AMARA POV.

I knocked on the alpha's door, hoping against hope he would respond to me.

“Come in”.His gruesome voice said from the other end.A smile appeared on my lips as i heard his resonating voice from the other end.

I went in majestically and met him flipping through some heaps of books with a wine placed on the table.

“You must have been so busy,I was worried so I decided to check up in you”.I went straight to the point, without waiting for him to ask.

“I wanted to ask you why you came!”.He replied,his gaze still fixed on the book.

“You must have been hurt by Selena's betrayal, knowing fully well she's your woman”.I said to him in a low tone, sitting beside him on the couch.

“What about the betrayal?”he asked,his voice cold and menacing.

I was shocked at his response but I couldn't just make it obvious,I had to act up.

“Selena betrayed you by sleeping with a mere guard!Your beta at that!!”. I explained
