Chapter 2: Entry of the Devil King

Damian's POV~

"Neal where the fuck are you? In my office right now! " I hung up the phone without waiting for the answer from other side. Within 5 min Neal came running to my office. 

" Sorry boss. What is it? " he said while shivering, not making an eye contact.  He is a tall and muscular guy, but he gets scared of me easily, I guess... I wonder why is he too intimated by me!

Because you are intimidating, jerk!!! my wolf complained in my mind.

Shut up, Alex!!!

I immediately pushed him back. He is a nuisance sometimes...

" Where is the file of White Corporation? I need it on my desk right now. Why have you guys become such lazy asses? I think I need to start firing you one by one. " I yelled at him. 

My alpha aura sent immediate chills down his spine. 

" Oh come on Damian, just leave your innocent Beta for a while. Why do you always have to yell at him like that? He can't take it man. " my brother just entered behind him. 

" Liam how many times I have to tell you to not skip school? My office isn't a play station for you to come and enjoy. " I glared at him. But as usual my brother was immune to my aura.

I sighed! 

He laughed loud and said,  " brother please. Then who will take care for these beautiful ladies in your office?." He smirks. 

My brother was two years younger than me, still a teen. Yes yes he is a very handsome man. All a girl could demand. But I wanted him to focus on his school and practice hunting. He was the best hunter and fighter my pack had. But he still wasn't ready to become an Alpha and start his pack. Honestly I don't want him to indulge in these things so soon. 

I ignored him and again yelled at my Beta to go and bring files. Meanwhile I  indulged myself in work.

 Work. Yes. It was the only thing in my life. I drowned myself in work day and night. I didn't like going to bars and parties. And definitely didn't  like girls. My mother asked me to wait for my girl. My fated MATE. She believed someone out there was made for me. Not that I wanted her, but for my mother's sake, Yes I was ready to wait. But I doubt the Moon Goddess will bless someone like me with a mate. A soulmate!!

 The mere thought of my mother brought thousands of memories back in my subconscious... I missed her. 

My brother thinks that one day a girl will come and change me, well, I don't believe what he says. He is such a pain in the ass. But I love him. I love my brother more than anything. Since my parents died, he is the only family I have, not that I miss my father. He was nothing more than a beast to me. But I missed my mother. 

Getting bored from my work, Liam started playing some game in his phone and soon left the office.

I completed checking some files at 11 pm and started heading to my apartment in my car. 

As we were passing by the road, my nose was struck by the most beautiful scent of lavender and caramel. It immediately drove me towards it. I became restless. My wolf started howling inside. MATE. I could  sense her. I wanted to see her. I asked driver to stop the car. I followed the scent. It was from a cafe nearby. Alex was getting restless as I was  heading towards the cafe. 

She is there. Our mate is there. 

I can hear you buddy. Now ease up a bit. I'll find her. 

Go get her fast. 

I went inside the cafe. My eyes were searching for the owner of the scent. There were not many customers. Suddenly my gaze stuck on a waitress. Her back was  facing towards me. She was taking order from a customer. I approached her slowly, standing just behind her. 

I needed to see her. I waited for my mate for years. Not like Liam who has stopped believing in fated mates. Someone who could tame the beast inside me. 

And she was  right here. In front of me. 

I grabbed her arm. Moon Goddess, it gave me sparkles. My body immediately reacted to the touch of my mate. She immediately stiffened and turned to look at me. Just then I saw her. 

She was a pure beauty. Perfect white skin, long black hair, beautiful blue eyes twinkling like stars. She was wearing her work uniform which was showing her thin pale body perfectly. My wolf was overjoyed. He liked her. I liked her. 

We liked our mate. 

 My eyes travelled down and my gaze fell on a scar on her collar bone. 

I was infuriated. Someone hurt her. Even the thought of someone touching her made my blood boil.. I clenched my teeth and my knuckles turned white due to extremely strong fist I made. She became tensed noticing my gaze on her scar and stiffened. 

I didn't want to scare her. But I promised myself whosoever is behind my angel's grief, will see the ultimate hell on Earth!! 

She turned and loosen my grip on her arm. 

"Excuse me. Who are you? " my mate asked me.
