shouldn’t have... I shouldn’t have supported the council. Rick must be Alpha again. I cannot let our line fade; after all, I went through it to keep it in our family.” She shook her head, her hand darting out to seize the document from his grasp. “Stop this madness,” she begged, her voice rising. “You are losing yourself in this grief. Guards hustled across the yard, their faces covered with concern, while the urgent wail of alarms pierced the air. He watched closely as two guards emerged, dragging a protesting couple out of the prison’s grand gates. “Come back another time! Visiting hours are over!” One guard barked, tossing the woman’s bag to her feet with a dismissive flick of his wrist. The woman, her face painted with frustration and desperation, clutched her bag tightly. “Why are you being so unfair? Visiting hours end at 10 p.m., and it’s only 7 p.m.,” she pleaded, her voice cracking. “I haven’t seen my niece in ages! The walls of the rooms whispered memories of laughter and learning, and though he was firm in his decision, a part of him mourned the awaiting goodbye to the children he had come to adore. The sound of footsteps snapped him back to reality. He peeked outside his room to see his boss walking purposefully towards the office. He took a deep breath and secured the zipper on his bag. A pit formed in his stomach as he grasped the resignation letter that lay on the nightstand. George entered his boss's office just in time to overhear a phone conversation about him. “Like I said earlier, it’s unprofessional for a teacher to date a parent of the kid he teaches.” His boss said in a serious tone. “I’m sorry, but no amount of money can make me help you. I respect the privacy of my teachers and stay out of their personal lives."

AUTHOR’S POV They stepped into the shower area, and the sounds of bare feet stepping on the tile were getting louder and louder as they made it under one of the shower heads. The shower area itself was just a single room, blocked by a small door. There was no cover between the five or six showers, so they both had plenty of space to mess around and get each other clean. The whole shower room was tiled, so the two would have to try hard not to fall over because of how slippery everything was. “I have always wanted to do this with someone, but I haven’t had a proper girlfriend in a long time.” His voice was silky as velvet. The guard pushed Alicia against the cold tiled wall, his body squishing up against hers. Her nipples were hard and almost carved into his chest, but he didn't care. Her breasts squeezed and contoured around his chest as they both continued kissing. Their legs were moving constantly, trying to find a good footing, before eventually finding a good rhythm.
